Like you said Lauren it took 10 years to get your Victorian Home to were you wanted it.I think our homes are ever changing as our lives change.Your soup looked amazing
Good morning from Georgia! We love Sunday too! My husband is a Clemson grad so Saturday is College Football Day. I am a private school grad so Clemson it is lol. We are Jacksonville fans and root for Trevor and his team!! Go underdogs!!!!!! Love that he is a good Christian boy! Love this community.....positive, fun and encouraging! Thanks for all that you do Lauren, we know it is a lot of work.
We have been in our house a little over a year. We had to live in our home a bit to figure out what needed to change to fit our family best. Some projects like painting are easier to decide but definitely take the time to see how you can best make your home work for you. It’s a crazy journey and I wish you the best! I love your style and can’t wait to see how you transform your home if/when you decide to do so. ❤
Fall Sunday afternoons and football games are just heaven sent! Watching from MA so we had the greatest privilege of cheering on TB12 for 20 years.. what a time to be alive ❤️
Renovations are overwhelming. What I like to do is ask myself what did I like/enjoy about the other home that could be incorporated into this home? What don't I like about this home and why? How can I change it to what I will love? Ask your children, what things they might like to see changed to benefit them and give them a sense of say. Once you embrace that this house is not a Victorian and love it for what it truly is, I'm sure your visions for renovations will become clearer. The great thing is, with your husband being the architect if you both see something that just isn't working, as things are being done, you change it. Sometimes we can drive ours crazy thinking too much. Whatever you decide on as a family, I know will turn out beautifully. ❤
Have you ever thought about creating a wonderful dining room instead of the living room you have in the kitchen...? And then create a small relaxation area in the corner where you have the round dining table, to make aperitifs, liquor trolley etc? In such a way as to have a wonderful living room, in the entrance area.. living room that will become even more beautiful and spacious once you redo the floors and you will not be forced to follow the lines of the carpet.. And a wonderful separate area for everything else.. imagine a nice dinner, with the relaxation corner as an aperitif area.. The kitchen, full of food, with the island as a buffet area, an important decorated dining table and with the warmth of the fireplace as a backdrop... I find it a very beautiful idea, and I think that with your style you would make it magical , elegant and welcoming... I have been following you with affection for years, kisses from Italy
Don't rush into anything. Your old house is fabulous, look at what you loved there and copy it into the new one and improve it and then it will flow but take your time.
From New England, so Patriots. Husband was born in San Fran so we’re also a 49’ers household. And Detroit lions is where his grandparents are from so always supporting them. And I just enjoy watching Baltimore as well.
Lauren, As always, I am in awe of your organization skills😁. That soup looked amazing!!! Yum❤. Always look forward to seeing you and your videos.🙏🏻. And as always, continued prayers for your sweet Chewy boy and the chickens and the kitties❤
I really love how you set up the corner of your kitchen with seasonal pastries. I’m in a desperate need to restock my pantry, freezer, and fridge. I will be watching this again tomorrow after I go grocery shopping to keep me motivated to put things away properly. One of my favorite fall dinner recipes is Creamy Roasted Butternut Squash Pasta with Sausage and Spinach. I use ground turkey sausage. Also love stuffed Acorn Squash. So delicious! The dinner you shared looks so delicious as well.
I use a little baking soda in the water when I wash fruits and veggies. I noticed it really boosts up the cleaning of any residue, but keeps it super simple when you're just trying to get it all done and put away!
OMG I just ❤Love American fridges. Makes ours in 🇬🇧 like a little cool box😂. Loving your energy. Phew I got to go lie down just watching you re-stock and organising your kitchen 🤣. Sending love as usual from Rosie O from Devon England 💐🤗x
You’re a great cook and your presentation is everything! Totally agree about washing fruits and veggies. I actually soak mine in baking soda and the dirt that’s in the water is unbelievable. Rinsing is not sufficient!
Your home is beautiful Lauren! The special touches & decor that you’ve given it thus far represent you & your family. You are an amazing wife and mother + an inspiring woman. Your dish looks so delicious - yum! I love the presentation for all your meals. You always make them look even more appetizing with the fancy restaurant presentation style. Your family is VERY lucky to have you AND that you make time to prepare home-made meals.
Lauren everything will come together. Moving is so stressful an you've been in a beautiful home now for a year. I agree with a few comments, the house will show you what it needs. Your garden is so awesome. Yes it will be sad when you change food, but on a good note, you can actually eat 365 days a year with all year round garden. I live in arkansas an we have to start our gardens from February March till the end of August. Our weather is so different. Lol we get 4 seasons in 1 day. Thank you for the inspiring videos. Love them cant wait for more.
If we could custom build a house for our needs it would be ideal. We built a new home at one point in our lives but I found it lacking in so many ways. Now I am a widow. I would love a cute little home in a quiet setting in the woods. I don't think that will ever happen. So I just go on and enjoy what I have each day. Certain things become less important as we get older. It is nice to have what we need at the time it is important to us. Hope you enjoy your home. You seem to know what is best for you and your family. You are an amazing mom.
We are currently doing our 2nd remodel on our house. It has been almost 25 years since the first one so it is definitely time. We are doing one room at a time so it isn't so overwhelming. Things we did years ago worked at the time, but now our lives are different and we just needed to do some adjusting to fit our current needs and hopefully it will last us for quite awhile. I wanted to make sure we didn't do any trendy updates, just keeping it traditional and timeless. My decor items can be trendy if I want. I have spent many hours in the evenings looking online at all the wonderful ideas the web has to offer. LOL I can't wait to see your updates when you get started. I absolutely love seeing before and afters. Have a great weekend!
I love all of your tips on organizing. I have one for you! If you put your parsley in a salad spinner after you wash it and get it good and dry before you store, it will be fresh for about 2-3 weeks! Although, it just my husband and I, with your big family, it might be gone in 2 days, LOL! I am looking forward to seeing what plans you have for this house. 😊
I really love watching your videos. They get me motivated to get up off the couch and off my phone to clean, decorate, or even start that new craft I’ve been wanting to make.
I think once you redo your floors with hardwood, you will feel so much better about this home. I loved your Victorian home too but also see the potential in this space. I would do the floors and then take it from there.
Having a beautiful home is great, overdoing it is luxury and hobby, but all of that will never define home to me. Home is where my loved ones are. People have been staying in tents and huts for millions of years and it was just as fine. ❤
This ,is my first time watching your video I like the you reorganize your refrigerator and pantry so clean and for getting the way you want it will take time. but you an your Husband will have just the way you like it and like the way if God's willing I am looking forward to your. Next video and remember God's glory is always morning glory stay safe
It's tough when you aren't really sure what you want to do. There are so many things that come in to play like space, cost, availability, etc. It's hard when you like more than one style too. Sometimes for us personally we just wait until something really gels first. We're in the same predicament now where there are a ton of options, a zillion moving parts of pro's / con's for each one. When you're talking about major renovations it gets even harder because you don't want to get flooring laid and then end up moving a wall for example. It has to go in a certain order. I guess I'd just start with the bones of the house and then the other stuff might come together easier. Not that that is an easy task either.
Your Victorian had an earthquake? I'm sorry to hear that, it must have been terrifying. You and hubby did an amazing job putting her back together, never would have guessed! Talk about seamless, wow. That would be an interesting tidbit for a storytime vlog with before and afters ❤
My favorite fall recipes include apples, cinnamon, sweet potatoes, sausage and kale... very flavorful, very savory. I can't give you ideas because I get my ideas from you, but I hope you find something awesome with sweet potatoes. I love them but I don't know what to do with them.
Love your big pantry and your big refrigerator! Your home is so beautiful! We go to church twice on Sunday so we don’t do much of anything else God bless! Not really a fan of football

I love football! We live in Houston, tx but we are from the Dallas area. So we grew up watching the Dallas Cowboys. We are still Cowboy fans. but our favorite baseball team is the Astros!
Great video to welcome October 🍁🍂 This fall I have a bucket list of trying & comparing Pumpkin Spice drinks in comparison to Starbucks. Later in the season, I hope to visit a corn maze! So far we harvested our rhubarb and made a rhubarb apple crisp. This coming week we’ll make our first pie crust from scratch and make a pumpkin pie 🥧 Eventually, I hope to make a butternut squash soup. Today while cleaning for my week reset I have chilli going in the slow cooker for entertaining company 😊 Love the autumn inspiration, Lauren!! ❤
Love your videos! I live in Monterey County, California. But I’m originally from San Antonio Tx. I’m a die hard Dallas Cowboys fan. Have a blessed fall
I love you videos!! Just made a salmon recipe of yours oh my goodness it was delicious! Thanks for sharing all your homemaking goodies!!! I’m curious…. Who are people you like to watch on UA-cam?! Looking for more people your style it’s so refreshing as a stay at home mom and homemaker to see homemaking done so beautifully!!! ❤️
Beautiful video Lauren.👌 Yes Autumn 🍂is coming upon us. Please check out a good old herb dumpling lamb or beef casserole with root vegetables, served with fluffy mash potatoes with green sides, sprouts or peas. Mmm it's my go to on a cooler supper day. Sending❤ 2 to you and your family from Rosie O from Devon England 👏💐🇬🇧
Hi Lauren, love what you do ❤ I was wondering while I was watching you restock your refrigerator. First do you have leftovers and how do you store them in the fridge? Thanks 😊
Was at trader Joe's last week, I got the little yellow potatoes, cereal bars, donuts the fall flavored one, and the Pumpkin spice cream Liquor! Yum! I'm from Illinois but I just can't watch the Chicago Bears, always losing!
I’m in Texas and I’m a no to football! I just do t see it worth my time. I would rather read! Lol love your recipes and your channel. Red curry doesn’t like me, so I can’t make this soup… love all ingredients in it.. may have to brainstorm another way to make it🧐
I like and follow your channel. 😊 I just wonder how you can mix light and colored clothes in your washing machine? 😅 And another question: How old were you when you became a mother? Greetings from Sweden.
What a great video.....but, doesn't it drive you nuts at how long it takes to do a load of dishes in the dishwasher? I noticed on your dishwasher it started with 259 minutes...Really? The person who engineered these machines has no clue that a housekeeper needs a little faster approach to doing dishes.
I'm curious... do your fruits and veggies not rot faster after rinsing them??? I know you do give it a little of drying time, but I'm skeptical about rinsing them and leaving them opened in the fridge because of many reasons.
Funny, I absolutely hate hearing sports on the tv, the worst possible thing to me, always felt sorry for my friends who had husbands that love sports, everyone is different, that's what makes the world go around.
Awe, this comment makes me sad. I think this a great house and they have done so much already to make it a home! She also mentioned, it was what the kids needed! She got her garden, the chickens and the pool!! And they keep on improving it. It takes time. They've only been there 1 yr. They also did a massive renovation on their last house and it took years.
Oh my goodness. I can’t imagine thinking that I know better than the person who I only know via the INTERNET, what is best for them & their family and then having the gall to say it. Honestly this is a definite drawback of technology!!
Well, somebody didn't learn manners! I can't believe you think you know more than Lauren does about her life and her family. You are projecting your feelings onto her, so extraordinarily rude.
She'll get it to her style, I know you weren't trying to be rude, and your just saying your own feelings, but with time She'll make it feel like home..I do agree with it seems it's a bit harder for her to figure this house out..but she's doing an awesome job getting there..happy friday!😊
Waiting is great. The house will reveal what needs to be done as you live in it. Take your time. Enjoy today. There is no rush. ❤
Lauren, you're such an incredible mom. Your family is so blessed to have you.
Like you said Lauren it took 10 years to get your Victorian Home to were you wanted it.I think our homes are ever changing as our lives change.Your soup looked amazing

I love you too, Lauren, you take care. I know you're so busy now. And don't stress out with the house. 😂❤
Don't rush into anything. Your old house is fabulous, look at what you loved there and copy it into the new one and improve it and then it will flow but take your time.
I love the sound of a football game also! Something so cheerful about it :)
From New England, so Patriots. Husband was born in San Fran so we’re also a 49’ers household. And Detroit lions is where his grandparents are from so always supporting them. And I just enjoy watching Baltimore as well.
The spice doughnuts put in 350 oven for 5 minutes , they taste like churro’s. Team with a bowl of vanilla ice cream. My favorite fall treat 😃
Lauren, As always, I am in awe of your organization skills😁. That soup looked amazing!!! Yum❤. Always look forward to seeing you and your videos.🙏🏻. And as always, continued prayers for your sweet Chewy boy and the chickens and the kitties❤

Your Victorian had an earthquake? I'm sorry to hear that, it must have been terrifying. You and hubby did an amazing job putting her back together, never would have guessed! Talk about seamless, wow. That would be an interesting tidbit for a storytime vlog with before and afters ❤
I have to have background noise while I’m doing my housework!!! Thank you Lauren for videos !!!

Smart move on waiting til after the holidays to do any type of renovation. We have a construction business and when our clients are doing a renovation or new build I ask them if this is their forever home or for a few years. Young adults coming home from college or are they bringing home their family to spend time with you or will it be the two of you enjoying your golden years? Same with football going… love to just listen. Dallas Cowboys country here… 🤠
No constructions over the holidays 🫣 turned out different… wish you the best and good nerves. Really liked the Style in the brochure at the beginning.
So enjoy watching your UA-cam videos! You inspire me even though my kids are grown 😃. Love that you are so involved in everything family and home including garden and chickens…
I’m more of a Saturday College Football fan but do love prepping on Sundays for the week. O, and on my bucket list is touring wine country aka Napa🍷 😁. I live in the South so not a “road trip”…. Please continue what you’re doing. So love watching.
Love your content and the reminder to wash your produce 😄 looks like the apples may not have been? They are one of the "dirty dozen" and one of the top ten foods that for sure should be washed ar home 👍
Also if there is cross contamination of pesticides on an organic farm they are no longer allowed to use the organic seal or claim to be organic. Unlike "natural" "green" or other marketing terms, certified organic is one of the few regulated standards.
Have you considered talking with a professional interior designer? I know it's an extra expense, but there's so much potential there that you might not even see because you're used to seeing it how it is. Reconfiguration might blow your mind with new ideas. Possibly worth the cost.
Wow, what a beautiful video. Thanks for sharing.

My 6 year old wants me to comment this : I really like you.
It just seems this house isn’t a good fit for you all. It doesn’t seem like it’s ever really been your home like your last place. 😢
Wait til it’s renovated
Hi Lauren! I dont have a blog, but I do have a UA-cam channel where I share some recipes 💕 @lifehappenswithnina
