Seems like the customization of icons in home screen is weirdly a wallpaper bug. I had the same issue, but after I changed my wallpaper from my wallpaper gallery, that fixed it.

Yes, I have the same problem on You Tube, although I last updated the You Tube App store as well, it's still a tiny screen, in the upper left corner and the rest of the screen is black, then I have to turn the iphone again and turn it back to landscape mode and then it's back to full to see the video, I have been like this for several weeks. I got two issues with beat 3 Emoji button on keyboard doesn’t work. If I type the the word of the emoji I want I can use the text suggestion with the emoji shown. 2nd issue is RANDOMLY my music gets muted with my AirPods
Storage issue (system data taking up 180GB of 256gb STORAGE) has been fixed for me after I did a complete reset of my iPhone Xs while on iOS 18 DB2. Before that, lots of kernel panics, lots of reboots, slowing down of the system and general overhearting. Just upgraded to iOS 18 DB3 without any major issues.
After update the Beta 3, my emoji has been reset. But when I tried search the emoji that I want, it was there. All my emoji that I always used was on the search.
You can fix the home screen bug by switching wallpapers. Select another wallpaper, customise the icons how u want then switch back to your original wallpaper. Bit of a workaround but that worked for me

I have a major issue with the camera app on the iPhone 15 Pro Max (iOS 18 beta 3), all photos are in low quality and the error message reads “An Error Occurred While Loading a Higher Quality Version of this”. The only way to fix this is to reopen the app.
Had the same problem once I powered my phone off and turned it back on I started getting notifications again you can try that and see if it works for you
The health app keeps crashing for me and my sound keeps going extremely quiet and I have to manually switch it from the handset mode to the speakers. Even when I switch it sounds like 20% even though it’s at 100%
The only issue I’m having with beta 3 is the quality of pro raw images. They take a long time to load in the photos app, and even when they do, they’re not sharp. It’s like nothing is actually in focus. Anyone else have that issue?

I had the alarm bug issue this morning too. Thankfully I still have an old fashioned alarm clock but if I didn’t I would have been late to work this morning. My control center has been working fine for me. The keyboard for me is still very laggy especially when typing quickly. And when controlling music, sometimes the music will continue to play, even after pressing pause or completely shutting down the music app. I had to turn the phone off to get it to stop. Though this only seems to happen when playing through the phone speakers. Using my AirPods or in my car does not cause this issue.
Closing out of a photo using the ‘X’ button doesn’t work, I have to manually close out of the Photos app. Also, while watching UA-cam videos or a movie if anyone says the word theory, Siri starts. Never happened until 18B3.
I wish Apple actually posted about these serious issues on their social media channels or send the users a mail or message. It sucks that we the users have to go and research about it and find it through third party websites/ blogs or UA-cam channels. Which I must mention am truly grateful for, but it sucks they don’t communicate this directly even when the situation is so grave.
Spotlight search was a fail for me after the initial update from 17 to 18 Beta 3 but after a reboot it is working just fine. Battery seems to be draining quickly.
After installing iOS 18 Public Beta I immediately get the issue with Screen Time. And there's no way to fix it, even after doing restart it's not working. It kept on crashing every time I try to open it.
After updating to 18.3, I can no longer customize my apps, but I can edit the widgets from the same drop down. As stated in an other post below, I added a new wallpaper from my photo gallery, now I can customize the screen, if I go back to a previous wallpaper, it looks up again.
Awesome video as always! Unfortunately I found out the hard way that my major bank does not recognize the mobile app it uses. I could not log in with my biometric enrollment or log in at all, when I called customer service the bank received an update that day that says the new beta program does not support the mobile app.

AirPods Pro (2nd Generation) also seemed to be updated, beta wise to 7A244b, with case firmware 70.72.0. The connection seems very buggy, with it dropping out every few minutes or so for me.
I really really just want google maps to fine track me in the background. Currently, even though all switches are on for tracking, it sometimes won't track at all, or just gives me straight lines between my destinations.
I only have 128 gb of storage on my iPhone 15 Pro I just hope that my phone can handle this update when it comes out ( iOS 18) comes out in September ❤😊
I’m on the 17.6 beta and while I was using my 2nd gen AirPod Pros they disconnected and every time I reconnected them they’d immediately disconnected. I was also using an older iPad running the lastest version of iOS 16 that they were also paired to, but no audio was playing so they shouldn’t have been switching. I’ll have the occasional audio glitch, but besides that everything works pretty fine.

My iPad Pro 11” third gen both on beta2 and beta3 doesn’t remember my settings for allowing access to my location, no problem with my iPhone 14. No ios18 for my HomePod mini it is on 17.6 Both my iPhone and iPad cannot see any alarms, I get a message saying to update to the latest software
To fix the UI bug where it uses the microphone constantly. use the new control centre to see what's using it mine was something in accessibility. I checked all the settings and found it was voice shortcuts which had nothing set up. So I set up a new voice shortcut and then turned voice shortcuts off and it went off. Hope this helps someone. Like this so more people can see it. Im also experiencing some issue with audio where certain apps sound just stops working completely.
For home screen customization if you switch to a different Lock Screen you have saved it starts working or tweak it a little like turning on or off wallpaper blur
i wonder what the vision pro will look like after hair, skin, dirt, and sweat grease, oil (all from a human ) will make the “experience” like? Potentially a facial petri dish? and the price will make it an expensive experiment! the next iteration should have removable straps and surrounds so you can wash the blessed thing

First time hearing the storage bug in a video lol (maybe I don’t pay enough attention), but if that’s the bug where it fills up and then reboots, I never had the problem on my iPhone. But my iPad had it so bad even on iPadOS 18b3, that I decided to restore it (after having to update it to b3 using recovery mode because it was so bad). That seems to have fixed it, but I haven’t tried restoring it from a Mac backup (Finder wouldn’t load the iPad, it’d be in the sidebar but just be a blank screen).
It seems Apple has scrapped its iOS 17.5.2 update according to information today. Looks like iOS 17.6 is next.

You can fix the home screen bug by switching wallpapers. Select another wallpaper, customise the icons how u want then switch back to your original wallpaper. Bit of a workaround but that worked for me

If your apps are completely black in the folders, just reorder them in the folder and they will appear again
I had a day when my mode stayed in sleep mode the entire day. Weird.....and I don't have any betas installed

My storage bug was so bad on my MacBook M2 I had to wipe it & completely reboot. I had over 400GB of storage crud. 😂

The storage bug has not been fixed for me on Beta 3. I had to restore to a previous backup to free up my storage. So far, since then, so good… 🤞🏿🤞🏿🤞🏿

On 18. Beta 3 iPhone 14pm. Have a an email bug. My emails to load automatically. I have to open the email app for emails to load.
As long as the software is beta version I won't complain 🙂

Unless you’re prepared to deal with constant freezing and crashing, I do not recommend it! Or if you do, you’d better have a backup device.
