I got my CDL A at Cr England Premiere Truck Driving School in Salt Lake City Utah. In only 10 days April 22nd -May 1st 2024. The training was amazing, don’t listen to the bad reviews and find out for yourself.
Went w/Premier TD school, got license upgraded from B-A in 10days (7/22/24-8/2/24). Was told they req. at least 3mo exp. Premier recruiter ghosted me, can only do regional at best. ODFL is my dream driving job. I hear there's no female ops in my state (I'm about to change that). I have EVERY endorsement lol.
Great job! It's too bad about the recruiter ghosting you, but it sounds like you're determined to get your dream job. With all your endorsements, you're definitely on the right track. Keep pushing forward and good luck
I graduated diesel driving academy in 88 lol went with Schneider nobody can spec a truck like they could 84 barnyard Cadillac no power steering 112 inch wheelbase and spring ride NO air oh it was interesting haha stayed there 5 years and did it 17 more years until my left leg had to be amputated I wouldn’t have NO DESIRE to do it again and go thru school the way the laws have changed I’ve gut a buddy that I got a job at Beacon transport in Nashville that’s still there that’s where I was driving when I had my amputation he’s still there 15 years later but he’s got a camera that faces him in the cab I wouldn’t deal with that I’d quit it’s sure not what it used to be for sure it’s went downhill in lots of ways!!! But that being said I’ve gut lots of good memories and fun experiences to look back at..
Thanks for sharing your story! It’s wild to hear how much trucking has changed since the '80s-those old trucks sound like a real workout! It's great that you've got good memories from the road, despite the changes and challenges. Those stories are gold for the new drivers out there!
That sounds like a great plan! Knight Transportation is known for its driver-friendly policies and solid training programs, especially for new drivers. It's a good choice for gaining valuable experience early in your career. Make sure to look into their specific programs and benefits to see how they align with your career goals. Starting with a reputable company can set a strong foundation for your future in trucking. Safe driving!
I got my cdl through pam transport/Driver solutions, schooling was great and i had a great mentor but once on my own pay was horrible n barely got any loads or the bottom of the barrel loads because my dispatcher was new also.
There's a lot to consider like freight options, transparent pay, and support. It depends what you're looking for! Fill out your info here and a driver consultant will be in touch with you to discuss your goals -> drive4ats.com/apply-now Tell them OverTheRoadATS sent you 😉
Be a good idea if the trainers or whatever they call them would teach not to stop on the shoulder of the road, 90% of the time they are at an exit and still stop on the side of the road putting everyone in danger
How to get trucker, panel van, bus, mini truck, taxi, private cars, forklift jobs? I’m from South Africa looking for a job abroad... anyone willing to connect me through!!?
Thanks for sharing your perspective! Everyone’s journey is different, and sometimes it takes a few tries to find the company that aligns with your expectations and goals as a driver.

Thoughts on Knight transportation? I have had my cdl class A for 6 months and wanted to start with them when I turn 21 in december.

Are there any good companies in Canada for the new drivers?
I would take a look at Bison. They usually make our lists. Where have you check out so far?
