Now to fix the active aero on cars from forza horizon 3 onwards... surely that won't take another 10 years
The vast majority of the forza car models are ONLY 19 which only lets them consume alcohol in 90% of the world
They would be able to drive AND drink in the entirety of it before we're done with the process

5 was fun for me in the first week I got it, but then the first year of updates were really depressing. Thankfully the dlc was good and the upcoming update looks interesting

I’m stoked at the idea of this being re-modelled and I’m glad to hear I wasn’t the only fan of the car model being irritated by the injustice of it either not appearing in games, or appearing as an out dated, poor quality model etc. 😂

they should of updated the car models when the xbox one came out instead of waiting about 19 years

@exoticspeedefy7916 about building the game from the ground up. About recording engine sounds and then putting them in the game. None of the muscle cars sound right. None of the jdm cars sound right. None of the super cars sound right. They even have some engine sounds recycled from horizon 3. Some engines have the same sounds as other engines despite their claims of recording new sounds. Heck, they went as far as to say they recorded different exhausts on some cars. Yes, some sound good. Others sound horrible. Max upgrade exhaust on any modern muscle makes them all sound the same even though they have clearly distinct sounds. Even stock exhaust isn't correct. They have straight cut gears on every car. Nearly every turbo blowoff valve sounds the same. At least let us change the blowoff valve sounds for ourselves. It could even affect performance too.

They specifically stated the tracks would be rescanned and remade for FM8 and that clearly hasn't been the case, so actually rescanning cars WITHOUT advertising it would be really weird

@@rAtableable the nordschleife in fm5-7 has some pretty serious inaccuracies in its kerb size, camber, smoothness, etc. These are replicated in FM8 perfectly down to the polygon.
Its got new eyecandy, trackside detail, etc. But the track surface is the same.
Im hopping on seeing updated and good looking forza lips and spoiler!

They better give us new customization, instead of leaving the car bare like the 22b, a lot of people don't want to drift a stock s15.
If anything, I really want an interior upgrade like Shift 2 Unleashed. With different steering wheel, Seats, Rollcage even stripped out door trims and floor. I'm not asking anything crazy like additional gauge or different cluster but hey. At least I'm not driving an 1200HP RX-7 with stock interior cause that's just plain weird.
@@abdullahisdanul107 Yeah, just put them as options beside the rollcage. A new steering wheel, options for a gauge cluster so you can tell how much boost your turbo has/how high your swapped engine is revving,and remove the passenger seat like the old games did. It's unlikely they'll allow a stripped interior, because that requires alot of scanning.

I’ve also noticed some cars having inaccurate stock 0-60 and top speed. This then makes the numbers after tuning unrealistic
Amazing news. I’m interested to see how it will work. I have 4 liveries for my S15. I expect we’ll have to make adjustments but what I’ll do just incase is save each side of my cars as a vinyl group

Another car that needs a rescan is the Mk4 VW Golf R32. I’d love to see the Shelby Series One and Honda Civic / Civic Del Sol back from previous Xbox gen with a rescan. Maybe that’s why cars like the Mitsubishi FTO, Civic and early Mazda RX7 and Cosmo aren’t currently in FM5; they are being rescanned since FH4. I know the FTO wasn’t in FH4 but it was in that game and FH5 hidden background files.
Are they going to address the atrocious car sounds and the terrible audio overall sound quality on the sounds?
They are nowhere near the level of FM4, FM5 and FM6.

It's possible to replace the models and keep the liveries working as they should (maybe with small projections errors). Tunes should be good as well, but only if they decide to also remodel all of the custom bodywork like bumpers etc cause they have an impact on car performance. If they won't do custom parts then I don't know how they are going to handle tunes - they could make it so all tunes are using standard body pieces, but that will have an effect on tune performance.
I’m really hoping we get these cars very soon especially in FH5 but I have very low faith and expectations.

Now I know this is me being wishful here, but I couldn't help but notice that all these re-scanned cars are within (what I consider) a "retro" timeframe.. how awesome would it be if all these new models came with the retrowave series update for FH5.. I doubt it would happen (taking into account they'd have to release them on Motorsport too) but it's not 100% impossible I guess..?
I think they should introduce them in the current forza games as new models but separated from the old models

Forza TBH needs to look at how Gran Turismo models their cars and the cars in their game. Considering how successful Gran Turismo is and has been over the years.

The only racing games series more succsessful are Need For Speed (150 million sales) and Mario Kart (152 million sales)

@@One21P The steering wheel is inaccurate & it doesn't have a roll cage like it does I real life. The steering wheel in real life has Alcantara, but in Forza, it does not.

I think theyre doing a good job of cleanup and tying loose ends in 5 in preperation for 6. I still wish they would add alot more bodykits and visual customization. At the bare minimum more forza aero that looks better. 3 or 4 wing options and a few generic front splitter options. I think they should dive deeper into tuning as well. Timing. Boost psi tuning/ boost by gear. Even having the option of blowing an engine and not finishing a race because of running a borderline sketch tune would be fun. I would also be a customer if they did a 3rd expansion with driving roads that are as good as the rally expansion. Hot wheels was a joke

I think we are closer to a GTA timeline in terms of FH6, I think there’s a lot left on the bone for FH5 in the eyes of the developers

This is great! Very happy they are starting to do this. Maybe they already were planning it but having issues at the start of this release of motorsport has taken mire time than they expected. I would love to see the 240sx remodelled aswell!
I would certainly want the 2003 Golf and 2004 Honda Civic to also be remodeled, but Turn 10 can only do so much outdated cars at a time, so I can only hope that they'll start remodeling those cars along with many others in their next planned set, and so on.
They need an entire F&F franchise DLC all cars the main cast and villains drove through out the the 11 movies!

You know for the people like me that spent over 100$ for forza horizon 5 they should make all cars available not have to be purchased.

It's no one's fault you bought a game for $100 knowing damn well how the gaming industry today is all about incomplete products and microtransactions. Maybe next time wait a lil and see how the game is received
If you actually read the store page before buying the game, you would know that some cars would only be available through purchases, but I guess that nowadays people can't even be bothered to read about the stuff they are buying.

We need accurate sounds with better overrun sounds, louder turbo spools with good blow off sounds maybe even custom tuning for exhaust and turbo sounds, more in depth customisation/tuning custom steering wheels all that good stuff and this game will be great
I’m going to be honest. If we’re to look at the whole features FH5 introduced and is still introducing then it might have 2 years in it at most.
What I really hope is that they get to remodel their entire roster of old car models (from the original FM models to the Xbox360 and early horizon era) like the Muscle cars, most of the JDMs, heck even a lot of European models.
If they can by a miracle do this or they actually did this till FH6 then we’re in for a good one.
And now I know it would mess up a lot of imported liveries. I myself spent a lot of time doing them. I’m willing to fix the broken sections if it means we’re getting remodels.
I just Hope they can make it in such a way that it’s still possible to import. Even if things are misaligned. Worked for 22B in FM so I don’t see a reason why it couldn’t work in the future
This is great news, very happy to know this will happen. No idea when or how but hey. Maybe from the start of FH6 but in a monthly update for FH5 would be awesome but I bet it would mess with some liveries featuring logos.

I feel the 22b remodel would've been in fh5 had fm8/fm2023 released in 2019 and not in 2023 (I also think the s15 is going to take a while if we're gonna get some new widebodies and the fact a lot of them have been modded to the moon and back or severely damaged)

the new 22b is missing the sti badging on the fender and on the foglight covers but it's still a massive improvement

i seriously hope they turn the VXI Viper ACR's aero into the extreme aero package if theyre remodeling all if not most old cars. its unlikely but im still hoping for it

I think that it is quite difficult to find a stock e30 and r32 as they are very rare now
OEM GT-R R32 are kinda easy to find(since most owners decided to reverted back to stock for investment purpose). But M3 E30 can be quite a pain to search since everyone probably converted their 3 series coupe E30 into an M3.
That’s funny how they say they can’t just bring new models in the current games but yet the Subaru 22B got a new car model in FM and FH5
Golf mk4 absolutely needs it as well. Rear is very weird and has always been, at the very least since FM2 (!!!). No idea about FM1 as I never owned an original XBOX.

I hope PGG and Turn 10 work more together and help each other out with car models, ideas and engine sounds.
I think that a lot more cars could benefit from a rescan and remodel. It would also open more availability for certain body kits as well. One I would like to see is the 1995 Toyota MR2. I really want to see the TRD 2000GT widebody kit available for it, and if it means that the car needs to be remodeled, I'm all in favor of that.

As long as the developers don’t make us vote for what car models we want updated and they just bite the bullet/ commit to doing them all. It would be a shame if they ignored audio quality as well especially since the sounds are just as old. If they wanna do a separate update for the visuals and sounds/ audio quality I would mind but if they only do one of the 2 why even try lets not forget nismo customization for Nissan cars and Trd for Toyota for example just a few things they could sneak in with the new car models if they wanted to put in the extra effort/actually are “car enthusiasts” like they say they are.
I know the 7th-8th and 9th Gen honda civic was on motorsport series back then, would be awesome to bring them back on H5

Also they need to remodel car sounds mainly engines sounding like thier 1 to 1 so it is more emersive
TBH I actually care more about the horrific audio files than the outdated car models. I am glad they are beginning to fix some of the worst offenders, but what I really want is for them to fix how bad most of these cars sound. Especially because many of them sound pretty good in FH5. I really can't understand why they went with worse sounding audio files when they had better sounding ones already. All of the V12s in FM are truly shocking.
I want to see the 1987 Pontiac firebird be updated. Hood and trunk cant open, and the underside is a png. Also the tail light has particle errors when the car gets covered in dust.
mx5 daisy wheels show as chrome around the lip no matter what colour they are, hope they fix this soon
One thing I'm noticing is that all the cars you listed could now be classified as "retro". Could be an indication that this is happening next week🤔
I hope they fix more of the problems, like the oversteer glitch. This is going good.
each car takes about 1 to 2 weeks to rescan and touch-up, not years. Scanning takes a couple hour to complete, the majority of the time is spent correcting scan errors in blender and adding fine/final details to each car model..
It takes momths to do all the process for each car.
Hopefully, they will re-model the R34 GT-R as well! Because the nismo front bumper is inaccurate and the engine scale is huge when viewing it in forza vista.

There's an issue with the Lamborghini Murcielago LP 670-4 SV's airscoop/rear vents modeling and animation.
R32 needs it bad. Looks horrendous
I wish they would rescan the 2003 Porsche 986 Boxster S and perhaps scan a 99 base model so we can have both the Porsche 986.1 and a 986.2 Boxster respectively, and I just have a five speed 986.1 from 1999 so I think that would be pretty cool to drive that car in game but regardless, I’d like to see the 2003 Porsche 986.2 Boxster for Forza Motorsport 2 make return as well as the 957 Porsche Cayenne from Forza motorsport 3
hopefully the rescanned car models will make it to horizon 6 and the next update of motorsport 8
Tbh I don't know what they did but the interiors on fh5 are really good but in FM a lot of interiors are blurry...
I really hope to drive the new Trueno model in Horizon 6. And on the side, we can have the option of swapping the original 4-AGE 16v with the 20v. And please Forza, give us more customizations for the japanese cars!

Would be nice if they could rescan the FN2 Type R, mainly the interior the textures/lighting are way off, even the font used on the digital speedo is wrong, It's the same font used on the s2000 cluster and they got that one right. I own one myself, i'd gladly hand it over for a day so they can scan it

Still a long way to go. The blobeye is modeled wrong so is the R34 skyline, the Lexus IS / Altezza S13, S14, 240sx etc.

Well, one reason this has taken so long surely must be the corona-virus pandemic - it cut almost two years out of the development schedule. Yes, they have been working on in that time, but with highly reduced efficiency. And actions like scanning cars were quite difficult during this time, if not impossible.
Forza keeping Xbox 360 era car models is like when Gran Turismo 6 and 7 had standard PS2 era car models in those games. At least Polyphony is rebuilding their Gran Turismo car list with more detailed models and now hopefully Turn 10 and Playground Games will do the same for the next Forza title.
Correction: Gran Turismo 5 and 6 had standard cars.
Erm gran turismo 7 does not have standard cars gran turismo 5 and 6 did since half of them were ported from gran turismo 4 due to hardware limitation on ps3
