I think Bonghani is Suja are even bigger then Bobcat. Siam is also huge . Bobcat is actually a small male lion . He’s still big tho but not the largest male lion at the sanctuary.

@@corien1980 Yeah, I wouldn't even try. Besides, cats using scratching posts (and trees if they're outdoor cats) to keep their claws in shape. If they're outdoor cats they need their claws to be sharp.

No matter how many times I see it, the interaction these animals have with Kevin, especially the male lions, leaves me in awe. An apex predator that could kill a person in seconds becomes a giant house cat filled with affection, trust, and acceptance.
Can we just talk about how brave you have to be - even with friendly lions - to stick metal pliers into a lion's nose?
I would not even attempt that with my much much smaller cats! 😅

How many people can say, "I am sitting under a tree with my lion pride and pulling ticks from their noses." Only Kevin Richardson! So very cool; the relationship you have with these lovely cats.
I mean!
It's amazing how gentle these guys are with him. They can rub their faces in thorns. But they know that Kevin can't. They are so careful not to hurt his human skin. 💖

@@Clyde-o It really is amazing. Some of my kitties seem to have been born gentle. But some had to learn to be. I can't imagine having a lion cub learn on me like some of my kittens did!
You show them affection and lions 🦁 love showing their type of affection back to you. I think they do answer their names unless you believe it’s the pitch of in the voice. 🙏🏽📖😇
This channel is my calm place. I am sitting outside of a surgery center where my adult daughter (they are always your kids) is having a surgery. It is not a major one but still unnerving for mom to wait outside. Thanks for peace your videos bring!

To be honest, after some weeks of following this channel I still have difficulties to see differences between the (most famous) lions 😬 Hope I will learn to recognise them better

Please don't compare Kevin to Steve Irwin. He spent his whole time antagonizing wild animals. You would never see Kevin doing that.
Whilst in West Africa for ten years I befriended four male lions (brothers) and never at any time did I feel I was in danger. For three days whilst in the Sahel, I had a female hyena hang around and take pigeon breast meat from my hand. She was young and calm natured. It all depends on the honesty in you heart if wild animals are to trust you. I also lived in amongst five packs of wild dogs from the same tribe...for several years and never felt in danger. I am aching to get back there...lucky lucky man.
"Can you feel the love tonight?" Yes, yes I can! What a beautiful relationship you have with each Lion, Leopard and Hyena and the love they give back. It makes me hopeful for the world and all its creatures.
"Hello my boy!" My 3 favorite words. Ever! My sweet sweet boy died a couple of months ago but every time I enter my home I still say those words.

Ya just gotta love the moment that Bobcat "the Real Lion King"!! starts "cooing" and turns to mush when Kevin comes in! Always love these reunions as you can see how much these animals love & miss you Kevin.
I am astonished at how much mutual respect there is between you and all these wonderful animals. The fact you can remove a tick from a Lionesses nose and not have her try and kill you is incredible. I am in awe at the level of trust.. How do you do this??
I am always stunned there are not a million views of each video on this channel. Also I think Kevin is the only one who can casually detick a lion and have one do a sneak attack that doesn't hurt

I volunteered here in 2017 . He was saying how important the volunteers are to helping fund the sanctuary..
Takes around $20k a month to feed the lion, hyenas and leopard unless he gets food donations from adjacent game reserves..

I loved his reunion with Gina most of all! I just love the hyena's. Also love seeing the gorgeous leopard's and their rosettes! He got so many kisses for the treats.
I always imagine when a lion or black leopard are licking Kevin's skin that they're thinking "I like the taste of human but I won't eat this one because he takes care of us".
They would never hurt Kevin or see him as prey. Just like they done hurt each and eat each other in a pride . Kevin is a pride member.

I wish Kevin had more humans like him. His understanding off his pride. Not once is it fame or fortune they are not pets to be shown off it’s all about them being protected loved and we get educated. I just wish that Kevin could be eternally there for them. Maybe someone could be trained by kevin

All the head butts the animals gave in greeting were special. The patience and trust between the lioness (livvy or ginny) and Kevin to pull ticks was amazing to see! I was nervous to see if she'd react haha
I will NEVER in life get used to a person putting their hands in Lion's mouths, like we do our dogs. Quite amazing and terrifying all at once!
