@@steppinrzr8396 Yeah tastes are subjective… but you can’t deny that the chopped and samples are really good man, especially back in the day with the technology… nothing like now so I appreciate it even more !
Right? Like, now that I know it’s there, I can hear it plain as day every single time, but before I knew the extra chop was there, I never heard anything.
I can't imagine the amount of time they lost doing this, on analogue, repeating it all over and over and over, testing the samples in an order they could work with a beat that felt right and in the end it all felt like an original piece of work, nothing sounds like it was cut and put together. This pure quality analitical music skills.
I love these so much because it totally changes how you listen to and appreciate the music. I literally cannot unhear these new samples when I listen now.
i'm glad it's actually a new discovery and not just "being" (yeah some people weren't aware of that one, even though it's been known for quite a decade, so it wasn't unfair to assume that that's what it was gonna be) anyway, i'll include "lo-o-ove" next time i remake the song for fun)

@@bmxrider925 can you use someone else's sound and make it as original and unique as daft punk? this sounds nothing like the original song, daft punk used different sound chops to make a totally new song from it. besides they paid royalties (money for taking the sound) to the original creators of the song and they were fine with it, so i dont see anything wrong with it.

The fact they managed to chop sample this whilst keeping the drum beat in it right is amazing!

Don't forget how they manipulated their pitch separately to make it sound like a cohesive progression

this is what its all about enjoy a song finding something familiar then blowing your mind with how the artist made it work
Daft Punk were sampling gods and still are to this day, absolutely mint.
Their sampling is pretty basic bro...they did some good work but far from top tier

phase inversion at the end, also google ai search thing that these people are using
its probably done by taking that audio profile and having a computer or even ai look through millions of songs to match the audio exactly.

Why do samples have to be found? Did Daft Punk never write down the names of music they got samples from, or are they not allowed to tell us?
I think it’s just part of the mystery. They probably have a list somewhere but it takes the fun out of it if they just told us what they were
I heard they have to disclose the samples used for their publisher and get the samples cleared. There should be a list somewhere on all the samples...
