Mars you made something so gruelling look (almost) fun! With the right support crew (Heber and Jules) I bet helped even more! But the guy bringing the energy at 23:15 was next level!
"Doing something that seems uncomfortable to prove to myself that I can." What a great quote, Marston! Congratulations to you, Billy, and Tyson for completing a marathon (and in less than ideal weather)!!
I just ran my 1st marathon yesterday & finished in 3hours 38 minutes shout out Toronto marathon! Watching you go through it was spot on to my thoughts during running! Love this channel! #buttergang #weout
I am doing my first this weekend in Spain. Hoping to get a similar time as that is what my half marathon time is approximately. Running a marathon is one thing but running it sub4 and then sub3 is a whole different superhuman.
@@entertheglow5851 They ran it in 5 hours 28 minutes with two weeks of training! No an easy thing to do. Crazy the different muscles it takes to run as these guys are as fit as they come!
@@ADM-wt9cn 2waaawaeeeks (Total Recall undercover lady) 8-) Thanks for your reply! Wow 2 weeks is not much time at all and yes they are overall fit so they're carrying a lot of extra muscle that isn't used. I know the feeling as I play basketball and have a little bit more upper body/shoulders than your seasoned runner and I feel like I have to carry the extra weight which slows me down but doing lots of training you become faster and more efficient as you say different muscles and constant training gets you there. They also stopped a fair bit during the video and did probably more food than standard so I would even say if they just focused on the run they could get an even faster time. Impressed they finished with almost no time to prepare, definitely a hard gig, was fun to watch.
Sometimes, I wish to have the same life as the buttery bros ( FUN - COLORS - ENERGY - FRIENDS - .... ). But looking at this marathon... sometimes I really don't... 250K subscribers LET'S GOOOOOOOOO they deserve it !
So inspiring and love the honesty Marston, admitting that something was painful but you did it anyway DUDE awesome! Congratulations! Keep up the butteryness
You need to do the Prince George Canada ice man. Run, skate and ski (and swim indoors) in winter. None of this pansy cold rain. Serious winter conditions!
Listen...boys. Got a 3 year old that hasn't slept through the night in 9 weeks. I NEED THAT BEAM JUICE!!! But also, love every freaking video you guys put out. Mars, proud of you for the marathon. My knees hurt for you.
Heber has an unfinished challenge already - seeing him actually get a stone over the bar, after that great effort he made at Martin Licis’ gym, would be a genuine accomplishment
“I feel like a tortoise full of rigor mortis.” 🤣 Much respect for finishing a marathon, Mars and friends! They are tough! And Heebs, way to keep them fueled! Nice work, Jordan, in the Occupational Games. Crushed it!
I can’t imagine running a marathon. I’m watching this after running my first Bloomsday (7.45 miles) yesterday and I can barely stand up today. It’s the farthest I’ve ever run and I didn’t train 😆. Great job Mars!
Nothing starts the day better than the Buttery Bros. Their positive energy, their enthusiasm, their wit, their humor and showing how just overall good people they truly are - it's just so fun and refreshing. EVERY.SINGLE.MOMENT is worth the watch and the time. Nobody does it better than these two gentlemen! The internet's VERY BEST!
"A tortise full of rigor mortis" has to be the greatest thing I've ever heard! Also, the most accurate after that much running lol. Congrats to all the guys for finishing the marathon in the most unpredicatable weather!
The message you guys put out about doing uncomfortable things just to prove that you can is part of the reason I watch your videos!! Inspirational as heck! #buttergang
Love this episode! I ran my 1st 1/2 marathon & started CrossFit right before my 40th bday … nearly 5 years ago. Getting out of our comfort zones is so rewarding! 💪🏻
I ran my first marathon this year, the Paris Marathon... I managed to finish it in 5h10. What a happiness to have participated to this event! I'm already looking forward to the next one! Bravo Mars!!! And thank you for your videos!!! They are so amazing! I hope to meet you one day! I live in France, in the Gorges du Verdon :D
The cover picture of mars is SPOT ON!! Just a tortoise full of rigor mortise! You guys are awesome I’m trying to ease into the lifestyle of occasionally putting yourself through those uncomfortable situations and making you mentally stronger along the way 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
This is amazing. I ran a half marathon a few years ago and it was so hard. I couldn't imagine running a full. Nice work Mars and friends. And Heebs and Juls are the best for capturing it all and bringing the snacks. I also participated in the Occupational Games for Law Enforcement and it was an awesome experience. Loved the workouts and love that CrossFit offers it. Great episode!!!
Way to go, Mars!!! This is how you run a marathon, with hot dogs and donuts on the way. You guys made it look like a lot of fun. I wanna run a marathon like this, let's go!
Love that you guys hop into challenging things without much preparation, always challenging the physical and mental strength!!! Shoutout to you guy too, started drinking beam because of y'all and my sleep has improved dramatically!!!
I once ran the NY Marathon on 2-weeks notice. I was in fairly good shape at the time, so cardio/endurance/strength wasn't the issue. Came in under 4 hours. The problem is the lack of roadwork prep... because your KNEES will not enjoy it afterwards unless you get a couple months of road training in beforehand.
Awesome Job Marston! I just ran a half and was VERY aware of my legs the next couple of days, I can only imagine a full marathon. Proud of you guys, well done!
Even though u are feeling Crunchy at mile 16, ur positive vibes and ur buds make accomplishing anything possible. Cheers and tip of the cap to u. Great job.
Congrats on the Marathon Marston!! You made it look easy!! I love all the support you give each other and it's so inspiring. Especially Hebs on snack patrol. Love Yall!!
Whenever I see people completing a marathon I´m always amazed! I cannot imagine doing 26 miles right now, seems impossible! I know it is possible with proper training, but I guess I find it very admirable! As always, much love from Barcelona!!!
Congratulations on your first marathon. So inspiring to see someone doing hard things and putting words into action. I have watched all your videos, found you all when I first started CrossFit almost 4 years ago!
Really excited at the idea of the buttery bros collating with Yes Theory (based on Mars night before comments)! Two awesome creators who would defo match each other’s energy!!
Love that you guys took on a marathon! I signed up for the NYC marathon this year... will be my first run longer than 8 miles! I think Heber should do a David Goggins challenge like the 4x4x48! Keep having fun while fitnessing. The vibes are immaculate as always.
Congrats on finishing a FULL marathon, Mars! That's a big deal! As a Crossfitting service member, much respect to Jordan for achieving such fitness while also serving others. Thank you for your service!
Hebs looking ready to play for the Netherlands in that all orange get up, some nice drip! 💪🏻 Awesome work in the marathon Mars crazy to think you never ran past 10miles. Super sold effort 😎🤘🏻
Need to get a hype team like you guys next time I run a marathon! Turn it into both a running and food marathon!!! 😂 that "tortoise rigor mortis" killed me... Needs to be on a t-shirt for sure!!!!
That cold hot dog was brutal! Way to go Mars for seeking discomfort and finishing the race! Nice to see Heber there to help cheer you on and keep you hydrated. 😂😊
Training for a marathon in October here in Andover Kansas!!!! Love y’all’s content and I stay inspired by the encouragement y’all give to your community🤘🏼🤘🏼 love it!!
Mars!! I am running my first marathong this November and I'm scared too! No doubt when it gets real tough all I am going to think of is "Tortoise ful of rigo mortise" and get a good laugh and keep running!
Love your guys' positive energy. So contagious. Never change. I legit thought when you said he had to wash the dog down with Reign - I thought you meant RAIN. HAHAHAHA. I'm an idiot.
My wife ran that marathon. She said it was an absolute beast! Not the best weather for a race but what a great story. You guys are wild and crazy and I so appreciate it!!! Great content 👍
I’ve seen every one of y’all’s episodes! You guys are hilarious I love watching what y’all are up to next! I’ve really enjoyed watching the recent episodes of y’all pushing yourself with these challenges. The shows are great!
Didn't think I could feel so proud of someone I've never met, but I genuinely am after watching you kill that marathon Mars...Huge effort mate, congrats. And Heebs and Jules with all the goodies throughout, what a team!
Love this! Seeking discomfort is such a beautiful and chilling Thing. The more you think about it the more insanely crazy it truly is. God bless marston
Very impressive Mars!! Love to see you guys going out of your comfort zones. Very hard for people to do that these days but you guys are showing it’s worth it.
Never seen such great balance between huge effort and equally diverse supplies of food. Great fr#king job on your first marathon my guy, so beautiful vibes like always. Heading myself to my first marathon in 2 weeks! But you already did and now that is on to the next one!
Great job going out of your comfort zone Mars and conquering that marathon. I think Heebs should do the IronMan in Cambridge MD in September. Would give him plenty of time to train. Love watching your content. Look forward to it every week.
Way to goooo!!!!! Always pushing and challenging yourself!! Been training for my first Spartan Beast!! You guys make me laugh and make me want to try harder after a long day!! Keep it up!!

“Tortoise full of rigor mortise” new marsism that I plan to adapt into my gym vocab. Keep it up guys amazing stuff as usual.
