- Sandra Betzina is one of my favorite pattern designers. I have at least 26 of her patterns. So, I had to ask myself why I had only made 1 of her patterns in all of these years! It was time to belly up to the sewing machine and start interpreting some of Ms. Betzina's designs. This week I created a far eastern inspired pair of pants. I also created Sandra's V1690 futuristic vest pattern done in an Italian "vinyl" fabric. I was also able to finish two coordinating tunics by Indygo Junction.
Pastimes in Paradise follows my sewing makes videos as I acclimate to early retirement in Jamaica, West Indies. As a recently retired teacher /School Librarian there are a lot of projects I want to sew and make. I would absolutely love it if you were able to subscribe, and give me a thumbs up. You totally rescued the garbage bag vest with the lining
Once you said garbage bag that's what I saw! Still laughing. The ankara on the inside (outside!) is great. 😂❤

Love all your makes. I do agree that the lining side is beautiful. However, maybe if you add a statement belt on the black side, you just might be able to change the look.

Surprisingly, it is very light weight. The vest was fun to sew. You never know!
