Cool vid! Next time when you repot Portulacaria Afra (dwarf jade), don't water it for a week or so. Succulents grow roots when they are dry (to seek out water). So withholding water will cause the roots to grow, allowing the tree to stabilize in the pot.
+L. A. Nolan thank you for the tip! It is always nice to learn new things along the way I still have a lot to figure out! Check the update video to see it in its proper pot it has rooted and is growing well thanks again for your interest in the video!
I see everyone saying to wait to water, but you're the first person I've seen explain why and now it makes sense. Before, I was thinking, "what does it hurt?"
Can you please tell me what all of these soil names are? I have the same kind of tree and want to do this same thing to my tree! Thank you for sharing!!!
I swear by this soil for my bonsai trees! Its been great and i actually just did a repot of that same jade in fresh soil. The root structure was looking fantastic. Appreciate the comment! Tropical Bonsai Soil by Tinyroots - www.amazon.com/dp/B007GSHZLG?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details
+David Lieu Thank you I appreciate the comment! I didn't for this video because I knew I would be moving it shortly but once I brought it to its current pot I did wire the root ball as the new pot came with anchoring holes. I don't know if the thumbnail does it justice so I may post a quick video of the tree in its new Bonsai Boy oval pot.
Using the tiny roots tropical blend keeps your elephant jade healthy since inside. I have one but my leaves are not as full as yours because use potting soil. I wonder if that's causing my jade not to have lots of leaves
+keysBW maybe give it a try then and look for improvement! Let me know what happens my plants did respond well to the blend. Best of luck thanks for stopping by!

+Ramel Escobar for mine it took some time to get used to its new location before budding new leaves. Do you have a grow light on the tree? Mine began growing much faster after I added a light. As long as you aren't losing a lot of leaves I wouldn't be too worried
I keep moss off of my jade based on the advice I've been given by others but if you have a big enough pot then the moss can be placed further away from the root base and you could water the moss without overwatering the tree. Check out the update video to see the tree in its true pot, its linked towards the end. Thanks for watching!
Thank you, I always loved Icons. I only have one though. It's St. Dominic Savio (the Catholic Church). I am subscribing - tomorrow I start my Portulacara afra bonsai (dwarf jade). :)
I enjoy icons as well I will have to take a look at that icon online they are peaceful to have in a room. Thank you for subscribing and good luck on your journey! you can check out the update video to the dwarf jade that i have posted to get a better look with a true bonsai pot if you'd like!

A whole lot more now...
are jade plants grow slow or not because I have one at home and I bought it like a month ago and I don't think it has grown for a month

I have a dwarf jade too, it'd it safe to moss them? I haven't because I'm worried about root rot.

Sir, may I ask which Saint is on the Icon on your wall?
PhobosAnomaly Of course, that is Saint Ιάκωβος from the Greek Orthodox church. Thanks for watching and have a good day!

The picture in the Thumbnail is the pot that I ended up using. The one in the video was simply a quick transition pot.
