I tried the demo. it was visually appealing, but damn the story and text blah blah blah. I just wanted to actually play a game not read a novel . Look at their other game, This War of Mine... virtually zero dialogue/story, yet drags you SO deep into the feelings and immerses you by the lack of text
I get that, but I am the other way around with this game. You just created your alternate self, I want to learn the whole story, hear more conversations between them, see their similarities and differences. This is a perfect game for that I feel like. And in This War of Mine, you can also just play the game as it is, but if you slow down and read, listen to stories others are telling (even if short), it is a completely different game. I think Alters without the lore dumping like that would feel empty, boring imho (gameplay looks fun, but story will be the main focus of the gameplay for sure)
