That 12 days of Christmas is one of the funniest comedic songs I've heard. (Jasper Carrot has sang a few, Billy Connolly had a lot, Hale and Pace a couple, Bill Bailey is an excellent musical comedian... but that 12 days was perfect)
I never did see much of JC But one thing I saw has stayed with me forever . I think he was in his own sitcom or something i the 70s . Anyway he was on the telly at the doctors getting stiches on his head for something They had given him a freezing injection so that they could do the stiches and somewhere along the line they sewed a gonk to his head A gonk was a wee rubber troll beastie with long coloured hair and you'd stick them on the end of a pencil . So for the rest of the show he went around with this gonk sewed to his head . It was pretty funny
holy hell i remember this. i must have been about 13 & thought it was great. i guess by then billy connelly had opened up the idea of story teller comics
@@MarkPMus Ha ! my fave joke was when he rented a room at Butlins there was a loud knock on his door & a shout OI ! you got any women ih there ?? no he replied then they said hang on mate we'll get ya some.
whatever happened to jasper carrot, the funniest person that ever lived? oh yeah he was involved with setting up the who wants to be a multimillionaire programme and made millions, and went to live with the peas and potatoes in bliss.
i used to like that haley out of the archers innit... now she gone adn i wouldn't mind betting that kersty go soon too ha btw he reel name not carrot but aksherlly parsnip hahahahaha
It was better than most of the crap that passed for comedy in the 70’s and early 80’s. It took The Young Ones and The Comic Strip to bring actual funny comedy into fashion. To be fair on Jasper he got better during the 80’s.
Jasper Carrott has always been my favourite comedian. He is a comedy genius.
Comedy genius? Never found him remotely funny at all!!!!!!!!
So, why were you watching or listening?
Jasper, a fantastic comedian, my comic hero of all time 😁👍🙌🙌🙌

Love Jasper. Still listen to him now on a long car journey, love his nutter on the bus routine 🤣
A comic masterclass. Only Jasper could come up with a mini routine about BBC Pebble Mill on his first outing on ITV!
THERE’S ONLY 1 JASPER CARROT ONLY ONE JASPER CARROT!
Carrots as I knew him when he came to Scouts back in the 60's was a natural comic even then, so much fun!
Great stuff, brilliant comedian.

Absolutely brilliant, the original alternative comedian
Wow, remember this from my childhood
A blast from the past brillaint
I remember watching him in Hong Kong in the 80s, he had us falling in aisles …. the local staff hadn’t a clue what was going on.
Ian Brown would pay a fortune for that jacket🤣
How similar Jasper and Billy Connolly were in the way they started out.
We all miss his comedy .
The best 👌
When I watched Star Wars in Birmingham in 1978 I believe that Jasper Carrot was in the queue behind me.

The show is called The detectives. Hilarious!
"Do Jasper Carrott wanna play Scunthorpe baths?"
I'll drink Scunthorpe Baths for £300!
During the early '80s I saw Jasper Carrot live, on acid.
He was very good.
Jasper Carrot was on acid?
who was on acid you or him?
You or JC on acid? Either seem a hot ticket
I thought he was going to say, “Five baby sharks!” 😂
I loved watching him in the 80s as a teen but never seen him with a mop 😂😂😂

His long lost twin lol
That has to be some of the most confusing shit I've ever listened to? Is this comedy or a breakdown?

Outdated crap!!!!!!
A Woke dope wouldn't find this amusing , especially the Zulu gags,
