A wonderful tour through the Hotel des Invalides, Musee Rodin and the Gros-Caillou. This is my favorite neighborhood in Paris.
Yes, it's a nice, high-end neighborhood.
Tourists tend to just pass there while they prefer staying in Saint-Germain or the Marais.
I’ve had the pleasure of visiting Paris twice, 1st when a child almost 60 years ago, and about 8 years ago with my wife. There is something magical about Paris. I hope to see it again. Your videos are some of the best showcasing Paris. I will continue to watch, remember and dream about going back again. Thank you.
So glad you like them. This is what makes me like doing this.
Labai puikus video ! Labai puikus miestas. Komentatoriaus balsas puikus. informacija puiki !❤️
Labai ačiū🙏
Alain, I love how you quickly cut away the pile of garbage scene in 15:22 😂 lol
It's not really garbage, but, in white bags like this, the waste from a construction site that takes place in the building.
Currently in Paris right now. Had a ticket reserved for Eiffel Tower and followed this route. Thank you so much Alain for taking the time to document this. The map of these locations make it so much easier to follow. You just click on it and location and Google Maps will take care of the rest. Had the burger for lunch and Macaron for desert. Merci beaucoup
Great !
Enjoy your time in Paris !
I like your map with numbers. I can also reverse your order in order for me to continue on my next area.
That's a great idea!
The hotel we are staying at is near the Hotel Cler. Cannot wait to see the area.
Calm and posh neighborhood
I love these in depth videos you do, since it offers up a lot of information that I never knew about Paris. Wonderful video once again. Loved it.
Glad you enjoyed it! 🙂
Thank you very much for useful video, it definitely would help me when I visit Paris next.
Great!
I'm happy if it's helpful.
Thank you so much for such informative, insightful videos. We are visiting Paris next May and your videos are so helpful. I cannot wait to visit the Rodin museum.
I hope you'll like it !🙂
Just got back from a week in Paris and loved it. Napoleon's tomb and the military museum were a highlight.
Glad you liked that part of Paris 🙂
Hello and thank you for your nice Paris videos, I enjoy them. I see you like hamburgers, I thought I would mention that the most delicious burger my family and I have eaten in Paris was at 19 Blvd Montparnasse in the 14th -- The Smoking Dog (not to be confused with the Smoking Dog in the 1st).
Thanks for the tip !
I'll try that...
Bonjour et merci! I am looking forward to taking these walks myself in a few month's time. I hope I'm able to see your videos of each neighborhood to supplement my planning before then❤ lovely work.
Avec plaisir !🙏
I will do other videos, but only of the neighborhoods that are essential to visit.
You can also check my "Paris off the beaten path" videos!
Once again a Superb video!👌👍🗼🙏💜💙💚
Thank you so much 🙏🙏🙏
The Vel d' Hiver !!
The Vel d'Hiv, destroyed in 1959, used to be near the Bir-Hakeim metro station, south of the Eiffel Tower.
Bonsoir 👋🏻 I loveeee this video 😊very helpful 😊
My pleasure 🙏🙏🙏
Nice video of Paris. I like it 👍 I also posted videos of Paris 🙂
Glad you liked it!
@@paristoptips Thank you very much!
Great video. Thanks for sharing. (Pronounce: Eiffel Tawer, not tower)
Thanks for the tip 😁
"Napoleon's son is also buried in the crypt..."
Napoleon II's fate is - how shall I put it? - an interesting historical curiosity. When Josephine failed to produce an heir for Napoleon, Napoleon divorced her and married Marie-Louise (Maria-Luisa Leopoldina Franziska Theresia Josepha Luzia von Habsburg-Lothringen, no less) at Saint-Cloud in 1810, apparently at the suggestion of Count von Metternich, the Austrian (Habsburg) foreign minister. She became quite a popular duchess of Parma in 1814, just as Napoleon I abdicated. That same year, their son Napoleon II (as he would be known) was brought to Vienna and never allowed to leave. In 1832 he died from tuberculosis at the age of 21.
Yes, not a great chance in life...
I think it would be useful if you pronounce all the monuments and places in their original, french language. People visit les invalides and they dont know how to pronounce it :) great work on the channel!
Thanks.
Well, for the Invalides, you have the French pronunciation at 1:26. 🙂
Apart for the Eiffel Tower, I always try to pronounce the French way.
Any chance of a video, but for the other side of the effiel tower neighborhood @ the 15th arrondissement - Grenelle? Is there much to do in that area?😅
Honestly, this part of Paris is mainly residential. There are a few interesting restaurants, 2 parks worth seeing (Georges Brassens and André Citroën where you can fly on a balloon) and 2 nice pedestrian cobbled streets that you have in my 12 Serene & Secret streets video, and that's it.
So, no there aren't many chances for me to make a video on this part of Paris.
Sorry
@@paristoptips appreciate the reply and the recommendations 😊
Nice walk. I had a little trouble following on my map. Perhaps you should post yours. Also is it possible to cross the Debilly bridge and walk toward the Trocadero instead of going back to Quai Jacques Chirac?
Thanks 🙏
You have the link to my map in the description.
And, yes, you can cross the Passerelle Debilly to get to Trocadéro.
Thanks, not sure how I missed that link. I will be trying your map out in a week. @@paristoptips
Great! Hope it helps...
The Paris Hilton became the Hotel Pullman.
Yes, this poor woman was downgraded 😉
Traiteur must be scammy as it’s where Traitors come from?! lol 😂
