    It's a great product and thank you for the sale. I wish the driver modes could be changed without the use of the buttons. I was hoping to add this to my arcade cabinet's control panel. I have no where to put the yellow buttons and would only use them to change the driver modes.

    Hello what depth do you need in a case for the stick, my case has just over 2 inches is that enough.

    This looks fantastic. How could I potentially support this controller in a future, non Donut Dodo related, game? Is the rotational input mapped to mouse trackball movement on the x-axis together with a sensitivity variable?

    Hi Glen, I bought the GRS Ikari Super Joystick and waiting to recieve it. Do you know if this might work with Atari Food Fight in Mame ? I am restoring a Food Fight Atari cabinet and I bought the GRS Super to use in it. Food Fight has a unique joystick set up that acts and moves like a mouse and you press a fire button to launch food at the chefs in the game. I am installing a PC Hyperspin multi system with Mame in it, I will be able to play Frontline , Ikari etc. Midway's Kosmic Kruzer and Kwackery are two other odd rotary games also. I've been waiting for years to find something like this to play Frontline. Great job. Thanks Mike.

    Could you explain please specifically how you would use this joystick with Atgames Pro. I bought one, put it together and connected the USB port to the back and it did nothing. Thunderstick Studios told me it was plug and play without any configuration so I'm beyond confused now as to how to make this joystick work me the Atgame Pro console

    I ordered mine on day 1 and patiently waiting. You've thought of quite a bit with this Super Joystick. I have a question with the software. I know you show it customizable from a GUI interface. Is there a way to save profile(s) for different setups and then update the encoder from a DOS executable? This way a batch file or startup command line can be used in emulators/front ends upon launch and exit of specific games. I have the Ultimarc 360FS as an Analog option for games like Star Wars Trilogy, Blaster, Food Fight, along with triggerstick options for Tron, Gorf, Zaxxon, and even set it for 4-way diagonal only for Q*Bert and Congo Bongo. Very versatile stick programmable on the fly from the DOS prompt with saved profiles. I'd love to do the same with the GRS Super Joystick!

    • @GlensRetroShow
      @GlensRetroShow  9 місяців тому

      Right now no, you can definitely save a single configuration to the joystick. I can look at the feasibility of multiple profiles and different executables but right now it's only done through windows

    Is the stick on its own going to be made available? Dont need the full kit of buttons etc, just a pair of the sticks themselves would be nice, and available outside the US as well.

    • @GlensRetroShow
      @GlensRetroShow  9 місяців тому

      At this time, there are no plans to offer it outside of the kit. But working on outside the USA.. right now that part is due to the SNK License agreement

    Gotta be honest wiring this joystick was not my favorite. Plugging in wires into the underside of the joystick with maybe an inch of clearance is far from ideal, not to mention some of the crimp terminals can form a death grip onto the button pins, so much so that in attempting to remove one it pulled a pin right out of one of my buttons. TS Studios was kind enough to mail out a gratis button replacement however 👍

    • @GlensRetroShow
      @GlensRetroShow  7 місяців тому +1

      I hear you but to remove the button pins is extremely easy. They actually have a locking pin. If you look at the connectors under the rubber you press it down with your fingers to release the pin. Then it come on and off easy
      You will damage them if you try and pull them off without pressing the pin down or at least a potential for damage

      @@GlensRetroShow Well, at least as easy as maneuvering very small objects with adult-sized fingers can be I suppose 😄 Appreciate the tip though.

      @@UToobin75 if you can connect it to your PC and run the USB game controller setup and see if all the buttons registered properly and the joystick registered properly. Also you could put it into the hot top mode and test the rotations

      @@GlensRetroShow Yeah definitely something funky going on. Tested out a wired 8bitdo controller and everything works fine so I know that the fault lies within the GRS Joystick. Oddly everything seems to be registering correctly in both the TS-configuration and USB joystick settings. But rotary games within the Amazon Games SNK 40th Anniversary Collection aren't playing nice. Every rotary game starts off firing (and won't stop until I manually press the fire button to reset the process), despite having auto-fire set to off or remapping the fire button. After that point most games seem playable however with the exception of Time Soldiers. With Time Soldiers, I seem to need to switch the control settings from single stick to dual stick, and the character absolutely will not stop firing unless I cycle through the way mode -- and even then sometimes firing can re-trigger a faulty auto-firing lock. Again, everything seems to check out in the TS-configuration and USB Joystick settings, so I'm kind of at a loss. I feel like I'm going to need to open this thing back up to recheck the wiring, but I suspect it might be difficult to narrow down.
