The larger the screen the more you need to check the impact of lower entry upward of airflow, as behind such big screen a underpressure is created as the wind is pushed over you which in addition sucks air from behind the screen feed by the airflow from below upwards. That causing buffeting too.
Thanks from Arizona... i had a vent atop of my helmet that i put bkack electic tape on and it got rid of 80% of the noise, made me really like the helmet... thanks. Dave
I have a screen similar to yours on my vintage Moto Guzzi. It makes no buffeting at all. It’s also relatively high mounted. It really is the smoothest ride of all my bikes.
Morning Proffessori, rode with a chap to Aviemore a few years back. Experimenting with the scree is a good idea. This chap took a hacksaw to the top of the screen and consistently ruined it.Turned out to be his very expensive HD helmet with a peak was the problem. Result, he couldn't ride above 60mph, so a very slow ride to and from Scotland was had by all 10 of us.
