There are some tunes, Sonny boy Williamson made for checker label that Little Water can’t touch and there are some tunes little Walter on checker label that Sonnyboy can’t touch, I seen Little Water twice once in 59, and once in 62 what memories😎 I’m 80 & still hep
Important point.

Am I the only one to spot Davey Graham here? In 1963. An overused term - awesome.
This guy is simply the best harmonica player ever.
Is no one talking about the voice, the range, depth, whatever music people call it, phenomenal !
Don't start me to talkin, I'll tell everything I know...
It's all we talk about, he had it in spades
Smoke in the City.
Its called blues music
Sonny may be gone but he isn't forgotten. One of the best harp players the world ever knew. What a sound and what a great voice he had. Heaven is jamming with him and I bet Ray Charles is not too far away and they are playing and singing together!
The real blues. I loved listening to this man, along with Howlin'Wolf, Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker and so many others back in the 60s.
Amazing harp and voice Sonny was amazing!!
I was born in 1986, but when I listen to this legend I feel like I was born in 1886. A man born well after my time..
i’m born1984 from france i m enjoying his musics
❤don’t stop telling your friends and family about these heroes of the blues keep it alive xxx
Maybe remove the ads, that should work. I don’t fkn get it. There all gone who is benefiting from this
When I was a boy, only a thing I would be liked to do, to play the harmonica like Sonny Boy Williamson. The greatest Master!
Сони молодец. Царствие небесное земля пухом тебе великий блюзмэн
Любимый мой музыкант стиля блюэ"гармоника" и "чикаго блюз".Обожаю этот стиль блюз.
Sonny Boy - I LOVE THIS GIANT, THIS MASTER. He's my first Blues Idol !!
Just can't spend a day at work without listening to this.
He's got the soul of the blues and his performance it's the personification of the excellence in the music. He was really a phenomenal master.
Sonny Boy Williamson, simply brilliant
Like Count Basie, every tune Sonny Boy ever played became magically mellow and funky and irresistibly foot-tapping.
86 baby and I swear I love this I can listen to this all day way better then rap
😉💥If anyone else is watching and thought that you knew the Blues, then best be seated because the realist taste of blues have just captured you too! 😮 😢 🤣
You said it .
Sonny Boy Williamson one of the great blues men without a doubt, that looks like Davy Graham in the background playing guitar
It does! Another legend accompanying a Blues legend.
5 hurtin souls gave this wondeeful piece of Art a thumbs down. Makes me afraid of what else they're capable of. Look out.. anything is possible apparently...
They aren't fit to be human beings. If this isn't the best of Blues artistry ever nothing is!
This Back Band didn't know the chord changes for " Don't start me talking " 2nd verse needs to stay 4 more Bars In C7 before go up to F7,,, Sonny Boy,, Please forgive them ,they just don't know the blues..
Brancos negros todos juntos pela musica, essa era uma época difícil ... Black whites all together for music
this is a top performance from a blues icon the BOSS
Yes definitely the greatest harmonica player in the world not just blues but otherwise as well,he can chew, bite & make the harmonica talk, one of the finest blues singer as well, real treat to hear him perform
Not only hear him -- but SEE him. I had vinyl albums of his, and now have UA-cam and can see him perform. Thank you for these wonderful videos, and for valuing and presenting the underappreciated blues music. 🎵
Sonny Bioy was the first genuine Bluesmen I saw live at the Marquee Blues Club in Soho, London, and I have been a Blues fan accross the board ever since.
Mr Sonny Boy Wiliamson inspired me long ago and thats how i learnd to play the harmonica
Brilliant.....been a fan for years....No one better!!!!!
Absolutely amazing artistry and gentle play of harmonica plus those vocals alongside with ol' time blues. Golden gate to blissful day
1st time hearing this..
thanks for the upload of this awesome piece of musical history.
I visited his grave in 1996. Was finally well kept, but took some looking to find it. RIP Sonny Boy Williamson II.
Thanks for posting! My uncle told me Sonny Boy Williams, Muddy Waters, Howlin Wolf and many more would stop by his fathers/my grand dads Juke joint/Bar in Mississippi...where they made corn whisky. He said he actually met them (the above names) and plenty others. Talk about history. I guess this is why I LOVE Blues music...from long time.
WOW! 😲
У "старых" блюзменов инструмент был частью мысли, сердца, души и тела... Сонни Бой яркий пример. Низкий поклон таланту! Снимаю шляпу как говорится. Сейчас одна коммерция. Блюз ушёл вместе с этими людьми.
The blues left with these people, agree. Now is like progressive blues if I might say.
A true legend
Sonny Boy the best ever !!!!!!

Viejo... Quiero estar ahí!!! porfa-vor 👀😍💖🥂🎉🎊🎇😲👍👌👋
I was in Portugal the first time someone showed me this, years ago...
Now in Australia and new friends still listen to Sonny Boy Williamson !
This is superb. Thanks for sharing :)
this guy lives his music
This isn't Sonny Boy Williamson THE 1ST (Born 1914!!) who wrote songs and played the 1st Blues Harmonica.... Sonny Boy the 1st wrote many early Blues like "Hello Schoolgirl" a delightful old blues standard. This SBW (1) had an early, accidental, demise in 1947. I believe this SBW2 may possibly have capitalized upon the reputation of the first SBW(1).
I cannot find the references to confidently support this but I also think SBW1 wrote "Ain't But One Way Out". The history on the Internet regarding these TWO Blues men is not clear on this (What is clear on the internet?!) but the song was made famous by the Allman Brothers Band (60's -70's) who made a fantastic copy of that old standard.
The lyrics go something like this:
"Ain't but one way out baby - Lord I just can't go out that door...
Cause there's a man down there, might be your man, I don't know...
I THINK Sonny Boy Williamson 1 wrote this, but I am not 100% sure. I would just like to see these Blues Classics attributed to THE CORRECT AUTHOR, they deserve at least that much, as so many, like Sonny Boy Williamson the 1st died in obscurity when their music has repeatedly been copied and brought delight to Blues appreciators like myself.
Thank You for this.
WORLDS GREATEST. LOVED HIS BLUES
I go crazy thinking which of the giants of blues is my favorite. Guess ill have to listen to all of them till i take that great gettin up morning
Pas la peine de revenir sur ce que tous les groupes anglais des 60's doivent à tout ce blues qu'ils ont aussi propulsé et remis au goût du jour en mettant fin au "rockabilly" blanc..
Man I've never seen this performance before. Absolutely love it! 🎶

@@jimmydjimmyd1349 This was a UK TV folk music show. People sat and listened (Sonny Boy had NEVER appeared in the UK before, he was SOMETHING!) and showed their appreciation at the end of a number.
what a song !
thanks to post it
Tá doido os caras boa bons eram todos desta época, hoje é esta porcaria de funk brasileiro,um sertanejo funk,
That is Mr. Rice Miller, right after some Years untill taken his career name Sonny Bioy Willianson II, in a great footstage performance.
I could listen to him all days of my life🔥😵
In the blues shuffle Sonny Boy was the Master!
This is 1963.As far as I know, racial segregation in these years was quite pronounced in the United States. Black people were not allowed into certain institutions, and so on. But in this video, we see how the white presenter respectfully represents the black artist, and the white man accompanies him on the guitar. I previously assumed that this was hardly possible in those years. Can anyone comment? Thanks.
@Ramona Rael
Recorded in U.K. Hullabaloo TV Show 21 Dec. 1963
Yea blues in America was tragic , they were highly respected in the UK.
The band didn't know the progression to Don't Start Me Talkin', and Sonny Boy just rolled with it.
Exactly
Yup. They didn't know the stops. The best version is the Chess version with Muddy Waters, Jimmy Rogers, Willie Dixon, Otis Spann and Fred Below.
OH SACRE SONNY BOY WILLIAMSON/PLEASE DON T START ME TO DREEM WITH YOUR MAJIC HARMONICA BLUES.
There are good and then there's the best.
Um gênio
I like his music ❤
This song is a real Hit.
Please, DVD/Blue Ray release of this!!
you think you heard it all.......and then you run into this.......the authentic.........
He was amazing
magnifique
Wow! What a guy he was.
Thank God for the European filming of American blues greats .
The band was going to the 4 chord too soon . It made it where Sonny Boy was having to finish the verse at the start of the next round .
phenomenal
This is timeless American music
