IOS 14: How To Fix Facebook Ad Results - Campaign Level Metrics Not Showing Up
Вставка
- Опубліковано 22 січ 2021
- Hey everyone, Facebook ad results not showing on your campaign level? Facebook updated their default attribution from 28-day click and 1-day view to 7-day click. All campaigns created before Jan 19th will most likely have been set to 28-day click and 1-day. So now if you create any new campaigns they are automatically set to 7-day click after IOS14 which has a conflicting attribution window with your old campaigns. Therefore you are not seeing your results total up on your campaign level.
To see those metrics on the campaign level you will need to make all your ad sets in a campaign have the same attribution window. Keep in mind results will be skewed because facebook will no longer be holding any data outside that 7 day attribution window anymore.
This means if you decide to switch old campaigns to the new attribution window of 7-day click you will likely see a portion of your results disappear in your ad account. So please proceed with caution.

Please keep in mind if you change your attribution window from 28-day click to 7-day click or if you turn on and off old campaigns you are potentially going to see a decrease in your results and data because it will remove any results attributed outside your new window.
helped a lot!! thank you so much
@chase Chappell Hi thank you so much for you great information. I have question for you. When an adset gets the 50 sales and exits the learning phase, does this impact the pixel? Does the pixel get smarter overall when this happens if you are using the exact same ad in all adsets? Thank you :)
It gets more consistent. Typically by 10%-20%.
Hi chase do you suggest still 7 day after click Vs 1 day click for purchase event sometime I get sales on the 7th day and some times on the 1 first day
Yes 7 day click is best. It will help you exit learning faster.
Hi Chase, quick question for you. For products under
Once the actual official change happens with iOS 14 you will be forced onto 7day click. So you might as well start using that window now so you can optimize that window to make it an efficient campaign.
@@ChaseChappell thanks Chase! So we won’t be even able to setup 1d click anymore, only 7d click in the ad set settings?
That’s correct. Once they make the official change.
@@ChaseChappell Ok, so basically would you say to just switch all TOF, MOF, BOF campaigns (both cbo and abo) to 7d click now?
@@alexanderrankin4097 If you want your metrics to show at the bottom of the tables then that would be how you'd do it. Keep in mind anytime you adjust something it can affect performance.
Thanks Chase!
My Pleasure!
for instance, I have my ads optimized, it's active and not learning. Does it still reset it to learning even though learning is finished?
Thanks for sharing Chase. In my case, I turned on the ad sets that were off for a few moments and they got migrated into the new attribution setting (7 days). after that, I turned off the ad sets again.
Perfect!
Still not working I'm running whatsapp conversion Ad and also I can't see attribute setting in the 'Ad set' Level which inside the Ad setup there is not option like attribute setting :(....what do i do now?
Thanks Chase
No problem!
hi thanks for this. Do i need to do this for new ads?
No
Should we take risk of switching off the campaign and then resume ? arent they one of the bad practices as we lost the reach of the campaign.. this is my personal experience too.
any one can give me is the same problem i deleted all my campaign and problem not solved but in the app of meta ads in android is showing me the result and not in chroom
hey please need help. i have try this but it does not fix my issue. i can not see the result of any of my campaign.
Thanks. Is this because of the update or just happens in general?
Ios 14 update
I have a problem. So I have been creating campaigns, ad sets, and ads for a little while but... The thing is, everytime I see new results, most results are there like landing page views, link clicks, etc. are there but there are always no add to carts, initiate checkouts, or purchases, and the results somehow only show up on the custom conversion events of them like my custom conversions of add to carts has results but no normal add to carts has any results showing up. Do you know what is causing this issue?
Try opening your columns and see if the attribution windows line up. If they do, then you need to go into your pixel and click on 'aggregate event measurement' to setup your top 8 events so you can start tracking them in your ads manager.
Hello Chase! Thanks for this content. I have an issue. Since Facebook updates these last few days I can't see any metric. Everything is gone... No VC, ATC, IC, PUR, etc. The only metrics that I can see are Cpc and ROAS... Do you know anything about this or how to fix it?
It's likely due to the attribution windows not being setup all the same. Try opening your columns and see if the attribution windows line up. If they do then you need to get into the pixel and click on aggregate event measurement to setup your top 8 events so you can start tracking them.
This happened to me as well. I reached out to Facebook but they haven't replied. Were you able to fix it?
@@kadishagordon5260 Nop :(
@@ChaseChappell hey man chase I’ve got aggregated event setup, domain verified and even connected Shopify integration for conversion api and we’ve got like 80% missing events even though under events manager pixel is firing correctly. Are u guys experiencing the same any fix around this man?
If an ad has been rejected even after 2nd review is it best to delete it from your ads manager? I have an ad that I was running for 4 months that recently got rejected it was used in over 50 adsets over these 4 months. Now i have 50 rejected ads on my account history.
Yea get all ur rejected ads remove, you don’t wanna keep them
Yes, remove if they get rejected multiple times. You need to keep your rejected ad ratio low.
My metrics shows, excpet for my audience statistics. It wont show me age, location, ect... should i do this to fix it, or is it a different issue?
It's because Facebook is pulling away these data points on the granular level. But to see if you still have access you can try adjusting your attribution setting view in the filter settings to see if it shows the data.
Are you able to run Facebook ads efficiently on iPad Air 4 ?
I wouldn’t say so. Best to do it on a computer so you can access all available tools.
I have a question with the attribution setting in reporting now. I used to just go by the total purchases but now I am confused because the click attribution says 94 purchases but view says 149. SO which one do I go by to know what the success is? Like which is the better to report on?
Go based off click since that is what facebook will be reporting moving forward.
Then keep an eye out for our software Sirge.io that will be available April 1st. Going to solve a lot of these tracking issues with facebook and other marketing channels
@@ChaseChappell Thank you!!!
@@nataliefaulkner8639 My pleasure!
Don't you think that would affect the adsets performance?
It’s not considered a significant edit unless off for more than 24hrs.
Why did she off that one specific adset again after reseting the whole adset??
You're literally the go to guy - Can you PLEEEEEAAAAAASSEEE make a video on domain verification. Running client ads using my own business manager and ad account and now im worried that this domain verification is going to mess up a lot of things. do they verify their domain from their side or do i verify multiple domains in my business manager. whichever ones im using. including domains that i make for landing pages etc
I’ll get on this for you! 🎥
@@ChaseChappell appreciate it big time man thanks. Literally nobody's talking about this! ❤
@@JackTheStrippa I appreciate that! Thank you! :)
@@ChaseChappell You never made the video lol
@@JackTheStrippa Have it on some to-do's for you.
Hi, I don't know why there is no data or metrics on my fb ads even though they are active.
Check to make sure all your attribution windows are the same in your ad account and sign up for sirge io
Shoud I add manually the events for the pixel or ?
What site platform are you using?
Shopify, if I get your question right
No need to add manual events. Turn on the conversion api with Shopify. Shopify will handle it for you.
What do I do if there are no metrics showing on ad, ad set nor campaign level?
Did you check your attribution settings?
I do what you instructed but still, I don't see changes in column RESULTS
Add the column "attribution" then see if they all match within that campaign.
Hey data is still not showing in my Ad campaign. Can anyone help me i have tried everything?
Did you check your attribution windows to make sure they are all the same? If yes, did you check to make sure all your conversion optimization events are all the same? If yes, did you check the deleted audiences as well?
This will fix it. Just make sure to double check all of these. :)
@@ChaseChappell hey there, thanks for the help, what do you mean by this? How do I check it?
Sorry Chase, but reseting on the campaing level is a really bad idea! because it will reset the learning process and all the deta collected will be lost!
The right solution is actually going into the ad set level and do ONLY this:
turn on the ad sets that are off, and then turn them off again - and that should do the trick! 😊
That's correct. I've acknowledged the downsides to doing this. But if you want your results to show on the campaign level this would be the solution.
It doesnt work for me, what should i do?
You might have ad sets turned off that you haven't used in awhile. Make sure to do the same thing to those ad sets as well.
Why data didn't show on my ads ???
check your attribution column to make sure they all match.
Doesnt work for me...
Add a column called “attribution settings” then make sure all of the ad sets match the same window. 😄
@@ChaseChappell Same here. Didn't work. The old attribution window are from turned off / old campaigns.. ?
@@siljestorgaard5256 Even if they are turned off they still need to be edited to match active campaigns as well. If you want the metrics to populate at the bottom.
I tried that, but the average ROAS at the campaign level is still not showing.
Same for me - and it doens't show average purchase conversion total either
Add a column called “attribution settings” then make sure all of the ad sets match the same window. 😄
@@ChaseChappell You're a genius. The numbers are showing back up. Thanks!
@@ChaseChappell Not working for me. Did everything still no results
@@harshruia2 Open a column that says attribution window to double check all the attribution windows are the same. If they are not then make them all the same and your metrics will show up.
