I love HKs and particularly USPs and this one is a beauty. Value is a relative thing. I think it’s cool that it’s rare and had to be imported, but from a practical standpoint I’d rather buy a standard USP and then get a match trigger kit. I bought one for my USP 45 and plan to install it this weekend. Always enjoy your reviews. You have great taste in guns. Looking forward to the next one!
Very nice USP Custom Sport! I recently purchased a used USP in .40. I'm currently having the slide refinished, springs replaced etc. I'm very happy with my HK .45 as well. Thank you for your videos.
if it's not a secret how much did you pay for your 40 and what year of p?I'm eyeing one myself and trying to compare values. eventhough they are made as tanks
Hk's always gets my attention. Great 🔫. Another 2 letters are CZ... Lots of great choices these days. Cool that you can get these rare ones. Thanks for sharing.
HK’s make cold hammer forged barrels from cannon-grade steel. Looks like the USP custom sport incorporates the adjustable match trigger and adjustable target sights. Yours may also have the Match barrel. I have the USP Expert with those features but with a very long slide. Love it.
Very nice pistol. Thanks for the review. I like the rotating display at the end! I just bought an HK 4 a week ago. It was imported into the US in 1971. The pistol is meant to accept barrels and magazines for 380, 32, 25, and 22 caliber cartridges. Mine came as a 380, but the experts say this round is too powerful for the pistol so I've been trying to locate a barrel and magazine for 32 caliber. No luck locating them in the US. I'm going to contact your friends at The Sportsman's Loft to see if they can help me out. I love the way the pistol shoots in 380, but I want it to last.
Looks nice, as someone mentioned in the comments, practicality wise it is setup more like a USP Tactical 9 with a standard barrel. As a collectors piece its a nice addition, but for the price I go with the USP Tactical 9.
I agree with you. This piece is more for a person that wants something unusual and not imported to the US by the manufacturer. It’s pretty nice to have a clean slide without import marks. Thank you very much for watching!
That’s a very difficult question to answer. It would depend on “favorite” for what? Range, carry, collecting, competition? It’s a hard question to blanket answer. Thank you very much for watching!
Interesting variant. The rear sight should be a regular LPA adjustable sight that work really well. Can you do a comparison between a regular hi power, the p-35 reissue and what they now try to sell as new iteration from FN?
I have one looks just like this, except it's in .45, threaded barrel with rubber 0-ring. German manual. They call it USP tactical. Never imported to the U.S by HK USA.
You do get some interesting pistols. And I really like black-on-black sights for target work. BTW, YT doesn't take kindly to anything resembling a link to, or anything more than a passing mention of, firearms sales or manufacturers in the description. So, I'm thinking the @Heckler & Koch, or the line devoted to the "Many thanks...", or even showing the business card in the video, may result in the video being "Not suitable for all advertisers". Just a thought.
For a PREMIUM brand pistol company, the cases are krap, small, crummy foam. HK needs to take a walk across the street to the Walther PDP plastic case werks and contract a new case design. I've purchased many rare pistols from this dealer, also known on gunbroker as " THEATTIC ". Good seller. Beautiful model 👍 I'm waiting for a USP 9 Expert, 5.2" O-ring barrel, jet funnel w/ 2 - 18rd magazines. Advertised SA trigger pull 3.8 lbs. .1600$. A better package than this 'Custom Sport' . Im afraid the USP 45 Elite with 6.02" barrel, 4.5 lb trigger, 2- 12 rd mags at 1150$ is calling my name. Selling off a few metal CZs, a Glock and a Walther to make room in the sock drawer🤣.
I see what you’re doing here with all the HK reviews. It’s a conspiracy to get me to buy my first HK! Ha! For me the USP series is more of a throwback cool factor to the 90’s and early 2000’s. Oddly enough, i almost bought a used USP Compact in .40 S&W yesterday. I sold my only .40 S&W years ago and kinda want another one for caliber diversity. But I don’t want another Glock 22/23 to just collect dust in the safe. An HK in .40 would give me a reason to shoot it just because it’s different.
LOL!! Another "cash-grab model" from HK....add adjustable rear sight, say it's not usually imported to the US...chaCHING$$$$$....give it a new name. It's still essentially like theother USP's. :) Nothing dramtically different setting it apart e.g. VP9/SFP9L Match drastically different (lightening cuts, "batman grip" (with switchable panels), OR (optics ready), ...etc. Still gets me that H&K STILL hasn't made the P30/USP lines OR....obviously RDS "is the craze".....whetehr or not you believe int he udefulness of RDS or not...as a company ....you'd think they would have done their due dilligence to make sure all guns are OR..... How about releasing a version of the USP Expert with a steel frame?? Hmmmm.....How hard could that be??? AIt's been done by so many other companies....SIG, then recenty S&W to their M&P 2.0 line adding a steel frame variant....Glock hasn't done it yet either actually ..heh...go figure....the thinking of the decision makers in both companies.... Why not offer a "package" deal e.g. VP9L Match with a Holosun RDS INCLUDED 11 :) Pre-installed/zero'd...hmmmm....add a brass mag well... simple l little things ....gun industry is kind of slow to innovate...even the pocket-knife industry is "moving faster" or is "ahead" e.g. so many "carbon fibre/titanium" pocket-knives available, many blade shames/geometries...etc. ..
The cases suck. I also had bunch of white weird discoloured spots on my brand new HK case. Used goobegone on it and made it worse. Oh well. Just the stock case, not really used once you get a safe anyway. Pretty surprised HK makes a cheap gun case for their highly praised pistols.

I also picked up one from the Sportsman's Loft over a year ago. I won it on GB for less than $1000.00 with shipping and transfer fees. Great video!!
Congratulations. That’s a great price. Thank you very much for stopping by.

@@samkun3297 paid $820 if I remember correctly and date of 2008.
@@samkun3297 Sam, I paid mid $600's for it. I maybe wrong, but I believe it made around 2011.
@@samkun3297 Also Sam, if you can believe it, I purchased that USP .40 off of Gun Broker.
TAI has these in 45 in a small quantity right now. Great review!! 😉

Nice. I have the USP 9mm Tactical with jet funnel setup. Found USP 40 slide and .40 mags to add to box. Love HK quality.
Very nice and congratulations. Thank you so much for stopping by.

@@MDpolo Thank you. I will.
You’re most welcome.
Nice firearm. HK has been on my radar lately. I know that saying Alabama Arsenal says, lol he has one similar for CZ.
Both are dangerous addictions. As always, thank you very much for watching. I appreciate it!
Thanks and Blessings!
You’re welcome and God bless you as well.
Very Nice. My favorite HK is my USP Expert 9 w/jet funnel. It's pretty phenomenal.
I got the Expert in 9 not long ago and have been debating on installing the jet funnel or not.

Ive had this USP Custom Sport since 2012 bought it from a
, europian company in the UAE gun show
Love the gun hate the front sight
Nice hk md!can’t go wrong
Thank you very much Roy. I appreciate you taking the time to watch as always.
As always you have some top of the line pistols for review! This one's too expensive for my tastes but very nice!
Thank you very much. I appreciate that!
USP is a beast!
It certainly is.
Does anyone know if it has the match springs like the USP Expert and USP Elite?
Yes it does.
Match trigger isn’t needed in my opinion however I do notice and appreciate it when I use one that has it. For sure.
I hear you and I like having it. Thank you very much for watching.
H&K make gorgeous guns especially the usp I want one so bad in 45
Just saw 2 USP 45 at the Indiana Gun Club. Give them a call! Thank you very much for watching.
HK rulz!! I like all sorts of brands but HK is my favorite.
Since you do reviews on the most beautiful guns i wonder wich is your favorite?
That’s a very difficult question to answer. It would depend on “favorite” for what? Range, carry, collecting, competition? It’s a hard question to blanket answer. Thank you very much for watching!

I do own an original Hi-Power but I do not have the S35 or the new FN.
Best IWB & OWB Holster manufacturer for my H&K USP40 Compact with Streamlight TLR-8AG? Having real difficulty here. Thanks 🙏🏻.
I have never tried holstering this pistol so I cannot be of help. Perhaps a viewer can help you. Thank you very much for stopping by.

@@MDpolo anxiously awaiting that one.
What are the main differences between this and the USP Expert?
Barrel length and no o-ring on this. Thank you very much for watching.

But HK is pricey.
Quality cost.
Yay. PROPRIETARY rail
