"...written by eyewitnesses during the lifetimes of other eyewitnesses" what does this even mean? It is such an odd sentence, and is totally self contradictory. From what little we know about the writing of the bible, no, it wasn't written by eyewitnesses (and neither of "other eyewitnesses", whatever that means). The gospels were written by anonymous writers who were assigned the names of disciples at a later date. They were all written decades after the supposed events took place. No historian considers the bible to be historically reliable. From what we know about the history of humanity and even the history of the world, genesis is an entirely made-up, mythological narrative with 0% truth to it.

The "credibility" of the Bible is where you lost me. The credibility of that book has been lost to time, unfortunately. There have been books that were removed by the church because they don't like it anymore (Enoch, David, Gnostic beliefs).
I doubt the Bible like I doubt the Illiad and the Odyssey. There may be some truth to the stories, but they are definitely hyberbolized.
Edit: like if it were about credibility, every other abrahamic religion is written in the same way the books of the Christian Bible are.
Edit 2: with the Jews believing in jesus; what about the third of all angels that turned on God and went with Satan? Should we believe they are also right in their abandonment of God?

Through a process of gradual cognitive evolution and cultural competition, religion emerged in human societies. Humans' tendency to attribute agency due to HADD and dream experiences created the first supernatural agent ideas

Is it possible to make yourself believe something?
Yes, it is possible to come to believe something that is not actually true due to repeatedly thinking about or dwelling on that idea. This phenomenon is known as the ``illusion of truth effect'' or the ``truth effect.''

I am sure it is possible, yes. The illusion of truth effect, as you mentioned, seems to be very prominent and observable throughout social media platforms.
It also seems to be prominent in atheist’s beliefs that the universe and all of it’s fine tunings are completely cosmic accidents. Believing that our world and life came from nothing, that life came from non-life, seems to be an illusion of truth. Believing that one has enough knowledge to completely discredit the existence of a god, seems to be an illusion of truth (mixed with pride), that one has to subscribe to.

Is the Bible Historically Accurate? While some events in the Bible can be verified, historians do not consider the Bible as a historical reference text. Instead, they look for primary documents and archaeological evidence as better sources of historical events than the Bible.

I would question the motives of the status quo for our modern account of history. Assume everything you were taught is a lie, literally everything, and look for evidence that isnt commonly spoken about pertaining to our modern account of history. Test all things and make a decision for yourself. Just remember victors write our history. Theres a common thread that ties an alternate history and current motive of our rulers and i wont spoil it for you, i certainly cant make you look for objective truth, but if you believe there is an objective truth (or account) of our world thats the first step before you start looking for it. I have my personal beliefs and convictions of things, i do not wish to impart or tell you anything as I'm just an insignificant youtube comment, but i encourage you to think outside the box in all things. I promise theres a common thread for what its worth.
Just be patient is all i can say, it took me 4 years to unravel propaganda from observable and "corroborated" data set we are taught. I do not claim to be a better thinker, a more intelligent mind, or someone who has it all figured out, but i can certainly think clearer than i used to once i actual put into practice testing literally everything.

@@somesauce Good advice. What lead you to start testing/questioning all the status quo?

@@brushfire Started with the funkiness of 2020, realized I knew nothing as threads of deceit seemed everywhere, including in the religion of my parents. I set out to poke holes in the major narratives, found too many to handle at once. I noticed a trend of people kept bringing Jesus into the mix (those for and also those against him) which I thought was oddly specific and at the time apparently unrelated to conspiracy theories. Decided to see why he was so controversial...figured I should look into the origins of the Bible and Christian beliefs against the backdrop of Judaism and ancient Israelite faith. Started by trying to poke holes in Bible, but in retrospect it's clear because I was searching with honest intentions, the Bible rebuffed itself after careful study and looking at all sides of claims about it and into the source texts. At some point I came to the conclusion that either this Jesus figure was crazy, or he actually is who he says he is (Son of Yahweh, co equal with the Father, God incarnate). After some more searching I was compelled by the evidence and in reading the Gospels I ultimately decided Jesus is the truth, the way, and the life and I put my faith in His work on the cross, the final sacrifice for the redemption of us to the father, and it's only by faith that we have favor with the father since that is the substance that he's always looked for from man, the old testament paints a picture of Israelites having faith and God counting them righteous. Modern Judaism perverts this with their traditions and laws and makes it performance based, and their Masoretic Text is their accomplice to dull the world to old testament messianic prophecies as they are much clearer and more numerous in Septuagint, dead sea scrolls, Samaritan's Pentateuch. (It seems there was antichrist meddling of the text that the 10th century Masoretic Jews baked into the MT)
