He's right. Black culture in America is a lot different than black cultures in the rest of the world. I've never of my parents and aunt and uncles all got divorced and multiple marriages. Every single one. The generation before them, my grandparents stayed together but they still had a lot of problems in the marriages. I've always feared getting married because of that and never actually seeing it healthy functional marriage.
Yea but most black marriages in other countries are not based in love and kindness. It’s literally just about saying you’re married. Men are not faithful, often times abusive and women are subjected to being belittled and treated like second class citizens. Nobody wants that for the rest of their lives. Maybe you but not me.
@@digitaledu6624 from the women in other countries 😂.. Y’all do know women share what it’s like being married. Thanks to social media we know a lot about marriages in Africa, Europe, Asia, Brazil.. If you’re not half way stupid and willing to hear what women are saying it sucks to be married globally. It’s a means to an end. Maybe for social standing, financial gain but it is rarely about love and protection and it will never be because men refuse to evolve..

That’s nonsense too many people come up with to not man up. My dad and uncles are all serial cheaters. That’s all I’ve seen growing up. I saw how hard it was for my mom and aunts, and I knew it was not something I wanted to inflict on any woman. Met my wife in college. Got married 3 months after graduation. It has been 17 years now. Anyone who waited that long to marry was either too lazy to think about getting married or didn’t take it seriously.
@@theyeatusdad Why would I feel superior to him? I’m just saying that it has become too easy for people to use that reason. I guess it’s a more acceptable reason than "marriage just didn’t cross my mind" or "I wasn’t ready for marriage".
Then you’re a success story my guy. You’re one of the few people who had enough awareness to do the right thing. You’re blessed. Don’t judge the next man because their journey was different from yours
This is a stupid comment. Everyone reacts differently the similar situations. You got lucky and met your wife in college. Imagine had you not and just kept meeting bad woman after bad woman your outlook on relationships would’ve changed drastically
Divorce and infidelity is high in every culture that experiences divorce. Don't blame being black as an excuse. Many blacks are in committed faithful relationships and marriages.

"Because I'm black" is such a dumb thing to say. It's more of an American culture thing tbh because marriage is very sacred in other continents.
Thank you
Only Americans get divorced. Very true. 😐
Even us Africans we struggle with that
Na hes prob right

Real reason is he was into drugging women, allegedly.

Haha it's not "I'm black" it's more like "I'm American black"
He should have said im black American not black.

Your family has nothing to do with everyone else.
Don't be so brash Charlemagne. You've only be married 5 years n you think you are @ the finish line?
Don’t use your parents as a excuse after 18 make your own decisions, it’s called being grown
It’s not excuse he’s just saying how he was raised and that made him afraid of commitment at least he’s admitting it
