Sold my 07 W/r450F and got a 2019 with only one hour on it and GYTR/CCU/Yosh. That app makes a huge difference in performance. Great for learning and for slippery conditions, practicing slow riding skills etc. VS Balls out motocross mode! Never pulling my frame apart again to get the carb out!
Have an 11 wr and just pulled the frame apart to get the carb out lol. Painful
Great video thankyou, I raced against Ben years ago as a kid got absolutely hosed.
Legend of the sport. A compete natural and great to listen to.
So I'm 6'3 and I actually like to roll my handlebars back a little more than you would expect for a guy my size. I find it helps the bike turn better with less effort. I'll usually set them so they are lined up with the forks, then roll them back from there just a touch. I also don't use a tall bend because I catch myself getting lazy and standing up too straight. So the lower / stockish bends help force me to keep my chest down and maintain a better attack position. Everybody is different but this seems to work best for me.
Music always kills a really good video like this one. Lower the music or get rid of it all together
Thanks for the tips. Please use less music next time.
Thanks for the information
Thanks Grabbo and ADB. Some excellent tips there mate. Had no idea Sunny Corner was your home turf? I've been riding up there heaps lately. It's a dirt bike Paradise.
Great tips! Much appreciated. Without the background music it would have been even better. Just saying.
I have the 2022 WR450 and I'm 90kg and only using half of the fork stroke. It is definitely not adequate for trail riding as stock when I have bruised palms and sore shoulders for days.
good vid! have the same bike so this helped a lot w dialing in a few things cheers
Good tips, thanks mate.
Verry nice bike lovely
spot on the money B.G
Thanks this video helped
Ive been setting up my yz450fs for enduro riding since the yz426fs come out all though there were a few models back then to now that didn't matter what I done they were horrible in the bush but I just like the yz's way better than the wr's in the bush ... the wr's feel like Ag bikes to me after riding yz's enduro...
My buddy has a 2020 wr and it doesn't have the power that my card has, but off road in the desert I love how well his handles. It inspires confidence because it always feels planted, and predictable. My crf always feels like I'm on the edge of washing out, or blowing through the turn.
Amazing video
Thanks for no annoying music.
Good video mate
Would like to down load you maps if you could make them available would be awesome.
Well explained video. Thanks. Can you advise on a map setup for the slower more technical stuff. I have a 2020 wr450f I’ve tried different maps but yet to find one that’s a little more sympathetic. The bike seems to be all or nothing throttle wise. I would appreciate any advice
change the gearing?
Nothing is something get used to having less = more
Try using the bush map it's actually really well in corners and logs and such
The throttle rammer really helped me out a lot
Can you register a yz450 f
Hello. Have you installed an expansion tank for the coolant? for some reason he is not there
Is there such a thing as ‘mellow’ for that thing?
What's the deal with mirrors here in Victoria pretty sure I read you have to have 1 mirror but I have never seen anyone with one ever. Also I see people with there number plates in obscure places like on top of the rear mud guard and even wrapped around the front fork is that legal or will you cop a fine if your pulled up with the bike like that or do the cops not care? It would be a real shit if you gotta fine when you have everything but it's not placed in the right place through mirrors are just stupid in the bush I remove them
cheerz
I don't understand your tyre presure.
Is it higher pressure less chance of puncher?is that what i heard him say? I always thought lower psi better for grip and less punctures?
If you're running tubes, lower pressures can give you pinch flats.
Yep its pinch flats you have to worry about. Not necessarily punctures. If you run heavy duty tubes it can help make that less likely. But running less pressure in tubed tires can feel wallowy.
Thanks for the reply. I only just changed to tubliss last night. I'll see how I go with punchures now.
@@mathewurmston9734 Awesome. I have been running tubliss for years. I honestly think it's my secret weapon. Unlike bib moose I can change the pressure on the fly. I run between 7 and 0 psi front and rear. My favorite rear tire is a maxxis desert IT and 6psi with tubliss. Perfect traction and it lasts at least twice as long as my dunlop at81 with heavy duty tubes. Feels ten times better too.
GOOD joB BUD
RIP old rodeo.... Im sure you served your owner well.
I just go for the cheapest rubber i can so kenda trackmasters then lol
trakmasters in the rear are no joke, they are awesome!
That tire on average is only 10 or 15 bucks cheaper
@@Jake_Hynds yeah i feel it’s worth the extra price for the performance.
One of my favorite tires, especially with tubliss. Great bang for your buck.
I had to look up kilo to pounds and I feel like a damn jockey I'm 5'7 and like 63 kilos 😂
