I didn't think I'd want more Shirley this much. I'm thoroughly enjoying this wee series.
Your regular series have you gliding from piece to piece delicately painting out fabulous area after fabulous area, whereas here you slap down an entire wet slab of clay onto a pottery wheel and craft it into a beautiful ornate vase. There's even a higher degree of fire involved.
I really hope this makes sense, I'm on some wicked painkillers right now for my wisdom teeth.
Side note - the way all these new stations and buildings can fit perfectly into the road layouts is just 😘👌 perfect.

I think network extension 2 mod isn’t working atm. I used this map before the update

@@2163mechows and Harrison Griffiths, both Harson and Higgins would fit that small town on by the sea where one of the metro lines terminate (not Gabe, as you might understand).
Out of all the content creators' cities I've seen, yours I like the most, I really like the vibe this city has and I think it's sort of similar to the vibe I want my cities to have, that coastal, warm, fun vibe
I really can't get enough of this series. I don't have the patience to create my own city in this game, no matter how many times I give it a shot. But it's so satisfying to see you build this city. Please keep it going for as long as you can!

Call one of the other urban areas the city of Joe, I love the Shirley series and build the airport. I love the fact that the city is so compact and still houses a decent amount of people. It gives me Hong Kong/South Korea/Taiwan vibes, keep it going!

HaydenCMH i like how it is more vanilla as well but still great looking.
in general you could consider making your car parks smaller in key locations (by high trafic buildings) by giving them basics like a bus stop (or if it works out nicely a tram/metro stop) and even having a bike network that goes through it.
you wont see as many cars about as people are able to take transit or otherwise walk and cycle places in your city.
Shirley’s second name was Holmes so you could call a town Holmeswood.
Cameron is a cool name for a town that is also a human name.

it'd probably make more sense for the red and yellow lines to be one line going through the central station than both ending there! stopping at (presumably) your busiest station and having to offload everyone, even if they're continuing past, and turning around limits capacity, and outside of a few places like Sydney, Melbourne or Chicago (all of which have intensely radial networks that have infrastructure to facilitate more efficient turnarounds and passenger drop-offs than simply stopping and reversing out), isn't very common :)
also, I say keep up the name trend and just name places after cims that live in them (or just random first names!)

I think another good name for one of the town or industrial areas would be Brycington. 😂 I just randomly came up with that one😉

2:35 I think you got that backwards, underground stations should be in the heart of the city, and above ground in suburban and smaller towns, regions, and districts. Check out the Skytrain line in Vancouver BC for best examples.
I agree too I just prefer the visual of the elevated metro line in the downtown. Plus the elevated station was already there with the central station

You should name the other town Knot. That way it can be called the Shirley-Knot line. As in “surely not”. 😂
I'm thinking one of your settlements on the island could be called *Wollaston* or if it's next to a beach, *Wollaston Beach.*
I also would like to see a cross island métro line tie into The Glass Box railway terminal métro platforms.

As you are all aware there is a traffic light bug in the current 1.15.0 patch as well as bugs with highway gantries appearing on too many locations.

You can have faster routing for airport connecting and more rural ends like the Sbahn
Those new metro stations are a life saver,managed to connect my 2 lines into 1 station at the downtown,and im getting like 1500 people using it,its very useful
I was using the 4 platform sunken one but I found that when the lines got busy, I ended up with a major train traffic jam as the lines crossed over each other within it, the new 4 platform one is ideal for when sims need to transfer from a local line to a cross city line

Having a full-house football match in what seems to be a 15k-capacity stadium in a city which has a population of 57k-ish. More than a quarter of the residents are attending the match 😆

Maybe you could name one of the towns Strathnaver after one of P&Os most iconic ships which famously transported tens of thousands of immigrants to Australia. Perhaps a number of Immigrants arrived on the island in the 50s, formed a new community, and named it for the ship most of them arrived on after leaving war-ravaged post-WWII Britain.
Name a town “Brentford” it sounds fitting

Making runway piers and taking inspiration from Marseille Provence Airport would also be amazing

Should definitely think about making a serperate metro tunnel run all the way to the parallel platform station. When you start running more trains that short two track section will cause a real headache.

I love your perspective on what isnt safe regarding streets under that metro station because we have similar stations here with two lane streets in both directions and in the middle a tram spot. The amount of times I have been close to being run over haha but its so common here I dont see it as something dangerous?

My Metro line is suffering from overcrowding. I am therefore planning to add a ferry line which will take people along the same route as the metro line.

What is with the lack of stations that have more than one form of transit in this game?
In the real world almost every train station in a major city has a metro and bus station contacted to it.
Most metro stations have bus stations attached to them aswell why not do that in cities skylines allowing all stations to function as bus stops if desired.
Are the metro stations part of the plazas DLC?
