Excellent! When I was in the military, we had these mittens (really overmittens) on a cord that snapped together behind your back. These were excellent in they were there when you stopped to do something (usually waiting on someone else to catch up) and stashed behind you when you don't need them. When ever I use mittens today, I always use the draw cord around the wrist/forearm. I've lost a glove climbing and had to finish the route in a glove liner. Not fun.

Coworker had a string joining his mittens together. He didn't believe me when I said it was too short.
I asked him to raise his arm high above the head. He did and the other arm followed. Basically he turned himself into a Muppet, moving limbs with strings.
Haven't seen him for a few years, I do not miss him. Contemplated having him carry a plant to replace the oxygen he was wasting.

Hestra sell the elastic leashes. I think they call them "Handcuffs" and they're relatively cheap and come in different sizes. I've had them on all the family’s ski gloves for years. Good for kids (and adults) on ski lifts 🤔👍😉

4:42 Ravenox "Cyberian" Cord Locks are the kind that you pull one leash to tighten, the other to loosen (like Alti's).
Agreed that they are much better than the usual squeezy things especially while wearing gloves/mittens.
I cannot post the link here, but world's biggest book store carries them (or direct from Ravenox).

I don't buy ski gloves that don't have a leash. I've never dropped a glove off a chair, and I don't wanna start

I have used the leash around the neck approach with great success. The upside is the mittens don't get in the way when you need to go #1. The downside is the potential strangulation which I hadn't considered until I watched your video - Thanks!
I will modify my rig with a lanyard with one of those pull out clips.

I use the ones on my OR Mt Baker Mitts with that grey disc too. I feel like a velcro or bungee cuff like Hestras would be more secure, but I've had no issues with the Id10t setup yet.

As a child, I started out with the cord around the neck, down the inside of each sleeve, which was used when walking to & from school.
For hiking I came to adopt the around the wrist for glove attachment.
