Stephane. I really can’t add much to the wonderful and deserved comments below. I am second generation Italian with a love for military history. I made this kit some fifty years ago. I thought it was great then. However, your kit build is so much better. You are very talented. Thank you for sharing. Regards, Bob
Hello Stephen, thank you very much for your comment. Visibily we had the same occupations when we were kids. It was the beginning of a passion. See you soon . Thanks again mate 🙂
This is the sort of thing i used to do back in the late 1970s and early 80s , take a Airfix or Heller kit and rebuild and super detail it , but now im in my late 50s i prefer to buy a modern kit that does not require doing much to it or i get enjoyment out of watching videos like yours , excellent build .
Thank you very much, I admit I love building recent models! It's a bit of a recreation !!! I also adore the Passions, one of my favorite bands from the early 80's !!!!

Used buy these kits and kits from a company called Frog as a kid. This is all you need to have a bit of fun on a rainy day. I had tons of these hanging in my room.
Yes, we all have these kinds of memories from childhood and adolescence. The models were finished in a few minutes and proudly adorned our nightstand. So I spent a lot of time before I fell asleep contemplating my masterpiece!
Muito obrigado por este bom comentário. Esta maquete é muito legal! Eu recomendo fortemente a você apesar do preço excessivo na internet. Uma reedição da Airfix seria bem-vinda!

Hello Richard. Thanks a lot for this nice comment. I built this Fiat for the first time when i was a kid. I was fascineted by its so unusual shape. The italian camouflages are so beautiful! Thanks again and see you soon. Take a look on the Super Mystère (my last build), Airfix did a fantastic kit during the 70's.😉👍
One of my first builds, back in the seventies. I remember vividly the beautiful artwork, that pale blue plastic and even the instruction sheet😄! And i used to build my kits the way you built this one - adding a lot of details. Of course, back in those days gathering solid informations and pictures was A LOT harder than now. Your work reminds me of mine ones: one just had to pick some fairly well shaped basic kit and try to turn it into a somewhat realistic reconstruction of the real thing. BTW, your model is really nice. Panel lines are a bit too deep but, hey, this kit is way smaller than an adult's hand!!!
Hello Riccardo, thank you very much for your nice comment. This kit is memory of my youth too. If toi have pictures of your realisations, i will be very happy to watch them. See you soon Ricardo and... yes, the pannel lines are too deep 😜👍
Very, very nice. I would have chosen the scheme shown at 3:10 with the Savoy Cross stretching all through the tail, side to side... but a great job anyway.
Hello David, thanks for this smart comment. The colour sheme of the G50 is various and many choices were possible. But i had only the decals of the box...and i don't felt able to repaint them by hand 🙄. I apologize about my poor (and so french) english: i did'nt use any automatic translator. 🤯
Hey David , i like it but you got carried away a little bit with your scriber. Normally 3-4 passes would be enough. Another thing to keep in mind is that this kit is notorious for its undersized engine cowling. You could also try to thin the exhaust petals of the engine cowling from the insides to give the illusion of thinness. Great work on the cockpit , sweet paint job!
thank you for these very carefully observed remarks! Indeed, I was aware of the original flaws of this old model but I did not want to embark on work that would have taken me too far from the initial kit. And yes, I should have insisted less on the engraving! Thank you for this interesting comment.
Hello! Thanks for this nice compliment, especialy from you! I am very honored!!Your videos are always a real pleasure. See you soon on your so interesting channel
Beautifully built and finished! I like the Italian mottled camouflage patterns which ranged from subtle airbrushed blending on some planes, (including your great model,) to harsher paint brushed patterns on other planes.
Built this kit as a kid in the early 90`s. One of my very first trials with an airbrush, oh joy what a mess. I am sure the reviews of this kit back then was of the very best, hahaha. Strange how Airfix never retooled this kit as they have done with so many of their old kits. Any chance Heller will do as Airfix and make brand new toolings of their old kits or is the company no more? Anyone know what "BIS" means in italian WWII aircraft ???
Airfix is selling this kit again without any modifications! The "Bis" corresponds to the version with an open canopy; earlier models had a sliding canopy.
Indeed :-))) A very surprising old kit. Not very easy to find at a reasonable price. I was very lucky to find it in internet at 5 euros with an other Airfix kit: the Spad VII!
Merci, effectivement, je le cherchais depuis un petit moment sur internet mais les tarifs étaient beaucoup trop élevés! Je l'ai trouvé sur le bon coin à 5 euros, j'ai sauté sur l'occasion!
Bravissimo. Grazie mille mi hai riportato all'età di 8 anni quando ci giocavo. Lo ricostruiro' ancora una volta 👌

What a pleasure to read such a comment, I also fell in love with this kit when I was very young. I wanted to do it again and pay homage to him.
Lovely job, remember buying this at the local post office when I was a kid. Those Italian planes always appealed to me.

Brilliant. Master modeller. Shows what can be done with a rudimentary kit and superlative skills.
I am very honored by this comment! The work was not really complicated, the plane is simple and the model is easily modifiable. Thanks again!
Flaps, cockpit, panel rescribe; you sure added a lot of detail to liven up this kit. Tasty looking model!
Thanks! This work was quiet easy! ;-)
So far I built four of these. As simple and outdated the kit is, you can make much out of it. And you did it masterly, of course. 🎉

I remember this old kit, Revell made the CR42 and the Mc200, so you could build some passable early war RA aircrafts.
