And just like Laurel & Hardy, Charlie Chaplin, and others, Peter Sellers has become an immortal Legend of Comedy. His name is among the greatest comedians ever and his style and characters are his alone. Forever grateful. Fondly remembered, dearly missed.

"The Party" among so many other movies. "Being There" is so memorable and I quote: "All I have is the room upstairs!" was in fact true but being different was his strenght but to some his weakness as well. To me he is remembered as one of the best characters so not merely as an actor only. Actually, I've never realized who he was... Genius I think. Got so many great memories of him. Not referring to laughter but to his image he could not live up to. If that's a sign of mental illness: I truly appreciate that. Then again he was a mystery to us all - even to himself...❤

Return of the Pink Panther is my personal favorite. The scenes between Clouseau and his manservant Cato are hilarious.

I never miss a chance to watch a Peter Seller's film if it's on television. I like The World of Henry Orient and all the Pink Panther movies he's in.

I loved all the things he did he was so good at it. One more comedian and good actor is gonna be really missed. I hope his family is going to be in peace with each other and remember They're dead. He's up in heaven with his mother and father now. With my blessings and love to the family. From. I remember reading a story about the time he was having dinner at a restaurant with some friends. The conversation had led to the topic of self responsibility towards taking illegal drugs. There was a difference of opinion and Peter started to choke his friend. The others thought it was just him being funny but it became very real, and he was really strangling his friend, saying your wrong doctor, your fu*king wrong! When it was discovered he wasn't kidding, he had to be restrained where he broke down sobbing. I also remember reading that he was very loney so his friend had set him up with the newly divorced from Frank Sinatra, Mia Farrow. He definitely had a screw loose somewhere. RIP Peter.

Sadly missed, I was 15 years old and raised on the Pink Panther movies in the 70's having gone with my mom to see all of them from that era in the theater and was just crushed when he died, later in life i came to understand that he caused a considerable amount of pain in the lives of the people around him, especially his kids but still he'll always be that comedic genius I saw in screen in those movies, they're nothing short of immortal to people my age.

I saw every movie that Peter Sellers had done, so I can't pick a favorite character, but I enjoyed the movies I did see. He was one of the greats. As far as his sanity goes? Everyone is insane, some more than others, some in different ways. We all suffer in a world that is addicted to power and riches, and we have to harm each other to get it. But we can't keep any of it. The Bible refers to this as "the chasing after the wind." But the Bible also talks about a day when "all of the tears will wiped away and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore." Jehovah God and Jesus Christ will do away with all of it, and people will live forever in real peace. Until then? Remember that everyone is in the same boat that is sinking, bailing out the water. I personally thank Peter Sellers, Robin Williams, Monty Python crew, and the other insane people who made my life bearable. Including Jehovah God and Jesus Christ, who were not insane but give hope to the human race.

The proposed last movie “Romance of the Pink Panther” was being done by largely by Sellers as there was a falling out with director Blake Edwards. The plot was that Clouseau would fall in love with a French woman he called “Ze Frooog” who of course turns out to be the criminal he’s hunting.

Perhaps it was fate that Peter Ustinov dropped out of the original Pink Panther movie because as good an actor as he was, he just wouldn't have been as funny as Peter Sellers was as Clouseau. Sometimes things are meant to be.....
