    Great video Aaron, as a beginner I've just fragged my first coral thanks to this. Also, I spotted Corals Direct as your sponsor - big shout out to Ahmed!

    Awesome video, I love your method of using the toothpick. Once the frag has attached to the plug and the rubber band is removed, do you remove the toothpick as well?

    Great vid there. Can you frag or even trim back a Goni's at all? I have one that's too big for my tank.

    This is completely unrelated to aquariums but when your rocking the glasses and gloves in this video, you look just like Fahz from gears 5! Lol.
    Anyways awesome channel and video. I subbed to your channel a few months ago after watching your super simple reef playlist to set up my first saltwater tank. Love the content and you helped me out a lot!

      +PsychedelicBabe Yeah you can frag them in the same way as I've done in this video or you can mount them on the rock.

    So I’m curious to know if I’m able to frag a coral thats only 10 inches in size? Or should I wait until it’s bigger? The coral is a green sinularia.

    Good video! I want to frag my devils hand leather coral but its mounted to my live rock and I don't want to remove the rock so would it be safe to nip the leather coral will its still in the tank?

      +DWSDARIUS FISH TANKS Yep that's OK. It will give off like a residue but it's nothing to worry about. Just make sure your cuts are clean.

    Why did the water go black? Is that just dirty water from soil or is it a defense mechanism from the coral being propagated?

    • @AaronsAquarium
      @AaronsAquarium  7 років тому +1

      +Aquatic Plant Savage It's what came out of the coral. Not sure what it is, so all the more reason to wear protection.

    Can you use the special superglue to mount it on the frag plug

    • @stevenpenman1744
      @stevenpenman1744 4 роки тому

      dont need special superglue - google it, along as the glue only contains the one ingredient ( cant remember what it is ) then its safe in reef/aquariums

    • @stevenpenman1744
      @stevenpenman1744 4 роки тому

      cyanoacrylate ---- any superglue with that only

    • @MrNickCage
      @MrNickCage 2 роки тому

      Typically you can use superglue gel, but leathers and soft corals are notorious for getting slimy, during fragging, and they are impossible to glue. Thats why this trick is key! No glue needed, and a solid bond

    Is it just the same for doing likes of zoas?

    • @AaronsAquarium

    You can also superglue the base of the soft coral to the plug or piece of rock. I was nervous of doing this to soft corals at first, but actually it's not a problem at all. Even though they are slimy, they fix perfectly with no bands or sticks and grow vigorously.
