Hi, I’m watching your videos on the Jet 260 as my out feed table is lower than my cutting block. How this happened I don’t know. Having stripped my machine ( nothing like your efforts) I cannot find an adjustment to raise the outfeed table or as an alternative lower the cutting head. I was hoping for a point in the right direction but also to ask where you got the schematic diagram as I’ve searched the internet and all I can find is the standard user manual. Sorry for asking but I can’t use my machine any more as I’m getting bad snipes at the end of each surfacing. Many thanks
Hi, strange that the outfeed is too low. Can you not adjust the blades lower in the cutter head so you don't get snipe? There's no adjustment in the cutter head height but you could shim if the outfeed table if necessary. If you go onto the about page for my channel you should see a button that will reveal an email address. If you send me an email I'll send you the diagrams I have for the machine.
hi Graham, i was looking for outfeed roller replacement and found your video. thank you for it. it will help a lot. Could you let me know where did you find the spare parts and the other brand using this machine? thank you for your help
Hi Graham, I have just found your channel. First that was a great video. Like yourself have purchased a second hand jet 260, so looked in horror at steel on steel bearings, I immediately went to look atmy machine to lubricate that area, to my surprise the steel bushes have been replaced with what looks like phosphor bronze fittings. As I understand it these machines are made in china and soldunder various brand names, I wonder how many more owners have had the same problem. On another subject, as you are now very familiar with this machine what is your opinion about updatingto shelix head .
Hi, I was quite surprised when I got the replacement parts for mine that the new bearings weren't phosphor bronze so I wonder if whoever owned your machine before had some custom made. As far as I'm aware you are correct in thinking that this machine is sold under various brands, I found several machines that were essentially identical when looking for the manual for mine. I looked into fitting a shelix (or similar) cutter block but I couldn't justify the cost. From what I've read they are fantastic though so maybe it's worth the upgrade. While I might not have upgraded to a fancy cutter head I did splash out on some carbide knives and they are brilliant, no way I'll go back to HSS knives.
I've just seen this video come up in my feed and thought you might be interested (I've not watched it yet): ua-cam.com/video/bAVXiRcrJxg/v-deo.html This kid is interesting to watch, he's not made many videos recently but they are always interesting when he does.
Dear graham, thanks for the very detailed video. I am much more confident now!

Could you let me know where did you find the spare parts and the other brand using this machine? thank you for your help
Hi, I got them from a company called Axminster. I got the impression they were fairly easy for equipment sellers to get though
@@WobblycogsUk hi
Thank you, I tried to find spares on their website but can't find anything.
