I understand the Bible can be confusing considering it is a collection of 66 historical documents written by 40 authors across different languages and cultures. These verses, along with any other verses, can be misunderstood and used in a misleading way if you do not study the context, culture and meaning around the verses. If you’d like to know why these verse actually are beautiful, then this article can explain it better than I could. Seek truth. www.bibledingers.com/post/wvw-does-the-bible-support-slavery-leviticus-25-44-46
@@brushfire Dont dodge the verse, they are not confusing, they explictly promote slavery, in the context or without context these so called rules are eternal no? Also beautiful? what? it says 'you may buy slaves' is this morally justified and acceptable just because this ancient book says it is? oh sorry God? theres even more in the Bible in which your some sort of truth seems impossible to be achieved. Truth is that which condords with reality - that which can be observed, reproduced and tested unlike your previous 'spiritual experience'. Science does not search for truth is creates models which again is consistent with what we see, for me the Bible is not consistent in any means. This is the issue. You come here with your supposed truth of God and yet if this fact is meant to be the most important fact in the universe why hasnt he dont more to show MORE people to be true? I want an answer, Jesus the Zealot is not, during his time there were many preachers and the only way he was distinguished from the crowd was due to his supposed miracles in order to gather people for revolution against the Roman Empire, this for me is sensible to believe in. Seek truth is nonsense, mathematical and analytic truths are real not your anthromorphic supernatual being.
