    Would love to see a bit more detail covered in the "training" video. Please extend to provide steps for setting the correct steps and saving this to the controller for each type of rotary. The easy part is plugin it in.

    I would like to buy a rotary and have now looked at what could fit. I saw in the description of OMtech's 4-WHEEL ROTARY that it is suitable for the following stepper drivers.
    DM542 and DM556 (2-phase)
    But this stepper driver is installed in my OMtech 60W laser
    DM545A
    Can I use this rotary?

    I have you 50W laser and I purchased the cylindrical style rotary. When I was finished with the rotary, I connected my Y axis again the system does not recognize the limits and it moves extremely fast now. How do I fix this and get back to flat engraving?

    I have your 80w co2 cabinet laser. I just bought the 3rd type rotary from you that you show in this video. It doesn't fit inside the machine. I lowered the Z axis all the way down and took the bed out of the machine. The laser head will hit the rotary so my question is, what is the work around? How do you make this rotary work with this machine the way it's supposed to?

      yes it is possible... take the deck out, and the bottom tray from under, get 2x4s cut to width of machine and set under the feet, unscrew the feet and raise up a little more and the rotary will fit inside the hole on the bottom of the machine

    I have a rotary device from another machine I want to use on my OMTECH 150w. it has a different plug so for wiring do you have any type of pinout or diagram and is there any other special configuration in lightburn I might need to change?
    do the steppers on the 150W machine run at 24v or 48v?

    • @omtechlaser
      @omtechlaser  2 роки тому

      Hey Shaun, great question!
      Our machines utilize aviation plugs for rotary attachments. You will need to disconnect the Y axis aviation plug from the machine chassis and plug your rotary into it. It is a 4 pin plug that is wired to the driver in this configuration: 1-A+, 2-A-, 3-B-, 4-B+
      You will also need to find out what lead represents which direction so you can pair them up correctly.

    did ou mean Z axis and not Y axis on the plug connection? Are you able to lower the bed further once you disconnect the cabe?

    • @omtechlaser
      @omtechlaser  3 роки тому

      Hey there, great questions!! To confirm, the plug connection controls the Y-Axis. When the machine powers on, all of the motors will lock up; therefore, you cannot move the bed manually. For further assistance, feel free to reach our Technical Support Team at omtechlaser.com/pages/contact-us

      The model might be similar externally, but we build our machines with the most up-to-date parts and features. Additionally, we provide a lifetime of customer and technical support to each customer, a 2 year warranty on machines, and free shipping/lift gate service for orders. At 1:50 Re: "once you connect your rotary device you will not be able to move your laser up or down." Shouldn't you have said "backward and forward along the Y axis?" The Y axis does not control "up and down." That's the Z axis, and you certainly should be able to move the laser head up and down while the rotary tool is attached.

    • @omtechlaser
      @omtechlaser  2 роки тому +2
