I don’t see how. It’s literally OW in third person POV. And to be honest, it looks clunky to me, granted it’s just beta, but when OW1 beta first came out, the smoothness of the game was close to where it is today. One thing MR had going for it is that it’s fresh and no one has figured out the meta to the smallest details, so it’ll be fun for a few months, maybe 6 at the most, but after that, people will realize how hard it is to do a game like OW as well as they have, and they’ll come flawking back home. The grass isn’t always greener on the other side.

Rivals will need role queue. At least some form of it of course. Once the Overwatch believers flock to this game, you will wish it was here. Once the meta becomes Goats or Quad tank. Plus 5 dps won't be the best. Then again, the ranking system in Overwatch is a joke. This already has a better system in beta. So hopefully we never see comps like that at the high level of play.
If they don't do role Q They'll probably try buffing those Tag Team combos and include DPS picks in those for easy value.
@@kellywilson137 That is true. I agree with Sam as well when he says they don't need to do Role Queue. That they can just balance the game well where those compositions aren't that strong. By why take on a longer more challenging route, when you have an easier design, that has proven to work?
@@laughingnotlooking Well it just looks like they want to poach the people not satisfied with OW2.
Making OW2 again isn't going to do it if that is their target audience.
It will interesting to see how the devs play their hand when release comes thats for sure.
The problem is Sam's only really saying he doesn't want role queue because he fears it'll inevitably lead to 5v5 and the problems OW2 has. Which I don't think makes much sense. You can have role queue and also work to make the population of each role similar by working to make each fun and have new content. I think role queue is a net benefit to these sorts of games, though.
