The Alters Gameplay - Very Odd but Cool Game (Fallout Shelter Vibes)

The Alters is an upcoming survival video game developed and published by 11 Bit Studios, scheduled for release in 2024 on PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S. In The Alters gameplay, players assume the role of Jan Dolski, a space miner who must create alternate versions of himself, known as "Alters," to survive on an inhospitable planet.
In The Alters demo, players will experience the challenge of piloting a massive, wheel-shaped base across the planet's surface to avoid lethal radiation from the sun. The game involves exploring the planet, mining for resources, and expanding the base by attaching new rooms and modules, similar to games like Fallout Shelter and XCOM. Each in-game minute corresponds to one second of real-world time, adding a sense of urgency to the survival efforts.
Jan can use a special crystal called Rapidium to create Alters, each with unique skills and personalities based on different life choices. These Alters can assist with various tasks, such as research and navigation, but they also have their own needs and fears that require attention. Managing the Alters strategically is crucial, as there is a maximum number of Alters that can be created in one playthrough.
The Alters promises a blend of survival, strategy, and character management, offering a unique and immersive experience as players navigate the perils of an alien environment.
