He's been my favorite sytycd contestant since his first ever audition when he couldn't join. Years later he still is. I can come back to his videos that I've seen a million times and still get chills. Amazing.
i dont know if he would have won. he would have came close that's for sure and winning was within his grasp he didnt have a bad night or a bad style. at the same time i think the person that won that season also had almost no bad style as well.
his injury is still one of the saddest moments on sytycd. At least he has recovered though (he was just in the greatest showman as a featured dancer in the circus)
He's on Broadway with Newsies! I've seen it three times - incredible dancing. Last time was with my niece and she immediately noticed he was one of the strongest dancers.
He was dancing like he was auditioning for a James Bond movie, The moves were so fast and swift! Once they saw how quick his feet was moving they should've handed him a ticket!!!
If Alex didn’t get injured in season 7 I would’ve loved to see him & Lauren Froderman dance together that would’ve been epic & they would’ve had a phenomenal routine
Yes, I agree, he is beyond SYTYCD. But, he wanted to try something new. He's quoted as saying he wanted to express himself in a different way-and I for one am so glad he did. He is absolutely breathtaking to watch. SYTYCD has brought quality dance to mainstream TV, and I hope it continues to do so. I grew up going to NYC to see the ballet, and I don't think only the lucky or priviliged should have to pay a small fortune or travel far to see good dancing. Peace :)
I really think so, too! He was phenomenal! His choice of music for these solos was brilliant, too. Incredible that he got knocked out early as a contestant by rupturing one Achilles tendon, then when he was ready to return as an All Star he ruptured the OTHER Achilles and had to heal for yet another year. Thank heavens he finally was able to return, and is still dancing! (I'm old enough to remember back when a ruptured Achilles couldn't be repaired well enough to allow a return to high-level dancing or sport, but thankfully the surgery has advanced very far.)

The show is only as good as the people who are in it. Same goes for the Prix de Lausanne. So if more people at a high level, such as Alex join the show, the "level of SYTYCD" as you say goes up as well.
