@jeffcotten1081 The last game he worked on... I hope it will be a masterpiece when it releases! Dragon Quest is too big to just stop, I wonder what it will become without the character designer.. maybe he had apprentices who can keep going or something
In DQ3 one of npcs that live in Aliahan, where the protagonist is from, says their kingdom was once the crown of civilization for he entire world but things fell into ruin. In DQ11 that is essentially Heliodor, I wonder if Aliahan is one and the same. Also since the Luminary line still lived in Aliahan known as a family with heroic blood with ties to the royal family no less, I wonder if the Luminary settled down with Jade.
Truth and courage well light the way when all is in darkness according to dragon quest egrasail nice alternative really beyond where imagination is unlimited
Seeing DQI hero having the sword of light/Erdrick Sword in the scene where he’s looking onward to the castle is interesting cause the sword is in the Dragonlord’s castle meaning he got the sword and returned to Tatengel so he could be prepared to face him.
I beat the game last night, immediately after I learned Akira Toriyama had passed away. To me, it made this ending so much more poignant.
Wow what timing bro.....what timing....glad you had that experience, as if to truly say good bye.....😢😢😢 I miss him.
@@Skippygamer1I beat Dragon Quest 8 last night, and my heart sank when I saw the credit for Toriyama.
It just makes my heart flutter, being called Erdrick…
Man that DQ1 Hero is amazing
If this happens to be the last Dragon Quest ever or the last rpg, it finishes with the highest note and the greatest legacy.
12 is being made, probably will be announced in the next few years

@@tacticslc4805Akira toriyama and koichi sugiyama both worked on dq12 before passing, so dq12 is the last game that they would’ve worked on
I cried when i saw the DQ1 Hero taking the sword
No gonna Lie, I cried a tear of joy with the final part.
Beautiful! I’ve been a fan since the NES which I owned as a teenager in the 80’s and Dragon Warrior (Dragon quest) was among my favorites!
So, that means the Luminary is Ortega's ancestor and this game is like the Dragon Quest series' version of The Legend Of Zelda: Skyward Sword.
Exactly

@@blues4509wouldn't it make way more sense if it's Dundrasil? It was completely destroyed but Rab wanted to rebuild it.
Huh, so it makes sense to return the sword. No more fighting. Phew... it sure aches the muscle when you swing a sword for too long.
