Hey Ross.... you got some sun ☀️.... we got none just dampness.... yah jealous 😒... for my exhaust pipe dirt I used a flexible pipe clamped on... I adjusted until I found the right spot. Glad I had a flexible pipe on a tight turn the tire hit the pipe... just pushed it out of the way and didn't cut the tire...works great now. 😀 Good. Video 👍
Hi Ross update on the cab . Took 3 hours and didn't need to drill any holes ,I love it {sturdy} and well thought out. Can be removed with 3 bolts on each side and the cab comes off in one piece .5 minutes . Were I'm at the wind is what gets you. The time and money for me to make one wasn't going to happen. Its 90 degrees {warmer} this week by me......{wont last} great video Ross
Great tip about blowing off the air cleaner. Interesting how the engine looked backwards in the BX. My B2601 has the battery and radiator in the front. Changing that fan belt looks like it may be a bit of a challenge! Nice job, Ross!
Great video Ross. Your weather and snow looks same as ours. Crazy warm here also. Temps Closer to normal starting tomorrow but not much snow in forecast. Fun watching Jon today wish we were getting that.❄️. I did some maintenance today also on the Kioti, checking loader bolts and lugs for proper torque. Take care and be safe 👍✊
Hi Bob, yes it was fun on Jon's live. We still have rain right now, but colder temps are on the way. Snow will be here again soon enough. Thank you Bob. Chat soon.
Good evening Ross. Great video… I always add additive to my fuel… This weather has been so screwed up this year all over the place.. Thank for sharing your experience and adventures. As always stay safe and always be kind. Cheers
@@RossOnTheLand Did an oil change in Nov any should post Friday, but currently we are still cutting down small trees by the road that were effected by the freezing rain we had a few weeks ago. Seems like a never ending process.
"What did you do on your land today," coincidentally, I did almost the same with my Kioti., mainly greasing the F.E.L. arms and hinge points, as well as re-check the rear mount PTO joints to the snow blower. We still have not had enough snow to plow, but the weather forecast is calling for " periods of snow" Friday thru Sunday, with freezing temps. Who know, I might get a chance t play in the snow.
Super helpful. Thank you! I'm glad you pointed out the braking issue when going downhill. It's super scary when the tractor goes into "freefall" even when stomping on the brakes. I now back down hills and use 4x4.
You are welcome, and that's a great idea going down backwards! I'll have to add that to my operations. Have a good day, thanks for watching and commenting.
I don’t try to make people feel uncomfortable but man when you use compressed air like that ya gotta put on some safety glasses. The info for the Kubota website is spot on. And I see that someone already let you know about the filter cover. Great job, enjoyed the video. I have to do a 400hr on my tractor.
Hi Mike! Much appreciated about safety, my only (poor) defense, was I did squint.. and I was pointing it away from me, but you are 💯 agree with you. Thanks. Glad you liked the video. Have a great day.
Hi Ross, regarding that exhaust soot on your 'blower; I had a similar situation on my tractor, so I used a couple of 22 1/2 degree elbows ( copper ) from the local plumbing shop and these fit the exhaust perfectly, held in place with muffler clamp. Now the exhaust blows off to the side and totally away from the tractor. Oh btw, my exhaust pipe s 1 1/4" OD so getting those fitting to fit was easy.
Good video Ross, excellent tips. I am surprised that you only have 100 hours on your BX. I like the reverse air flow on the BX, sucking in air from the operator's platform. It has it's benefits. The Evacuator valve should be closed and opened when servicing. It not only allows for moisture to drain but dust be expelled. I don't think that it should have a big smile the way yours does. When the tractor runs a vacuum will build up inside the air filter wich closes the Evacuator. There is a spinning action that forces dust debris to the Evacuator valve. Pulses open it very quickly to expell accumulated dust then closes it. I would check if it closes enough when the tractor is running.
Hey Paul. I have a bit more than that now, like 140, but didn't get a chance earlier to do that check. So because it was nice out I decided to check them. I'll definitely see what that valve is doing when the tractor is on. Thanks for the info, that makes a lot of sense. Have a great weekend.
Hey Ross. Great video. I'm a Mahindra guy so Dave is my guy for maintenance tips but this video is very thorough. Maintenance is key to a major investment . Thanks for the great content Ross.
Put a stack on her Ross, like the old antique tractors. With a flapper on top of the muffler. Hehe. I thought it was a oil and hydraulic oil change 100 hour service. Plus what you did. Does the Kubota web site show service intervals of what to do Ross. Im just curious. I don’t have one of those tractors.
Hi Edward, here I think it'll be like $300-500 all said and done, but have the pipe here already so Welding something would be way more cost effective. I do want a hydraulic top link for sure. And an angle rear blade as well,
@@RossOnTheLand howdy, and let me say that your video was wonderful. Do you have the extra hydraulic for a top link addition? Or is that something also you would have to add.?
Hello Ross on the land I put 109. Hours on my Kubota bx1880. michigan hasn't seen snow in years for michigan rain. In the winter January winter rain. What happened to all the snow for Michigan. The last time we had snow were kids. Not any more.
That is weird, maybe because of the lakes? This year has been an odd winter as well. I can't remember having these warm temps and loss of snow mid winter.... Thanks Ryan.
The only thing I would be careful with is the air filter. I wouldn't blow it out unless you had the secondary filter inside. In that case I would only clean the outer filter. Tearing filter pleats is very easy to do. And the air will take the path of least resistance when the engine is running. I know you will replace it in a few months so it isn't a big deal.
@11:24 - Just curious about what is involved to replace that fan belt? Hard to tell looking at it from the angle of the video, but it looks like the drive shaft would need to be disconnected from the crank. Oh course, I could just be looking at it wrong.
Hello and welcome! I have over 50 videos in a playlist of My BX and snowblowing. I have the 2822A Heavy Duty blower and live it. I'll answer as many questions as you have. Much appreciated

The Kubota app is an excellent tip Ross
Hey Gary, I'm surprised not many know about it. Thanks.
@@RossOnTheLand there's a kubota app?....brb....
Haha! Yup git it! 😂
Wow! Your weather up there! Crazy!
Yup. This is a bit unusual for sure. Next week it'll be back to deep freeze and there is plenty of time for more snow.

Nice little rundown of the 100 hour service and inspection! Great tips!
Thanks Lucas. I'm a bit late doing it, but that's ok :)
Ok I didn't know about the Kubota App! There I learned something today, Thanks Ross! The weather has been nuts here too. 👍🍻🚜
The air filter dump flap thingy closes with the vacuum created by the engine running.
Thank you Mark. Wasn't sure if my old man brain forgot about that gap 🤪 yes check out the app.
Great maintenance video, there’s a couple of items I need to check 😮😂. Have a great buddy 🙋🏼♂️🙂👍🏻

Thanks Ed, that is interesting and a little challenging. Some extra stuff to undo for sure. Thanks for watching.
I think technically the engine on the BX is backwards. I have the BX 2680 and it socks air from my feet and the muffler is up front.
Ya I think it is as well.

It's been crazy warm for the season here too. And lots of rain. It feels like we are in the spring mud season already. Nice job on the service!
Exactly! I have the same feeling! But know winter is coming. But I am glad we melted all this snow first before it would all thaw in the spring.
@@RossOnTheLand very true. It was a good test run for me to see how the barn grading will do this spring. So far we have been bone dry inside!

That purge valve on the air cleaner is for any water that gets in there.
