- It's a slightly longer video today but it marks the return of the LSE students series! Today I'm joined by three first year students (freshers) to talk about the assumptions people have for university. We're chatting about their experiences of lectures, the uni social life and living in London for the first time and whether they lived up to expectations. Hopefully this video proves useful for anyone wanting to study at a London university next year, but specifically at the London School of Economics. I also just want to say a massive thank you to Gladys, Gaurev and Samuel for agreeing to be a part of this video (at very short notice!) and chatting to me about their uni journeys so far.

There are lots of youtube channels about UK universities. u know....It's just the beginning. Thanks for the help of LSE, UOL, WDTK administrators and ICO to promote that the freedom of speech of UK is just a lie. We have recorded it by some software.

Great video and really informative! (esp to me, who's waiting nervously for the result now) I applied for PPE and you know it would take 4 years. So do you (or Gladys) happen to know if that extra year is really worth it? really grateful if you could help :)

Hi Jince, I actually asked another PPE student this question at dinner the other night so I could get an answer for you! She said, in comparison to other PPE courses at top universities, the extra year helps you to stand out but if you're considering it in relation to other courses at LSE (Politics and Economics) for example, the courses are all pretty similar and the extra year doesn't really add much as you already have the name and the disciplines. Obviously that's just her opinion but hope that helps!

Hi Manasseh, I can definitely do more videos with fellow LSE students, it breaks it up from always hearing my experiences! LSE 2023/ LSE 2024 are instagram pages that are started by offer holders (normally one who has had a gap year so they know they're coming!) where offer holders can send in a bio about themselves so you can connect with other students before moving to LSE/ London!

Hey, hope you are doing well. How long does to take to hear back from LSE(Conditional Offer) considering the fact that I will apply this October? I am an Indian student so I will get my final results in May.
You will probably hear between March and May 2024. LSE are very slow at giving out offers. Good luck!!
do all decisions take a while or only offers?
All decisions can take a while! Often offers and rejections come out together!

You could definitely be accepted at LSE! LSE actively encourage international applicants. As long as your grades are good and your personal statement shows a deep and academic interest in your chosen subject, you stand a chance at a place.

LSE is not a good university. You can watch the videos which I provided to know how corrupt LSE is.
Taiwan President Tsai claimed she awarded 1.5 PhD from LSE without any thesis provided to its library in 1984, till today LSE and London university has not clarified why they has no Tsai’s thesis?
Later, the London university said they have never received any her thesis from her viva examiners, I really intended why London university hiding her viva exam name to the public? how do we trust London university in the future?! Will you agree if your school hiding your thesis and viva exam?
