As a 30 yr old guy whos depressed myself i have 3 suggestions. 1. Walk around the block outside while your filming. (It will force you to do 2 things. 1st you will be integrated with society a bit more. Maybe you have yourself isolated. & 2nd it will have you out walking more. 2. Find a job or activity that puts you around people(this will force you to stay looking presentable) 3. And every sunday(or one of your free days) clean your apartment 100% have it looking like your about to have a lady friend or family over. A clean house and clean clothes will make you feel better.
Regarding your third point - I found it much easier and more rewarding to do one small task to keep my home clean every day, rather than letting crap pile up and having to force myself to do it one go. You do at least one productive thing every day this way. I'm also a 30 year old dude, currently breaking free from my learned helplessness.
Man the level of self awareness you have is honestly really inspiring. I was in this state for like 10 years. I feel reluctant to give advice, because you know more about your situation than I do. But just one thing to consider that helped me a lot - don't push yourself too much. The thing is, when you start setting really high goals and berate yourself on what you "should do", then you will just end up paralyzed by the anxiety. The thing that helped me was actually the opposite. Letting go of all the expectations of what it means to "succeed" and just start doing small stuff that you actually enjoy. Like, go for a walk not because "I need to get fit", do it because it genuinely feels good. And just keep going from there.
Brother 6 years ago I was in the same boat as you!!! I was smoking a pack of cigs a day, and a handle of sailor Jerry’s, a handle, not a bottle. I ate like crap, I was always miserable, always felt horrible, I was extremely lethargic. I was up to 255. I was in pain with my stomach it sent me to the hospital with gallbladder problems, ended up having my gallbladder removed with tons of stones. Going to the hospital tomorrow as the best thing I did and you look just like me dude, you should go to the hospital and get a check up and see where they want to go especially if you are in pain! Today I am 6 years sober and I weigh 160 pounds and have kept that weight off this whole time!!! I felt exactly like you dude! You can do this man!!! I’m living proof, plz go to the hospital, and get things checked out dude, in one month you’ll look back and be so happy I promise dude. I’m dying on the inside watching this video, I know you can do it bro!! Don’t worry about money, don’t worry about debt, just worry about your health. Get that ball rolling and you will heal brother!!!!
You gotta go to war with yourself my dude.. start fighting. Choose to do hard and uncomfortable things! Ask for help in getting some fitness ! Reach out to someone bro. Maybe a gym owner.. explain to him your circumstances & just ask for advice.
The desire to change has to be stronger than the desire to stay the same. I am starting some changes and your videos are reminding me that hardships are not only my partakes.
Thank you so much for this video man. I really appreciate it. This helped me in ways I can't describe. I have been at a super low place for a while now and don't know which direction to turn to. Feeling overwhelmed by the people whom I love and love me in my life, by not wanting to dissapoint them... this video helped me get back on the horse again. Thank you Deo.
I just went back through your journey to find this, I have to admit I didn't understand what the conversion of Lbs. to Kg was. Hot damn. You're an absolute legend for waking yourself up and attacking things head on. Cheers from Canada, one day at a time
Exercise daily in your free time, use moments between videos or games to hit some squats, push ups, jumping jacks, arm circles. Anything to keep you moving. Work into a calorie deficit. Eat filling nutritional foods like sauteed vegetables and chicken breast. Keep care of your personal hygiene. Get up, shower, shave, oral care, and get dressed. Even if your not going out make it a point to care for yourself each day no matter what. Stay hydrated and get your daily water intake each day. Keep a schedule and routine. Start and end your day at the same times, the regularity will help build structure to your days, and make following a plan easier. Finally, remember all good things take time, it wont happen in a day or a week but in a year you will be so much further than you could ever imagine.
if you can achieve one thing a week make it doing the garbage, when you achieve that you can try doing 2 goals in a week and so on. be patient with yourself, you are the only one who puts pressure on yourself and when you do that and expect too much from yourself and when you fail it feels like that mountain just grew another 1000ft taller. if you believe you are at the bottom of the pit, you cant go any lower. you are obviously intelligent you are so self aware please value yourself more and take pride of whatever achievement even if it just is taking out the trash.
You have my Sympathys my Friend. You are what I will be like, when I'm You're Age. I'm 21 now but I don't care much about myself either. I wish you best of Luck, my Brother
Try eating one time a day. Intermittent fasting saved me. Gives you more freedom to eat what you want within that meal as well If you do eat healthy plus intermittent fast. You’ll shred weight Start with an 8 hour fast a day, push to 16. Push it to 20. Push past the societal norms. Ppl will tell u it’s unhealthy. I beg to differ. Never been in better shape personally
Yeah, I feel ya.. shit just sucks man. Been sucking for the last 5 years more or less.. Now i'm 33.. But still.. gotta fight our battles every day, cause what else is there right? Stay frosty, somehow.
Hey Jerry here checking in from West Texas man this resonated with me on a deep level um quick toxic question Have u ever thought about trying crystal methamphetamine not going to make it sound nice at all but honestly it's what I want to suggest it to you if that's okay buddy and it what keeps me going I've dealt with so much low vibration existence since very young age if there's one regret I have is I would have started using younger
listen man its not too late for you to change and do better. Start off small and work your way up everyday. Take things on a day by day basis so you dont overwhelm yourself. you will have to take care of your outer health but more importantly heal inside. You need to support yourself all the way because our biggest enemy is ourself but they can also be our biggest ally. take care of your hair and beard so you can be proud to be a handsome young man. Being able to be proud of who you see in the mirror is a really good thing for your mental health. do research on good eating habits. there is no such thing as going on a diet its bullshit. Eating good is a lifestyle choice not a routine that you stop doing after a couple weeks or months. Start eating more fruit/vegetables wherever possible, stop drinking soda and energy drinks. Drink organic juices and most importantly more water. Stop eating greasy food drenched in oil eat more fresh foods. control yourself and eat smaller portions that align with your height and weight. quit smoking. distract yourself with hobbies and start exercising more. you cant sit there doing nothing your brain will make you go back to unhealthy addictions you have to distract it. its not too late for you. you just need to be strong
Bro just buy a bicycle and start going the fuck everywhere. Like challenge yourself to the point of exhaustion. Volunteer at an old folks home, they’re lonely people and you will get an appreciation for life. Give your time to help other in turn helping yourself. Read too, smoke weed, listen to music, get a shitty job save some cash and go on a trip. Learn a foreign language and move out of the US. Ignite an adventurous spirit and add tinder and let the flame of life consume you. Rage against the darkness. Enjoy that you are alive, literally take a stroll in nature and enjoy the flowers, the gift of life and know that there people born without legs, some without eyes, and some without a home. Give thanks to the positive energy. I care, you got this. Reach out whenever.

Stare at the wall for 5 minutes or 20 minutes. No phone, no tv on, no music. Just sit with yourself for a few minutes and feel whatever
Not the worst decision.. you realise how long you’ve spent distracting yourself and how much constructive inner dialogue you suppress…
