Wonderful new lot. The FS E.424 has always intrigued me. They are a bit of an odd thing from an appearance point of view looking very industrious one could say, but the Italian locos often did have a style of somewhat outlandishness in a particular distinctive way. Thank you for showing your new delivery on a rainy Sunday here.

Nice new addition. I heard you saying that you have 0 interest in the schicht coaches😱😱. I find this hard to believe. You may not realise, but these Schicht coaches are part of the recent history. They were produced in the DDR (formar eastern Germany) in the box, in good condition, they are actually collectable. These fit your 80s theme perfectly. In the 80s that was the only possibility to have an Y-coach on your layout. So I hope that you can appreciate them a bit more now 😂
Hi, I am aware of what Schicht coaches are, I spent the 1980s up in a place called West Berlin which was surrounded by the DDR ;) I have 0 interest in them, not in a sense of appreciation, but because my theme is the Märklin 1980's production, not just the 1980s. Thanks for spending some of your Sunday on the channel!
Nice pun! Nice video! I was really delighted to see the lovely Italian consist. I always thought those lovely old Italian electric locos looked so assertive and legionnaire (Roman soldier!) like in their uncompromising brown. Be careful before adding too many other countries' trains; there are an awful of them. I enjoy and appreciate your work, cheers.

for poor people it was expensive to get fast on train to Sylt, so i normaly took the ferry from Danmark...

for my train i needed four axle Platform Cars, did not find them from märklin ( i have a video with BR 218 but just one BR 218 there where only an expensive new one, in real they use two )
so i took now some from Fleischmann

Great video, and nice selection of rolling stock! on my side i try to avoid running tin and plastic carriages in the same consistn but i am not the pope! the Schicht CSD coaches are actually quite nice. With a ddr era e lok or steamer currently made by marklin

Thank you for this time jump into my teenager years (60s). In Paris, at the Galeries Lafayettes we used to have, during the pre-Christmax season, Märklin demo layouts with bridges, catenary, smoke and all these lights from signals, switches. Yes, in analogue, non-regulated mode, speed adjustments were tricky unless you used "boosted voltage" for uphill sections and reduced voltage for downhill ones. Now my layout is digital sound , C track so my old beauties are sleeping in their boxes (DL800, CCS800, G800,...). Yes, at the time train operation was noisy ("Racket" as you say, compensating for the lack of sound). I see you have the Seuthe 105 and I have one too. Very nice but mine tends to distribute smocking oil both inside and some outside.
Glad you enjoyed🙏 The 105 is a bit of a gimmick, mine splashes too, which is normal given how it is made. Nice concept, but it could have benefited from a bit of over-engineering imho. Bon Dimanche!

Very nice as always. I notice what look like interlocking cushioned tiles under the tracks. I imagine this helps both with sound and keeping tracks in place. I am still catching up with your earlier videos, so forgive me if I missed a discussion of it. Great idea!
They are 10mm thick EVA floor tiles you can find everywhere.They help levelling things and indeed dampen the sound. There no harm in asking, I can't expect people to have watched all my videos. Thanks for your time today.
I hope you can get one of the elusive Märklin 4063 first class Italian passenger coach in grey, sold between 72 an 76, which match those brown ones.

Do you have the number of the single Primex Orient Express railcar? It looks like the Pullman salon car that's part of the train pack.
I just scrolled through Primes catalogues that I found n the Internet. Btw quite interesting because there were also some buildings and general info about building a layout.
1988 contains 2701 Orient Express with a steam engine similar to a P8 and three cars (salon brown/beige, sleeping blue and dining blue/beige)
1989 has 4191 oldtimer sleeping car with wood optics and 4196 red Mitropa dining car that - according to its description - also fits
1990 also has these two cars and 4546 two axles wine tank car (yes, I'm serious)
1991 has 4186 blue luggage car
If I had the number, I would know what it is 😀I think it is the pullman coach from 2701 in a random box, nothing else looks like it so that's the best guess.
