Ah I love hearing about other's uni experiences! Good to hear you seem to be having a great time so far Imogen :) xx
Ahh thanks Megan! I love watching your videos and seeing how geography differs at Nottingham! xx
Your hair looks lovely in this video! You’re getting so much more confident on camera since I first watched you, good luck with uni 💗
This comment honestly means so much! I actually noticed how comfortable I seem in myself when I was editing this back so I'm really glad that came across on camera!
Really helpful video as always Imogen! Thanks for answering my question :) xx
No problem Lily! Sorry I couldn't be more helpful ahaha! Glad you enjoyed xx
LOVE UR CONSISTENT CONTENT ❤️
Thank you so much, the fact you're noticing this really does make it worth it as it can be really hard to balance uni and creating content at times!!
hey, I've applied to lse for BSc international relations and I honestly love watching your videos, they're insanely helpful!!
Thank you so so much for your lovely message! I'm so glad you've found them useful and I've got my fingers crossed for your application - hopefully I'll see you on campus in September!!
Same!
If I get in, I might see you there 😬😅
Ahh I applied for the exact same course!! Are you applying for this academic year??
@@xkaecoverx yeah!!
@@rishikajain8861 good luck with your application! I hope you get in! (If you haven't already found out of course!)
Very informative video :)
Thank you Katie 🥰
amazing video, thank you :)
No problem Charlotte! Glad you enjoyed :))
I have a few friends who were General Course students in case some of you have questions :)
Great video as always Imogen! xx
Thank you so much Amelie! I'm a little bit unaware when it comes to the general course ahaha! Also if any other prospective LSE students are scrolling through these comments do go and check out Amelie's channel, it's fantastic! Glad you enjoyed xx
@@ImogenWhite Thank you so much! xx
Hey, is the general course only for american students?
A collab with GC students would be so helpful xx
@@tanishkapradhan2297 Hey! It is basically the name given to the exchange between LSE and foreign universities so it's not only for American students :) My GC friends did it last year or two years ago so they are not in London anymore, but if you have some questions, I could ask them and share their responses in the uni Q&A I had planned on doing :)
@ Thankyou for sharing, i just had a few questions regarding the personal statement for applying to the GC and their overall experience on the course
Have you heard from other Geo BA UoL students if the workload is relatively similar? I've heard LSE is one of the most demanding which scares me away from choosing it
I believe the workload at UCL is slightly less intense but I only have one friend on the UCL Geog course so obviously that depends on how she specifically finds it! I don't know about Kings or the other London unis. Certainly LSE does have an intense course and one thing I would say is make sure that's actually what you want. It's not so much whether you'll be able to manage the workload, if you get an offer at LSE then you will be bright enough to manage the work, but make sure it's what you want. It's not going to be a walk in the park and it will be full on during term, but there are certainly benefits to going to LSE! It's a fantastic university and for all of it's intense workload it does have really small classes, a reasonably small student population and obviously a good reputation!
Hello. This video has been a very useful video for those who want to get information about the Lse. I would appreciate it if you made such a video about life and culture in London. I am very curious.See you.
Hi Hyde! Hopefully at some point this uni year I'll be back in London and able to film this content for you!!
@@ImogenWhite Thank you.
would i be able to get into lse for econ with only 7s and 8s at gcse but good a levels and a good personal statement?
What are your A level predicted grades and depends on ur personal statement
You meet all the GCSE requirements so as long as you have the right A Level grades and write a really good personal statement you should stand a good chance!
Do you find the society in general quite competitive and pressuring? i would guess that surrounded by such high achievers there is that high risk
I don't really find the university pressuring itself, but the pressure tends to come from me putting it on myself to do everything I'm meant to be doing. Likewise, I don't really find the environment competitive but that's because everyone I've met has been super friendly and supportive. I talk more in Part 2 about imposter syndrome but that's something I struggle with in class sometimes, just feeling like I'm the only one who doesn't understand.
I had some physical geography in my personal statement and applied for geography, do you think this puts me at a disadvantage?
No this doesn't, LSE are well aware that you have 5 UCAS choices and they're one of the only places that does just human geography!
Imogen White thanks for the reply, I’m still waiting to hear!
@@alexc9476 best of luck!
Do you have an idea of when does KCL/UCL give out offers? I applied in December and haven't heard anything yet.
I applied to both universities in early November and got offers from both about 3 weeks later. I guess it depends on when you apply!
Good luck though 🤞
I think last year I got my offers in January, but I already had my grades because of my gap year and there was no UCAS deadline extension last year (pre Covid). So I wouldn't worry just yet, it's most likely that they just haven't considered your application as otherwise they would have either accepted/ rejected you!
@@ImogenWhite yeah i have my grades already and everything in place. I took it as a good sign because they sent me an email teling me that they’re sorry for delay and they’re considering my application
Hey i have applied for BSc finance at LSE
Exciting! Hopefully I'll see you round campus in September Yaman!
Hey
Please tell me if it’s worth coming to lse during this on going pandemic situation!!!!!!??? I have an offer from lse and I really want to know, because I am very confused
Hi Mira, Things aren't great in the UK at the moment (we're in our third lockdown) but I'm hoping and the general message seems to be that things will be a lot more normal by September. I certainly wouldn't delay if I had an offer for September!!
@@ImogenWhite thank you so much
@@modernmira6577 no problem!!
Which degree???
Am I watching this video even though I live on the other side of the world and have no intention of attending LSE? Of course :)
Ahahah thanks so much 🥰 Really appreciate all your support nonetheless!!
