Absolutely splendid characterization of Haas. When I bought his book in 1971 I was captivated by the freedom of his artistic expression. I just found your YT channel. I hope you continue to do profiles with this insight and great narrative. Great work!
I love the ease and flow of your narrative in your blogs. Coupled with your selective images presented as you tell your view, gives a nice well rounded approach to your journaled stream of thought... Keep up your awesome explanations from such a curious wondering in your researched conclusions.. Great work!!!!
An excellent production with an outstanding script. Haas ignited my interest and has inspired me more than any other. As a teen I saw his bullfighter image; my body shook. It was a picture of TIME. Glad to find your channel. Good luck.
Great channel. Please keep up the thoughtful presentations. I had only seen a few photos of Haas before this video. I love the work! I just ordered two books. Thank you for the inspiration!!
Just discovered your channel and I really appreciate your articulate and thoughtful presentations of these artists. It makes a nice change of speed from the ubiquitous gear reviews and tips-and-tricks videos that dominate. I hope more people find their way to your channel!
Ernst Haas is a huge influence to me and I thank you for this inspiring video. I hope you'd consider looking into Pete Turner also - another person whose work gives me joy.
I would be interested in your thoughts about the photograper Edward Weston and his work. Some of his images of the simplest things, for me, are quite evocative and in a way force the viewer to re-examine the beauty and form of nature, oftentimes appearing as artistic sculpture when it’s actually something as simple as a plant. He has some amazingly mesmerizing images of peppers, for example. 🫑 🌶️
What a superb tribute to, and summation of the life and work of Haas. Thank you
Ernst Haas was so gifted in art and photography that no other can hold a candle to him!
Must say how much I enjoyed your well made + intelligently narrated video on the masterful Haas. Thank you, and all the best.
Glad you enjoyed it! All the best to you as well!
One of the best analisys about the great master, thank you

Heute is German for "today". Pop it into google translate to hear the pronuciaton.
Say "Hoite"
Interesting Haas spent time with HCB, a firmly committed B&W photographer. It was Capa that sponsored him into Magnum.
Mask On Nurse Marty (Ret)
Is this presentation a school project?
Nope. Just a guy who loves photography and photography history.
It's not "hewt" ffs, it's more like "hoyte".
It’s pronounced “hoytah” not “hyoot”. I know, I’m being pedantic 😊
You're not the first to correct me and i doubt you'll be the last but i thank you all the same.
Indeed you are.
For Christs sake check your pronunciation of “heute”!
Nice thanks, but why wear the hat indoors, it plays down your credibility?
