- Hey everyone! It's that time of year again! Time for the annual SAGE demo fest! All this week I'm going to be playing demo's of indie and fan game creators! The first game is Scratchin' Melodii by

This was a fun music game, Good tunes and animation as well. The biggest suggestion would be to make it easier to tell when the transition between the repeating and supporting phases was about to occur.

This game is literally amazing already holy shit
Honestly i like the robotic like voices, it gives it a unique charm i haven't seen in many other games especially ones like this.
The character designs are so cool too, especially the burger guy. The artstyle is like a way more fluid version of some rythm heaven, but has its own charm to it as well. I'm really excited to see where this goes!

Keeping up with the supporting phases is really hard and the scratchin' parts are very hard, especially with a joystick.
I've played PaRappa the Rapper 2 which has the same gameplay minus the scratchin' and Melodii is wayyyy more difficult in comparaison.
I'm excited to see what the story mode will be like, and maybe there will even be fully animated cutscenes and I'd love that since the characters seem pretty good so far. Gameplay feels nice, but it really should be made a bit more forgiving since it feels more unfair at times than hard.
Yeah, knowing when the supporting part is active is my main issue. With a little practice the rest of the game is not that bad.

MCWave's stage suffers from so many issues. Allow me to make a comprehensive list of them.
-The game often lags out at key moments.
-The charting doesn't really fit the stage all that well.
-The background music can tend to drown out the vocals.
-The song is too good to not vibe to
-The support bit after the opening is almost impossible to react to in time.
-Also, the game engine is generally really picky with what it'll allow.
-To add to this, there seems to be a bug that just softlocks the game at the end of this stage, instead of sending you to the results screen.

I think they have improved lag in new demo, and that crash bug too. Otherwise I think I disagree with the rest of the stuff.

I feel like there isn't enough indication as to when the Support and Repeat segments begin and end. And to a lesser extent, the same applies for when your actual turn to play is
The voice acting should probably be full instead of text to speech as well, a lot of the lines are very quiet and muddled
Parts like 9:34 are also not very rhythmatic and are hard to follow not because of how many notes there are, but there isn't much of a melody
i love this game, it looks super cool, but it could use some proper voice acting before 1.0 instead of using fl studio voices
the mcdonalds guy totally looks kinda like saltydkdan and i wouldn't mind if he made a cameo as the VA

This build and this year's build is different on a good note.
I understand the people that comment saying its hard, but I really hope if this is fully released they don't tone down the difficulty. If a games too hard you can improve, if a games too easy it gets old very quickly and I think this especially applies for rhythym games

I came here after seeing the 2022 build and to me the voices seem to be more quiet sometimes being drowned out by the music

Anyways, it seems like this was only half as many songs and no story mode or something. :? Sigh... that's too bad, but I suppose the old one is still something. :p You know, going by the creator's youtube channel, I think I assumed that as Grease Poppin' was the first song uploaded before anything else despite being the last song, as everything that was supposed to lead up to that moment was planned later, which is interesting. :p
