I know I'm like 8 years late to the party, but I just finally got around to playing this gem of a game. This idea is about 2-3 months in the making, first taking root back around September/October (2021). I had to play through the entire game first (with plenty of save scumming). Then I had to gather some props (hat, boards, table leg, some skeleton keys..). Some I already own (gas can, coat, syringe, shovel, axe, journal, nails..). Some I had to make (cut the hat, hammer nails into the board, paint an egg red, weird cross with hot glue, branches & mud). I thought about voicing the character using an Eastern European accent, but it sounded too much like Corvus & Comrade Yuri (my other characters) so I opted not to. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did making it, especially if you're a fan of the game like myself!
This video is everything I’ve ever wanted!!!! I love Darkwood so much! Now….. Imagine…. if you will…. A asmr let’s play of Darkwood with the Stranger or Corvus.

This was awesome, E! I found myself immersed in this world throughout the video. At 24:19, there is something heard that cannot be understood, which adds to the mystery of this place! I will have to play Darkwood, it looks terrifying and I love that! Great job!
I've been fascinated by Darkwood for quite some time, it has such a good atmosphere... plus, as a horror thing, despite my love of places with lots of trees I've always had a fear of forests at night. I can't play Darkwood myself because I'm easily intimidated by challenging games, but I've certainly enjoyed watching playthroughs. It falls in a weird place where it's both intense, but also relaxing for me to watch and listen to, so I've actually fallen asleep to the game itself before. xD
Damn I had totally forgotten about dark wood, that was a trippy ass game but I loved it so much. The mystery and strategy and battle mechanics. Plus all the characters and decisions.

I bought Darkwood right after watching this video. Played it on Nightmare. Played it on Nightmare again and again and again. Hey rift, just a small costume tip: if you wanna go for a rugged look, maybe try just going outside and getting some parts of your costume dirty. For example your hat (despite being torn (which I like a lot)) looks very very clean and it's pretty strange considering the whole setting of Darkwood. I think the same can be applied to that red bandana - you see it's almost shiny. Of course I get it if you don't wanna bother with such things, getting stuff cleaned isn't always easy. Anyways, fantastic video as always, I just figured I would share my thoughts. Cheers!
