Thank you. I broke my left hand in a few places and need to start exploring open tunings. Bar chords have become a chore for me which breaks my heart but ya I just dunno if I want to risk doing surgery since my finger healed in a maltotated position with hyper extension. At this point they’d have to go in there and resaw bone to realign it properly and I dunno if it’s worth it.
+Stefanos Pleros after playing guitar for awhile, you start to hear it and know it more. and some bands you just know are using it. ie; nirvana - heart-shaped box, smashing pumpkins - bodies, etc. most bands, like those guys, used it because they normally play in e flat standard for that little bit of extra heaviness from standard, but drop their low e (again) to add those 2 extra heavy notes for specific songs that need that extra little bit of heaviness, and the string inter-play and dynamics and such. i think its important to just be creative and just mix things up every once in awhile.
yeah, right? just tune all your strings down 1 fret, then the low e down another 2 frets. or just start on the low e & tune it at the 8th fret to that a-0, instead of the 5-0 harmonic. pretty basic. don't particularly need a tuner lol.
I don’t get it. A DROP tuning is like a drop D. Where everything is in standard E except the low E which is DROPPED to a D. Wouldn’t it just be called C# standard?
right im using this for Paramore Crush. but online it allso say Drop C# is like this C# F# B E G# C# ?? what tuning is this?? im lost with it. how can these both be Drop C# iv copied this video and it sounds ok up to now with the song but what is that other tuning?
Somebody who doesn't know what a tuning peg is probably won't tune his guitar to C# tho
or anything about guitar😆
lol i love how my tuning pegs just perfectly lined up after this
you just helped me learn my first song man.
Heart shaped box?

All the best to you, Dan

Linkin Park's tune reminds me that Brad Delson played and tuned his guitar!
who knows about it?
Rusli Pestolante me! I came here to tune my guitar for from the inside- linkin park
its hard to do it! im set the tune of C# to the 5th fret.
@@aideno9657 Check my cover From the inside pls?
lol he knows whats C# just by listening to it? xD
Stefanos Pleros You see how he's looking down? He's probably looking at a tuner.

Yeah it's like normal drop d tuning but already tuned down before.

Thanks for sharing this... Which string gauges are you using? Did you do something on the bridge and nut?
so when you want to tune something "sharp" you tune it down half a step? im so confused and no videos are helping xc
Drop C# is strings 1-5 tuned down a half step to E flat(Eb) from standard E tuning. The top E string is tuned down to C#......(C#-Ab-Db-Gb-Bb-Eb)...
just have a look at the claviature
Search for the chromatic scale on Wikipedia
Useful.
Thanks

Nope, the complete “technical name” would be Drop D + 1/2 step down, but people just call it Drop C# or Drop Db
For first note do you turn clockwise por anti clockwise
I'm trying to play just like u by three day grace and i can't seem to find the right tuning
when you tune the last e do you go up or down?
+Joshua “Arnoldo” Pardo since it's a DROP C#, you go DOWN
It's consistent
Instructions not clear, got my dick stuck in the fan
Would have been a better help if he just said "buy a tuner like the one I have next to my foot and use it like I'm using it"
