- Here are 30 things that really annoy people that live in and visit London. These things aside, I really do love living in London! I don't want this video to come across as a rant. It's just a fun video addressing some common things I hear people complaining about.

I agree with opinions about friendliness, or lack thereof. Friendliest people I met in England were in some Midlands villages. They were so damn nice, always willing to say hello and talk to complete strangers. You don't get that chance in London as everyone behaves like they're too busy for it, or they use the classic "bag on next seat" strategy to avoid it completely.

@@JJaqn05 America? No, I live in the UK but yes, America is on the list of countries I could move to seeing how many amazing people I've met there. Imagine thinking life in England is better than most countries LMAO, I guess you've never really travelled to other countries to even come up with such conclusion. Also, how old are you? You definitely must be a youngster, only someone so clueless could say something like that. The British economy is so overrated that if it was a US state, it'd be one of the poorest if you compare the UK's GDP per capita to that of US states. There are barely any sort of opportunities outside of London if you want to make a lot of money, you wanna make it big in terms of economic opportunities, London is where it's at.
Another thing is the crime which is pretty ridiculous and unlike something I've ever seen where people throw acid attacks at each other, engage in stabbings etc etc. London's crime rate has increased so much that it has surpassed the crime rates of cities like New York and Los Angeles. Who would've thought that we'd be safer in New York at night than London... right. People in the UK are so much more socially reserved, antisocial and cold, no wonder loneliness in this country is so common and that loneliness can lead to depression to a lot of people including myself.
There's barely any sort of sense of community here compared to the US, it's as if people literally are non-playable characters. Try and start a conversation with anyone they will look at you like you're a crazy fool. Don't even get me started on the women, holy shit, which on average think they are so entitled compared to some American girls I've come across who seemed so much more chill to meet and were so much more attractive. It's literally so much easier to get laid in the US compared to the UK. Also this shitty gloomy weather that is so common in the UK really doesn't help as well and only enforces depression.
The British education system is also big joke, man, which seriously screwed me over. The ridiculous school uniforms are nothing than just additional tax for the school. Also Imagine thinking most students know what they want to be in the future at fricking 15 years old seeing how the course one chooses at sixth form college while they are still in fricking secondary school can influence what one does in university. While in the US, you don't even choose your university major course straight away when applying for university, you do all that stuff later when you're already there. The fact that one can only apply to only 5 specific university places on UCAS is just fricking awful as well then choose two offers when undecided and not knowing what grade they will get like what happened this year.
The clusterfuck that is Brexit is just another reason seeing how the fricking economy will suffer big time when things become official. I'm predicting a brain drain (a lot of educated people like me leaving the country) if the economy declines by a lot. This country seriously screwed me over. Best thing to do is to just leave it and start over.

I was very lucky in that London was wonderful when I GREW UP AND STRANGERS often helped me on numerous occasions.
I lived in INNER London until 1983 and Outer London since. Now I just "use" London and living right on the edge is the best of all worlds. Near London.Great Suburbs and near The Kent Countryside :)

HI, Zen As there are so many different people of so many different Nationalities and Cultures I find that racial groups "tolerate" each other but do not have a natural affinity to one another as Nigerians would do in Ajuba or Jamaicans in Kingston or the 98% White indigenous Brits of my youth did back in the late 1950's/1960's. If I told some anecdotes of back then I would not be believed like THe London Evening News vendor leaving his moneybag and papers by the side of the road overnight for people to buy the papers and collecting the money the next morning or, in football, 72,000 fans at Charlton singing "Happy Birthday" to AWAY player: Stanley Matthews. :). 3 times I broke down in my car and complete strangers jacked the car up and put on my spare tiyre at Brighton (on a day out by roadside picnickers) at Crayford and at Lewisham where I went into the pub on the corner of Lee High Road and Belmont Hill (if you know that area) and asked for and got help. My council block was unrestricted entry then and now that same block has two Security systems, both numerical, and grills on some lower floor windows. People queued politely, even in the rain when late for work, for open deck buses and accepted the authority of the Bus Conductor. If people were using public payphones (Pre Mobiles, of course ) then we would quickly end our conversation as "someone is waiting outside" etc etc.
Interesting that when I visited the English Countryside 2 years ago they still maintained certain traditions like taking boxes of flowers from the vendor's garden and posting the money through his letterbox if he was out...

Thank you for sharing the truth ! The rain !!!! I just hate the weather. Public transport? Too expensive. Accommodation? Too hard. Buy a house? Don't ever think about it. Drinks? Too expensive. Friend? Lives in the other side of London. London is also dirty during the weekend.... Attraction? Too expensive? Food? Too expensive? Air con? Don't need it. Just open the window and the cold will for sure come a back. But yes I do love London.😊

It's great if you enjoy having to take very expensive and very long flights to go back to the UK or see anywhere in Europe. Their major cities are also among the most expensive in the world. Odds are you'd have to live in some boring, inland suburban area > 45minutes from the main city area and Port Jackson/Sydney Harbour.

I don't really mind the rain. In fact I love the constant changing weather. What I hate about is public transport has ZERO air conditioning, especially the shitty Boris Busses. Also, the constant murders, noise, light, air pollution, literally everything except the weather.

24. Racism - London is probably the most racially diverse city on the planet, next to New York. Within Europe even Amsterdam doesn't come close.
25. Tourist Attractions - London has the most free museums in Europe that I'm aware of: The British Museum (you can spend a full 5 days in there to do it justice), the Natural History Museum and the Science Museum. By contrast the Museo Nazionale in Naples costs 18 euros entry.
26. Green Spaces - London is one of the greenest cities of its size in the world - Green Park, Hyde Park, Richmond Park, Hampstead Heath, Ealing Common, Wanstead Park, Greenwich Park etc, etc. It's certainly greener in the centre compared to the likes of Paris, Milan, Rome, Amsterdam, Cologne and Istanbul.
This is where most people get it wrong, the assumption that racism doens't exist in London because it's so racially diverse, let me tell you the truth, most people in London\ UK (i mean white native english) are absolutelly fine, but as a black man in the UK, i can assure you the BRITISH POLICE is the most "RACIST USELESS" i ever came across they're an absolute waste of tax payers money and an international embarrassment for you, i know i know why i'm still in the UK?

Kalecimus that's a good point. Diversity does not mean there isn't racism. That said, there are likely fewer of the worst types or at least they are more likely to keep it to themselves.
I also would not take the anonymous hateful/racist comments on UA-cam videos as proof of racism in London. It's possible many of them don't even live in the city. There are far-right white nationalists and supremacists obsessed with what they think are supposed to be completely white countries and they push their hate everywhere relevant they can online, even if they don't live there or have never visited.

Weather is not unpredictable we are really lucky as we don't get earth quakes or any of the things Japan or USA get
I visited London for the first time last year and enjoyed many of the usual tourist sites (Big Ben, Parliament, etc.), even though it was for business. I would compare it favorably with Paris as another world class and fine city (I myself coming from NYC).
I will visit London again this year and may visit Stonehenge and a few football (soccer) stadiums.
What a grand city.

London has very anoying things but also loads of better things to do and systems than other major cities .. the only think I see bad is how expensive the properties are
Look at the crime rate in London it's very high and named murder city, as thousands have been stabbed or murdered its terrifying London is.
There will probably be more homeless people in London with the Universal Credit introduction as well.
The only thing I am concerned about is coping in London with my English 😂;).
