One of the greatest comedians/entertainers this country has ever produced. A multi-talented genius with not a single swear word in sight. Love his ventriloquist act with one of the Diddy Men....priceless. A beautiful singing voice too. RIP to one of the true greats in entertainment.
I remember seeing Ken Dodd live at the Futurist Theatre in Scarborough in the 1960s. There were two houses, an early one that I went to with my parents and younger brother and sister, and a later one. He practically had to be dragged off stage after the first show overran by quite some time. I remember leaving the theatre to see the audience for the second house queuing down the street. I've no idea what time he let them leave. It's a regret of mine that I never went to see him perform live again. A comic genius and a complete one-off.
Ken was the man simple as that. He was a comedy legend, saw him live three times and I still don't understand how he had the energy to deliver non stop for hours. We are a poorer nation without Ken , he was irreplaceable. God bless him.
The funniest man in the world; l can watch him over and over, absolutely brilliant a joy to watch, .my Chuckle Muscle works overtime when Doddy is on, bless him!
Fascinating insight into Doddy's mind when he openly admits 'this is difficult - on one hand I'm trying to answer you with a sensible remark, on the other hand the brain, the computer, takes over and you're trying to think of the funny ones'. 6:44 when Parkinson throws his script away is priceless.
I watched that first Parky interview and as a result bought a ticket to see him at the Palladium. Fortunately, I lived within walking distance, because the last bus home had long gone before he got off the stage. But my, oh my what a legend!
It was 1966. I was watching Ken at the palladium, on tv. His jokes were too fast for me. So i tried to catch one. Once i achieved that, he had me in stitches for the rest of his performance. Ken was right about chuckle muscles. I laughed so much, it hurt. Only Ken Dodd had that affect on me.
Ken spent most of his life making hundreds of thousands of people happy. How many religious or.political leaders can say the same. His last joke was to get married and cheat the taxman. God bless him.
Sadly I never saw him live here in Liverpool, I watched again & again his interview with the Beatles & it still makes me laugh. God must have thanked him for the work he did down here. All the miserable people nowadays because of the woke brigade.
Our nearer mammal cousins clearly have a sense of fun, but Ken Dodd once pointed out that we're the only creatures in the known universe with a sense of humour. I hadn't thought of that.
Not only did he play hundreds of British theatres. He packed them all to the rafters. I saw him at Harrogate theatre. His show was announced on local radio on the Monday at 10am. By 2pm it was sold out. I have never laughed so much before. Or since.
No filth, good clean jokes.
Ken Dodd an absolute one off, a true comedy genius and Legend and sadly missed 😢
All respects are dued to Ken Dodd. I really really miss you.
I had the pleasure of seeing Ken 3 times live. He was absolutely brilliant on each occasion, a true STAR.

a master of his trade and from what I have read about Ken, a really nice bloke. There will never be another Doddy
Who else could deliver the Cornish Floral Song with such energy and comic timing? Only Doddy!

A unique one of total comedy class of his own.
Ken spent most of his life making hundreds of thousands of people happy. How many religious or.political leaders can say the same. His last joke was to get married and cheat the taxman. God bless him.
I bet he is funny in heaven now
Parkinson was struggling to keep it together its hilarious.
A talented and quick witted comedian who could do a routine for hours without a single repeat of jokes.
I miss the days with the likes of Ken Dodd, I laughed all through this and not many comedians make you proper laugh these days
💜🌹 THE squire of knotty ash 🏡..SIR Kenneth Arthur Dodd 1927~2018 AGE 90.. BUT had a very young spirit AND outlook ON life did DODDY 💯🎶~
😃happiness😃
Talent, pure talent. Todays comedians are so limited in comparison, they get to the 'top' then stop evolving their act.
genius !!
Knotty Ash is in Liverpool

Went to see him live- very disappointed in poor delivery and infantile topics and delivery.
