Hi Jay, my name's jeff, now this is completely off topic of this video but it appears to be your most recent and thought that I might try to contact you this way.. Anyhow I'm currently in the middle of restoring a 78 gt150. Now after watching most of your cvx18 restore I'm just wondering what exactly was the purpose in leaving a 1/4" gap between the deck plywood and the chines? Wouldn't it have been more rigid to have set it down on the chines? I'm asking you cause this my first time. Well I take that back actually my second gt150 I did the floor n stringers in that one too, but I didn't have youtube back then. Just curious as apparently, well obviously your much more experienced than myself. And I'm also trying, well doing, a much better and more thorough job this time as I went ahead and removed the cap and I'm also replacing the transom complete overhull job. Also like to say your videos are very well put together, and I'd like to thank your dad for all his help too. Couldn't do it without him. Thank you for your time. Oh if you reply, since I don't do Facebook and only have my phone for Internet, you can contact me directly via my email or Gmail; btfojeff@yahoo.com btfojeff@gmail.com Jeff
Nice truck, I just put the same brand lift on my 2004 duramax with 35" tires on 20x12.5r20 rims, I put the same purple keys on mine but my problems is my front end sits an inch low from the back, my back is 13" from tire to fender and the front is 12", my passenger side torsion bar is maxed out (I think) because the bolt won't turn any more, the driver side is fine and will crank up some more, any thoughts on what might be the problem. This 1" low in the front drives me crazy, can't take it anymore and it's only been a week
billy wall My Dad sold his boat after one season, but we still have our big boat. The carlson is back on the trailer and I am waiting for warmer weather to drop the engine back in and finish up.
Merry christmas to ya nice video seem your tires were bigger..my chistmas was a crazy dog ate somthing bad had to hVe surgrey.. hes ok now but bills out the ying yang pray for milo he came home today
By the way happy holidays good to hear you're still doing work on it I have a project of my own doing a lot of gelcoat work on it your videos have been a major help so I do appreciate it and looking forward to more videos of you 2 finishing the carlson and hopefully another boat
Can someone enlighten me on this topic? I'm undecided about getting a Ford diesel or a Chevy/GMC diesel. I'm not on sides with either one, I just want to know which is better? Thanks.
Darn I just accidentally deleted my detailed post. This is for SID. This is my quick saying, duramax is more reliable then the ford when it comes to repairs. 6.0 and 6.4 not the best reliable wise Stock. 05 and 06 for duramax. Are good.
