Projecting emotions onto inanimate things is a side effect of how social humans naturally are. This video is an example of such a concept through the highly demonstrative art style of japanese anime, which helps sell the emotions behind it. Well done!
Well we can't ignore the fact that it is a bit fun , ofc of it didn't go far enough to make us use bing XD
Yeah but think about it, there's people behind Bing an ie too, and also weirdly it let's us see how much we project hate and disapproval and non acceptance and criticism as long as we don't feel like it's something that's gonna hurt the person, but weirdly it's us who are hurt by that
I partially think those companies deserve hate as the break internet and censor for their profit, and that should not be tolerated to any degree.
Story telling and animation gives goose bumbs it is good, It is kinds missing the part when Firefox starts using chromes extension framework, becoming controlled by google. As far as I know, Firefox was born from Netscape source code. So instead of death, the story of Netscape sould be portrayed as rebirth. But since the story of death can create bigger impact for the viewers, then it is understandable.

@@xuanbachlai5371 Firefox can be secret child of Netscape, if only Firefox came from the same company that own Netscape. But reality is Firefox was born from different project, but use Netscape source code which was previously a closed source browser. The reason firefox cannot be killed is because it's open source, meaning anyone can access the code that makes firefox tick. So as long as the repo with firefox's vode is still up, anyone can make their own version of firefox, there even used to be a branch of firefox that was designed for powerPC macs, an architechture created by motorola, IBM and apple and that was killed off in the mid 2000's.

I have to say, as someone who continues to use an older computer , i like that Edge doesnt eat up as much RAM. It's actually sped up a bit since chrome was uninstalled and is no longer running in the background constantly
I went into this with very low expectations...
Needless to say, I was met with much delight in its quality.
I am amazed. The technical details are so accurate. Wow. You can actually call this a history lesson.
Except for the fact that Edge isn't actually an update of Explorer, it's completely seperate. Explorer has existed on every windows PC alongside Edge for nearly the last 7 years that Edge has existed and will actually be killed soon. Windows 10 will stop supporting Explorer in June.
Also Edge is built on the chromium engine which is a bit of a plot hole...
Edit: The apparent 'plot hole' I pointed out isn't actually a plot hole because Edge was actually launched based on a proprietary engine and was only rebuilt using Chromium in 2018.
@@AM-qv9mt it basically is edge is the new version of explorer while the old version is kept around so long cause alot of office tech and goverment tech uses it just like how AOL is still kicking around because of that

Never thought a comic about web browsers and search engines would make me care about them.
What a masterpiece!
Edge isn't IE at all. It's a complete rework based on Chromium source code. IE still exists because it's needed for legacy applications like Steps Recorder for debugging, but you have to enable flags in edge which utilize parts of the old source code. It's basically a chrome cyborg dressed like IE with tiny bits of her body stuffed inside.
The original edge that released was based on a souped up IE code base. Around 2021 they gave up due to google always crippling its website performance for other browsers in combination with still low user numbers and just dumped it and build up a custom chromium based browser we know today.
You can tell which is which from the icon. The old IE based edge was a flatter ‘e’ icon whereas the new edge is that blue-green swirl icon, that one is chromium based.
It actually was decent and really power efficient for windows.
I was really expecting at some point of this episode IE to realize she's also using Chromium now. Somewhere during the last epic fight would have been perfect.
Shhh. Don't spoil the fun.
A mahou shojo moving manga about internet browsers and cybersecurity? I love it. Wondering how the plot will develop with Edge gaining the power of chromium herself.

@@doomakarn The fun thing is when the edge first came out , it was using its own core , not the chromium.
I'm wondering will they mention it in season 2
@@doomakarn what about WebKit based ones
Funny thing is any browser requires a Layout Engine for CSS elements to be displayed properly.
Microsoft Edge uses their own layout engine - Trident
Mozilla Firefox uses their own layout engine - Gecko
Both Chrome and Safari uses an open source layout engine - Webkit
In terms of performance both Webkit and Gecko are neck on neck. In fact Gecko was the first one to pass the ACID 3 test.
Unfortunately Trident was one of the last Layout Engines to pass the ACID 3 test. It had a lot of trouble to render in all the elements and even today Trident struggles to load certain CSS elements consistently.
I've personally had issues using the transform element functionality to work consistently across all browsers, because of the way Trident renders web elements.

I hope to see more of this show soon, and for Brave too, which is my current main browser
I like TOR being the queen of deep web. That's what most users (including me) use TOR for.
Yo. Missed opportunity to use Brave as a browser. But the plot in this series and the way that it makes Chrome look is amazing. For a long time, Google had the slogan of "Don't be evil" and that should have been placed in the Chrome Growth Arc. Well done!
24:51 "using your monopoly on the computer to force yourself on users"
Chrome absolutely have a point here. None can defend Edge's args
Reminds me of pain saga where the villain makes more sense than the mc
I love how Chrome pointed out that it's not black and white.
(get it? chrome? colors? ok, anyway...)
and there's no such thing as privacy in chrome, chromium is shit.
@@lwoklidfrtf you mean? Today most browsers have chromium as their basis, even ms edge
User: "Internet Explorer... Uninstall? Uninstall how?! NANI?!" Microsoft: "CHOICE IS AN ILLUSION"
I love this series, a definite masterpiece.
this is top tier. wish a studio would animate it
