Rob, because of you I started playing the holy trinity of ps4 graphic games, The Witcher 3, Complete Edition, Ni no Kuni, and Metal Gear Solid, all of them. Thank you, you are awesome. Now, back to my New Game Plus play through of Witcher 3, I've got diagrams to find.
rob please do 7 dogs so awosome they deserve a treat: koromaru (persona 3) d-dog pots (jet set radio ) dogmeat (fallout) (cause its my birthday next week!)
Does anyone else wish fast travel was an actual thing. I would love to shave off 2hours of my day driving to and from work just by pointing my finger at where my work is on a map lol
Great video as always Rob. Quick question, I know that you work for PlayStation and this channel is specific to PlayStation, but do you guys play anything else? Just something I've been curious about.
I'd like to also suggest webbing around New York from Spiderman 2. Any of the dash abilities from Infamous: Second Son (especially Neon). OR (and I know this isn't Playstation) but the new Zelda's paragliding ability has spoiled me. I've probably thrown myself off a cliff a dozen times in Horizon Zero Dawn, forgetting I can't glide after playing Breathe of the Wild.
No Man's Sky doesn't have an ending. You just grind for weeks to get to the center of the galaxy and the game forces you to do it all over and over and over and over again. That is crazy.
I would like to say a big thank you for all the videos you guys do. I thoroughly enjoy the Access Features on Monday and the Friday Features. The help me start and end my week. I have been watching your channel for about a year now and was there when you guys hit 1 million subs. Keep doing what you're doing and I will keep watching. P.S. Thanks for all the Metal Gear and FF references Rob. Those are two of my favourite game franchises and I have a propensity to slip them into many conversations.
I loved the Car in FF15 and I loved how the chocobos control in it but i barely used chocobos because I hated getting off and on them to pick up items.
I expect Rob to say soon as a bonus ending to an episode "7 times we didn't show the MGS tally....but we do now!" Where they catch up in one scene and we can all happily continue and breath safely from now on.
Idea for next video, Rob - "7 types of achievements that people hate" ... for example, luck based achievements (like roll 5 of a kind in Witcher 2 dice game), collectibles achievements, leaderboard achievements, date/time based achievements, "beat this time" achievements, grinding achievements, and worst of all "miss one little thing and you can't get the achievement" achievements ... there, Rob, I've done the job for you ... now you can film "platinuming" that Final Fantasy :D
The coolest ways for me to travel are - flyin as a fire-breathing dragon in Divinity - Ego Draconis - parcouring in Mirrors Edge - Catalyst in one fluid run across the map - riding one of those amazing mounts from Guild Wars 2, I just love them! - running, jumping, climbing in Assassins Creed - Odyssey, there's just no limit
I wish there was a PS4 remastering of the trilogy. If Crash Bandicoot can get a remaster then Spyo deserves one well. In fact I have always prefered Spyro over Crash. Year of the Dragon is my favourite PSOne game.
Great video =) Just wanted to say Rob, thanks and to Nath, Dave and Holly too. Your videos over the past two years have slowly convinced me to switch to Playstation. Got my first Playstation since PS2 (only borrowed a PS3 for MGS4) the other week and I've fallen completely in love with it. So much more selection and much more fun. Keep up the awesome work guys! You guys rule!
when i played ffxv whenever i used the soundtracks from the previous games I could almost never hear them. the songs werent loud enough. was there anyway to change that?
I felt that way when I played beyond the Beyond when the baby dragon you've been friends with the whole game grows up with you and becomes this huge frikking dragon that kills everything in battle when you call him and you can hop onto his back and fly around the world! It was great to see how everyone changed and developed as they grew older in the game and that the dragon was included really topped it off!
in LEGO Dimensions you can travel around via time traveling DeLorean, TARDIS, KITT, Tornado ( Tails' plane from the Sonic the Hedgehog series ), Batmobile, Invisible Jet, Ecto-1, velociraptor or just plain power of flight.... and it's not Playstation, but Skells in Xenoblade Chronicles X
I run everywhere in Horizon zero dawn cause at least just for me the mounts control like absolute rubbish. You'd think robots would be capable of stepping over rocks
2 things: A. the cardboard box is used also for fast travel in mgs 5, by siting on a cargo point some dutiful delivery driver will whisk you away to your chosen destination. 2. when flying in the regalia from FFXV it is the law to listen to the highwind music. love Friday videos. x
That one girl aleisha you can practice it a mother Base. crouched in box on delivery post and a prompt appears on screen. their version of fast travel. love the game
This channel needs more Xenogears. That game was the BEST. This video made me think of the Yggdrasil, which **SPOILERS** goes from a submarine to a jet as you progress through the game. That was a moment of true triumph. I mean, C'MON. Also, the end boss was probably one of the hardest bosses ever. You could be maxed out and you still needed a strategy.
I love calling mounts out of thin air just to use as a meat-shield distraction when things get a bit sticky. Like aggroing half a dozen glinthawks. You may say "but it's a waste of skill points!". Not when you've finished unlocking every skill in the game.
Couldn't have agreed more, Horizon Zero Dawn is a masterpiece! And yep, I've marathoned my way through it, completing it nearly 100%. Just love it!!! 😍
How about the Vertibirds in Fallout 4? Just fly around Boston while spraying anything that moves with minigun fire. Or, if this video was made in 2018, the K-Drives from Warframe. Sure, the archwing is faster, but the K-Drive is a hoverboard. You're able to do all kinds of cool tricks with the thing and feel like a proper badass.
there are a couple of temporary female party members, but the main cast is all male, which makes sense considering their bond is one of the main focuses of the game
The skell flight module in Xenoblade Chronicles X. The beautiful alien landscapes combined with the music that starts when you take flight makes for an incredible experience. I honestly feel a little sad every time I have to land.
In DragonAge Inquisition, The only time I ever used my mount was in the Hissing Wastes. The horse mechanic was clunky, but beyond that, if you rode a horse, you missed out on your party's conversations. ...At least, I think you do. I rarely rode my horse. But when I did, there were no conversations...
Chiming in months later, without reading the sea of comments, the cardboard box absolutely is a method of travel worthy of putting in the list. In the first metal gear, possibly later entries (can’t remember them as well) you can actually fast travel between distant locations depending on which box you are using. Each one is labeled for a specific area of the game, and as long as you’re using a box not labeled for the area you’re currently in, you’ll see a brief fade out, the truck engine fires up, and when the screen fades back... voila! You’ve fast traveled in MGS.
For me I'd like to add some of my favorites. Super powers in the Infamous games. Whether it's rail grinding on the tracks in Infamous or dashing into vents for an air boost in Second Son, traversal is just fun. Sprinting in Prototype. If you've played Prototype, you know how fun it is to simply run around. This can also apply to Saints Row 4 and Saints Row Gat Outta Hell. The Jackdaw in Assassins Creed 4 is a lot of fun whether it's naval combat or sailing while listening to shanties. Lastly, who can forget the web swinging in Spider-Man. Damn it's fun.
ROB WHAT HAVE YOU DONE. From that opening skit my brain said "Well Kieran they do have a good point, when you're a child, at level 1, you have no choice but to walk everywhere unless someone is kind enough to offer you a lift, then as you progress through life you unlock more means of travelling, and in a faster way, trains, busses, cars, air planes, so really games do mirror real life, the further on you get, the more things you unlock!" AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH SOMEONE I'M GOING TO HAVE ANOTHER EXISTENTIAL CRISIS OHMYGOD
The Drakes in Shadow of War are fantastic transport as well, searing Uruks and Ologs to a crisp as you gracefully glide over the barron wasteland that is Gorgoroth or anywhere in Mordor really, that game is simply amazing!
Cheeky haircut at 10:00, the illusion that you deliver these lines off-the-bat in one take shattered, how can we ever trust what we see in this virtual world of UA-cam again?
i was thinking of the wingsuit in JC3 the whole video but you know what is better? the bavarium wingsuit of the fortress Sky DLC. that thing is just amazing and you will never touch a freaking car/plane ever again xD
Though it's not an open world, I really love the flying carpet bit in KH2. That was AWESOME. I hope there will be more flying bits in KH3. Also when not in Agrabah, I used "glide" everywhere, lol. Thanks for the video, Rob! I had lots of giggles :)
i'd also say infamous second son is nice for this list too floating around, using ducts to lift you into the air and super quick neon sprinting..so fun
"Robert, it's 3 o'clock in the morning, you'd better not still be playing that game! No, I'm asleep." This is why Rob's videos are the best. He makes the channel.
my Regalia song of choice for most of the game was Final Fantasy 1 battle music, the nostalgia and beautiful scenery filled a good 60 hours of pointless driving everywhere just for the sake of it
#301club yeah! and I feel the same way with all open-world games, I despise having to travel long distances in games when I could spend the time having fun killing things or other game activities.
Rob, 3:00 in the morning with Horizon Zero Dawn. That made me laugh.

Hi guys, I just wanted to let you know that I have been watching quite many of your videos lately, they are nice and funny. So if you have been wondering where that extra view was coming from, it was me. Now you know and don't have to wonder why so many of your videos are getting an extra view :)
While those are all great methods of travel, I am completely in love with the Mark V from Battlefield 1 for travel. I don't need to fight in it(thought I love that too), so much as casually go where I please and roll over anything that thought it could be a barrier.
I like how I watch videos from Outside XBOX and Playstation Access. (Just shows you I can go with whichever. I don't care about comparing the two. If it can run a game I like, then it's fine.)
that's a very telling sign when you mention Batman: Arkham Knight and only mention the Batmobile because it helps you shoot into the air so you can glide more.
What about Saints Row IV? The base game had Super Jump, which was way more fun than driving around. Then, Gat Out of Hell gave us angelic wings to fly around, which was even better!
"No I'm asleep"

no honorable mention for jumping? We all know that in any video game if one is forced to walk, that means jump :P
xeamnz i was thinking rolling but same concept
Nope that just for idiots
Even when its the exact same speed....... Castlevania anyone?
@@SlayerRunefrost I immediately thought of skyrim but yeah castlevania works to
@@pikagotglock7038 I’d say Oblivion. The animation is funnier while in 3rd Person

This video freaked me out as I'm in Milton Keynes having literally just finished Horizon Zero Dawn. Curse you clairvoyant Rob
Dave. You had one job to do... ONE job. What's happened to the MG Tally?
You've changed man... I blame the beard ;-)
But you actually can fast travel with the box in mgsv, you just have to find delivery points and rip off the note thing.
That's no where near as fun as box ski-ing though -Rob
***** You got me there
+PlayStation Access i got a idea for next week 5 anoying animals and one could be the dogs from call of duty zombies
Yeah, but they got nothing on the dogs from Jet Force Gemini.

PlayStation Access nice and please do it for my birthday!

Pariah is the best dog.

Rob how about the elytra in minecraft playstaiin edition
we need a "final fantasy tally"...

Haha I know right. Guess not many people caught that

Love you guys!!!
No Man's Sky doesn't have an ending. You just grind for weeks to get to the center of the galaxy and the game forces you to do it all over and over and over and over again. That is crazy.
There was an ending? I played 2 hours and gave the game back to the store.
Finally, I am in the 301 Club!!!

How did you get your hair cut and beard trimmed so seamlessly between 8:53 and 10:03? I'm baffled!
Robert Hane how do you add those links
Squalltheff8 Alright, time for the ritual! Get a barrel of live ants, 28 orange peels, and a generic cultust costume.
Awww...but Rob, you missed one of my childhood favorites! Nothing made me say, "Screw you, walking," more than Jak 2's Hoverboard.
As soon as I discovered that you can hail and use a taxi in GTA 4 ... that's how I got around
Despite everything, Breath of the Wild made me LOVE walking in video games again. Great list, guys and gals!
But then you get the para-glider thing out, right? Or surf on your shield? Walking's got nothing on that -Rob
Can't forget when you unlock Skells in Xenoblade chronicles X, especially when you unlock flying units.
Claus Grimhildr have you tried freezing something in time, hitting it loads and then hanging off of it? I can't walk any were now in BOTW now
Harry Bartko last time I tried that, I got Catapulted into a cliff and almost died
Shield boarding is great, and so I horse riding. (But shield boarding is still better XD)
i wonder how many times rob saw the game over screen from trying to land in ffxv
+chaos Too many times -Rob
8:40 - I always thought the "God-Bird" flight you got in Dragon Quest VIII for the PlayStation 2 was pretty awesome.
did he get a haircut after the middle of the video? at the beginning there was (some) hair on his head and then none!! :o
Had to re-film the last few lines. Had a hair cut in between! -Rob
thank god for rob's friday features! don't ever lose that gameshow music
Rob began the video with hair and on 10:01 he magically shaved it
The coolest ways for me to travel are
- flyin as a fire-breathing dragon in Divinity - Ego Draconis
- parcouring in Mirrors Edge - Catalyst in one fluid run across the map
- riding one of those amazing mounts from Guild Wars 2, I just love them!
- running, jumping, climbing in Assassins Creed - Odyssey, there's just no limit
Rob you shaved your head mid video absolutely brilliant.
I love the swinging in Spider-Man so much that I had to physically try to get the achievement for using the subway
For my whole play through of fallout 4 I never knew you could fast travel. Most of my 100 hours + play time is probably just walking across the map.
ummm stupid
I am so sorry for you
The batman gliding in Arkham Knight is perfect! Love it to bits!!
If only the Witcher 3 had flying mounts...
Ni no kuni dragon looks just like a grown up Spyro.
ManosTheOne ah spyro those were the days
ManosTheOne I wish those games had a spiritual successor of some sort.
I wish there was a PS4 remastering of the trilogy. If Crash Bandicoot can get a remaster then Spyo deserves one well. In fact I have always prefered Spyro over Crash. Year of the Dragon is my favourite PSOne game.
ManosTheOne reviving an old post I know but a grown up Spyro is still better than riding dragons in Skyrim.

No, you're awesome. Thanks for watching! -Rob
LMAO I hardly ever used mounts in HZD. It's not sneaky enough
Also they handle terribly.
Yan Guo I never use them because I have to constantly get off to collect health. I'd much rather just run, slide, roll, repeat.
the walking in horizon is just a joy!
Mounts were pretty much useless in horizon. Probably the only game I have ever just walked through.

The Jackdaw in Assassins Creed 4 is a lot of fun whether it's naval combat or sailing while listening to shanties.
Lastly, who can forget the web swinging in Spider-Man. Damn it's fun.
Hmmm... how's bout the BAVARIUM WINGSUIT from the Sky Fortress DLC that basically turns you into Mediterranean rocket Batman.
ROB WHAT HAVE YOU DONE.
From that opening skit my brain said "Well Kieran they do have a good point, when you're a child, at level 1, you have no choice but to walk everywhere unless someone is kind enough to offer you a lift, then as you progress through life you unlock more means of travelling, and in a faster way, trains, busses, cars, air planes, so really games do mirror real life, the further on you get, the more things you unlock!"
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH SOMEONE I'M GOING TO HAVE ANOTHER EXISTENTIAL CRISIS OHMYGOD
The Drakes in Shadow of War are fantastic transport as well, searing Uruks and Ologs to a crisp as you gracefully glide over the barron wasteland that is Gorgoroth or anywhere in Mordor really, that game is simply amazing!
What about the sliding on rails and cables in Infamous?
Cheeky haircut at 10:00, the illusion that you deliver these lines off-the-bat in one take shattered, how can we ever trust what we see in this virtual world of UA-cam again?
BEEN WAITING ALL DAY ROB, YOU BEAUTIFUL MAN
Always love the Friday Feature. favourite video of the week :)
For a UA-cam channel called PlayStation Access, I'm surprised that inFAMOUS's powerline grinding wasn't added.
Ayela i didnt even think of that, good one.
I live in Milton keynes and had a good laugh at this video. It's true, nothing but redways and roundabouts here. Awesome. Cheers!
Another great video!
Completely random question. Rob, what kind of watch are you wearing? I have been curious far to long.
Cheers
I'm already Queen of Everything but 'Animoids,' Rob? You, clearly, are the Queen of Naming Things
i was thinking of the wingsuit in JC3 the whole video but you know what is better? the bavarium wingsuit of the fortress Sky DLC. that thing is just amazing and you will never touch a freaking car/plane ever again xD
I always loved how much Jak and Daxter 2 changed once you got the hoverboard. That one totally removed the need to walk.
you can play the other final fantasy music while walking if you get the mp3 player at one of the gas stations though .
Though it's not an open world, I really love the flying carpet bit in KH2. That was AWESOME. I hope there will be more flying bits in KH3. Also when not in Agrabah, I used "glide" everywhere, lol. Thanks for the video, Rob! I had lots of giggles :)
"You better not be playing that game" robs reply "No, Im asleep"
I look forward to the Friday Feature every week, I honestly don't know how I've gone through life before this. 👍
The dragon back thing from ni no koni is within Shadow of War. When they showed the gameplay trailer you can ride a dragon! I'm ready for that
i'd also say infamous second son is nice for this list too floating around, using ducts to lift you into the air and super quick neon sprinting..so fun
"Robert, it's 3 o'clock in the morning, you'd better not still be playing that game!
No, I'm asleep."
This is why Rob's videos are the best. He makes the channel.
Rob. Friday Feature idea: 7 times that we did cosplays of video game characters in our favorite games. (And pls include Metal Gear Solid)
The rail system from BioShock Infinite is another great alternative to walking
10:03 Magical haircut transformation. Second tier Rob.
my Regalia song of choice for most of the game was Final Fantasy 1 battle music, the nostalgia and beautiful scenery filled a good 60 hours of pointless driving everywhere just for the sake of it
#301club yeah! and I feel the same way with all open-world games, I despise having to travel long distances in games when I could spend the time having fun killing things or other game activities.
All this video has done for me is wanting to purchase Just Cause 3. My backlog is already to big. Brilliant video by the way.
poor dave he genuinely looks catatonic from all the mgs entrys
Did you guys get a new camera or something? The video quality's amazing!
Man, I cracked up at the mountain lion getting wrecked by that cop car at the end. XD
