Tune from Russell Ferrante (Yellowjackets/shades) 1988 live in Baden Baden, Germany at ohne Filter. Tom Brechtlein (dr), Bob Malach (sax), Gary Willis (b), Tom McMorran (key).
Bob, that's a Fender Robben Ford model, with Robben's input on the design. Had coil split pickups. Discontinued long ago but the design was picked up by a custom maker, name escapes me.
dji zzah Well I've got one. I know someone who has a flame model from the same master series. They're awesome guitars. Very unpopular and unloved at the time but sought after now. Mine is the most playable guitar I own. They're offered all over the web if you know where to look. Will set you back some 2000 Dollars.
HEY BRUNO, WHAT DON'T YOU KNOW ABOUT "KEEPING TO A THEME IN CERTAIN SONG??? THE KEYBOARD PLAYER COULDN'T STRAY FROM THE ORIGINAL INTENDED INTRO, BECAUSE THE MELODY IS "STRICT" IN THIS TUNE! NOT A LOT OF ROOM FOR PERSONAL EMBELLISHMENT!!!!!
@@funklover24 Everybody has a bad day,, that's why they came up with the phrase, everybody has a bad day lol! Even Robben hits several shall I say,, the opposite of "sweet",,,,,,, sour notes here!
remind me about my passed away best man and the best person and guitar player in my life I ewer played with...RIP GORAN MILANOVIĆ SERBIA BELGRADE.....
35 years ago, young Robben playing with duende' - fire from his soul through his fingers and into our hearts!
Just too cool, I love this version of Robben. Not too many playing like this today.

I've been in the audience...
Old school guitar playing at it's best...who still plays Gibson Es...only the brave

Robben's got so many "Licks" up his sleeve, he makes a Magician want to disappear lol!

Written by Russell but features only a brief piano solo???!!!
Sorry, but the piano-playing is quite sloppy, take for instance the intro.

Robben even looks over at him @45 seconds, like "C'mon now, we're live"! :-)
yep, let down by a bad piano patch, too many slips, not enough syncopation, but finds his pocket eventually 🙂
Good, but not as good as Marc Russo playing this tune!
Cool Dumble amp!
