    Thank you Charlamagne for being so open, the opps can say whatever. But you are opening the conversation of anxiety, depression, self-worth etc. which is either hardly ever discussed or looked down upon in the black community. As someone who is coming to terms with my own troubled mental health, I can relate to everything you are saying. I don't care about what these bum ass trolls has to say, please keep on doing what you are doing, you are blessing more lives than you know.

    • @Bibi_xoxoo
      @Bibi_xoxoo 5 років тому +2

      Some people feel accomplished in that area of being a father because they grew up with no father. Also if a boy grew up in a community where the father abandons the family and there are only single mothers raising the children that affects them and will play out in their adult life. If you are a female you wont really understand it. Just imagine if your mother left you and you grew up in a community where mothers left their children behind. Apart of you will feel inadequte and it will affect you in your adult life some how. So men that go through this the moment they become a father and acctually take responsibilty and do their part of what is right and going against seeing everything they have seen and believed in childhood they feel accomplished when they become a father and be apart of their childs life

My kids will be going to college soon, and my only 3 friends didn't know how I grew up. I made an appointment for my son for therapy. As I look back, he has had anxiety since he was 7 years old. Even though he was raised without the struggles I had to deal with.

    In life we will all have times of reflection. He doesnt feel deserving of love because of the wrong things he has done and how he treated people. If your spouse departed today and you never will ever see them again, are you happy with how you have treated them "overall"? The answer is easy and fast. Smile or hold your head down. Do you deserve their love right at this moment. If not then change today.

      She have a lot to learn. I don't see how she's so famous. I think this TV show points more to her being young and pretty. An "oh look at that young pretty girl she's a therapist" type of show. Charlamagne is obviously forcing his vulnerability to make her feel more comfortable. Her body language shows that she doesn't really know what she's doing.

      Anyone who has been through therapy and or has studied to be a therapist knows that the relationship is give and take. Also, having the right chemistry between patient and therapist is necessary for anything positive to occur. She can't help him if he's giving guarded cookie cutter answers. While she may know what is wrong part of the process is to help him discover his problem as well as the solutions that will work best for him. Can't help someone if they won't open up and do the hard work of self discovery and healing.

I use to listen to him in NY and he was brutal to others at the side of cold hearted Wendy Williams. I like that he is growing, but he should acknowledge those he has insulted along the way. Success is only a blessing if you can hear GOD in the process . God is nothing material but all Love for mankind!

    This is the problem with these social media doctors. They choose the doctors that have followers, or who look good on TV. Dr. Jess is not appropriate for this setting. She is not a therapist she is a psychiatrist resident. Psychiatric residency programs, for the most part, don't emphasize psychotherapy training. Unless Charlemagne is taking medication she is the wrong doctor. A Psychologist was needed. Also having someone who is resident is very inappropriate. Dr Jess take some advice wait until you finish your residency to go pubic. You saw what Trump did to Dr. Eugene Gu who was in last year of residency at Vanderbilt. He became public and was kicked out of his program. You worked very hard to get to where you are. Don’t allow the fame and social media cloud your judgement. Keep your head low finish your residency and then do all of this. Dr. OZ will also tell you. The medical community frowns on this kind of stuff.

    There is no humility in this man's tone of voice. It's the play the victim theory going on right now.

      My thoughts exactly ... very disingenuous, this is just his attempt to rebrand himself that’s all

    I don’t like this therapist. She seems like a really bad actress acting like a therapist. So cheesy and overacting.

      C. Roses actually I'm currently taking a class on therapy and the show was boring and awkward. because I'm wondering if he charlamage got anxiety when the young lady from South Carolina came out stating that Charlamagne was at a teenage party at the age of 22 where she was raped.

      Sierra Johnson That surely has to be a part of it but not a majority of the reasons why he has anxiety. I think he has a lot of hurt, ptsd and abuse he has to unravel in his life and if only starting to do so. e.g. he was sexually abused by his uncle’s grown ass wife at the age of 8 but he doesn’t acknowledge it as being molested but rather he was getting head, being a player and bagging an older woman at a young...however any court in the country would have convicted her for indecent sexual assault on a CHILD and she’s essentially a pedophile.
      He has also dealt with a lot in his own family, like a lot of us and has ptsd being a black man in America and navigating life. All those things weighs down on a person’s soul until it explodes into depression, anxiety or any other mental health issues if not taken care of.

      We need time to mature too but we're forced to grow up to cover men.
