Dynasty Warriors 3:XL - Ru Nan (Yellow Turbans) -

This is a speedrun of the Ru Nan stage, Yellow Turban version, on Dynasty Warriors 3: XL
In order to beat this stage, you have to defeat all three of Sun Jian, Liu Bei, and Cao Cao. Given my starting location, I chose to head north and take out Sun Jian. Cheng Pu's interference actually helped a little here, as he knocked me down and triggered the Scroll of Accuracy, which gives you double Attack for 10 seconds. This made Sun Jian's death slightly faster, translating to a 3 hit kill rather than the usual 5.
Sun Jian was not placed in the most ideal spot here, the optimal approach would be to have him as the first Wu general you encounter, but it was still pretty fast and the Scroll of Accuracy made up for the time loss.
After that, I go south to take on Liu Bei. Guan Yu and Zhang Fei were thankfully occupied so it made taking him on quick, although he appeared on the left which wasn't ideal, you would want him to be running down the centre of the path as you approach him.
All that's left is Cao Cao, and he gets a boost in stats compared to the other two as he is the last remaining (this happens regardless of who is the last one of the three to defeat). Using the Scroll of Accuracy, I was able to take him down as fast as possible with two 6 hit combos, and thankfully little interference from his troops or Cao Hong who sometimes is hanging around.
Xiahou Dun is one of my favourite characters to use, and he's good for speedruns with his hard hitting and fast attacks. I am not sure if he is the most optimal character here, starting position changes slightly between each character and also AI behaviour makes a difference here with how the first two leaders behave in approaching you. Still this is a nice time and not easy to improve, so I'm happy for now.
