So he absolutely adored her and her voice! I once heard him say that he loved the tone of her voice. He also added that if he did a duet with her it would fit together like "H2 and O". I come here and listen to this performance from time to time it makes me feel happy and blessed.
Every time I watch Luther I cry.. I still put flowers by his grave site. He's high in a wall but he knows I'm still there saying hello. As for Miss Diana Ross... I love her to pieces! 💜🙏
Yep Both Excellent singers- Luthers voice was unreal- *A House is Still a House *and *Unreachable Star* -along with* Dance with My Father* were 3 of my Favs..
Just beautiful, just love how the audience loved every time Luther sang, made my eyes fill up a bit, Luther may be gone in body, but he lives on in our hearts, god bless you.
A consummate professional! Mr. Luther Vandross just showed the world what it is to be ready, to think on your feet, how to be gracious and a gentleman all in a moment's notice. He knows his craft. He new when to come in with his vocalization even though he didn't know the song.
This was incredible!!! I was at this concert. The Diana Ross and the Supremes return to love concert in 2000 when she brought him up on stage at MSG. The two of them together was out of this world. This was the second time I saw Luther at a Diana Ross concert but, the first time I saw him on stage singing with her. Once in a lifetime event for me. Memorable 25th birthday gift for me.
What is so joyous and telling is the fact that he was loved by so many in the industry. He must have been a nice person. The icons of the entertainment world adored him. They all shared him as a friend. That is awesome. May God rest his beautiful spirit.
absolutely incomparable.... and I had the Gods honour of getting to know both of them, individually and together!!! My God, have I got some awe inspiring memories!! I feel so so very grateful 🥰🌟🧡
First thank you for uploading this gem. It is a first for me. Miss Ross without a doubt the most beautiful voice on the planet and oh how I miss our Luther.... a magnificent talent treasure.
Please world remember that Luther is his own voice...quote ..he is his own voice again and again he has his own voice,a strong voice can try him try only..enough said.......
I'll take the blame for filming this then (one of the angles anyway). Whoever said they edited this? Lied. Was glad to catch this moment since the tour got cancelled shortly after. RIP Luther V.
The song is “The Best Years of my Life”. Not a popular song-it was a bonus cut on her first solo greatest hits lp (around the time the Boss lp came out?). They should definately play that @ her funeral-it’s great!
Their true talent was their love and passion for connecting and communicating with our hearts and souls through music! Yes, their instruments were priceless gifts from God but their hearts and souls are what made the difference in their art! I think if they were still living they might tell us that Life is not about money. It's about the passion for and love of what you do, the ability to heal, thrive, and above all, give and receive LOVE. All the money in the world did not help them with their private and public pain. Are you familiar with their life stories? In any case, I am truly grateful to them for sharing their gifts which will continue to lift us up as we enjoy their music for generations to come. Thank God for his angels... I pray that their souls are finally at PEACE! 🙏💜🕯 As for you, I pray that you find and enjoy your passion, invest in yourself and that which brings you joy, and, above all, that you enjoy good health and an abundance of love through your life! 💜✌🙏
Yes he was underweight and didn't look that good at that size. He was just the right size at the 30th year of Michael Jackson's ceremony. 6 ft 3 he didn't need to bel so small with Diana Ross. Besides he was big boned.
you are a certifiable IDIOT... and I cannot even stand Luther Vandross, but he sounded GREAT here... and at anytime, anywhere the man COULD SING. Hands down... both he and Miss Ross sounded great

Fabulous. Luther man, we miss you.
Wonderful. Ms. Ross has survived through the years and still with us. Lovely Luther Rest in Paradise. 👌💗🙏🎶🎵🎼
Holy moly guacomole. To ride on a melody so well for the first time, you need to body it and become the melody. WOW! Luther was different. RIP King.
Sometimes the world has a magical moment in time, that was one of them
SINGING WAS JUST IN THEIR BLOOD 🩸 AND THEY EARNED EVERY PENNY OF THEIR JOBS!!
Miss your voice so much Luther may you rest peacefully

Thank you. We appreciate a moment in time. What song is this so I can hear the recorded version?
The song is “The Best Years of my Life”. Not a popular song-it was a bonus cut on her first solo greatest hits lp (around the time the Boss lp came out?). They should definately play that @ her funeral-it’s great!
“He doesn’t know this one, but he’ll hang in there with me anyway”......to this day, I’m like 😂
2019! The BOSS!!
Awesome
No words can express this just water
Diana is one singing woman!!
If only certain traits can be transferred I will ask for Luther's talent with that of Marvin Gaye! Boy I will be a billionaire

Beautiful
You better think twice before inviting Luther to come sing with you ....the master of their master
Awesome!
What a great moment and display of amazing down to earth talents
Luther & Diana could've had a classic as big as "Endless Love" or better if they actually recorded together.

Luther was about 20 lbs. UNDERWEIGHT here.
Yes he was underweight and didn't look that good at that size. He was just the right size at the 30th year of Michael Jackson's ceremony. 6 ft 3 he didn't need to bel so small with Diana Ross. Besides he was big boned.
Grown ass man trying to hold it in 😢
He looks ill here...
Oops spelled his name incorrectly, can't have that, Vandross.
This is the worst I've ever heard the two of them even him or her
This is being filmed on a phone. .with the background of the audience...I wonder what you sound like...
you are a certifiable IDIOT... and I cannot even stand Luther Vandross, but he sounded GREAT here... and at anytime, anywhere the man COULD SING. Hands down... both he and Miss Ross sounded great
